Last time around I had an immediate distaste for coffee the day of my bfp. Since I quit coffee this year, I'm not experiencing that.
So far, I've been trying to stick to healthy eating with morning smoothie, yogurt/granola/seeds for lunch and a regular dinner. The only thing I notice is that sweet churns my stomach a little and that food in general seems kind of unappetizing. I ordered pizza on Sunday and it just seemed "meh", everything I ate yesterday seemed that way too. I'll just take this as a gift since I will want to eat ALL THE THINGS in 2nd and 3rd trimesters.
@mamahmh2 Same here, when things actually sound good...last night/today it's been pizza. I just want pizza.
Yesterday was cabbage, though, with lemon juice, garlic powder, and onion powder. Most random craving ever, but constipation got taken care of. (TMI?)
Coffee hasn't sounded good for about a week, either...I powered through and had it a couple days last week, but it just wasn't the same. I switched over to chai tea Sunday, and that's been better, although today it wasn't my favorite thing. I can't seem to get enough carbonated stuff, though -- sparkling water, ginger ale, cranberry Sprite Zero, etc. Water grosses me out right now (who has a taste aversion to WATER? how is that even possible?) but if it has bubbles, I want it.
@ki1244 YES! hahaha pizza for the win!! Okay, so you peaked my interest with the cabbage thing.... did you eat this before baby? Is it good tasting or does it just solve the cravings? I like stir fry with cabbage, do you cook it the same way?
@mamahmh2 I'll do cabbage or kale that way sometimes for breakfast, as the base of a BLT bowl -- sounds weird but it's actually really good. Sauté my cabbage or kale with lemon juice, S&P, onion, garlic, and add chopped tomatoes, canadian bacon, an egg (with the yolk just BARELY cooked through), and diced avocado. So I had that for breakfast yesterday, but then all day just wanted more of the cabbage. Six hours and three servings later, I was through a 10-oz bag and didn't feel so great. But it was all I wanted at the time! No idea why.
Basically all food is making me sick right now! I’m living on crackers, plain pasta, pretzels and popsicles. That pre natal vitamin should keep baby happy until I can eat real food a bit more! (I always joke that the best way I’ve found to lose that last tiny little bit of baby weight is morning sickness...)
@indulgentgypsy My workspace is right next to the catering station in my office that gets used probably once a week. Today they had tacos and it smelled sooooo good That said, I really hope my scent aversions don't get too severe...sometimes they put out chafing dishes that smell like butane
@Squirtgun the morning sickness with my boys was awful, and I lost weight with both of them. Crazy how that works!
No real cravings yet. We did got to a place called Fuddruckers on Sunday and I went to town on some chicken tenders and cheese fries. I would do that even if I wasn't pregnant though haha! Still delicious though and I wish the closest one to us wasn't an hour away
due 7/4.... i thrive on coffee and it's starting to be an aversion. happened my first healthy pregnancy, as well. also, no cravings, but food in general just doesn't sound good. I will take this as a healthy sign!
Nothing sounds good to me. I did had a delicious pizza from Mod the other day. It had artichokes, garlic cloves, purple and green olives, and Parmesan.
Went to a basketball game last night and walking around the concourse I spotted a veggie burger. Normally I wouldn't touch that at a basketball arena, but for whatever reason it sounded amazing and I had to have it. One bite and I realized I'm going to have to draw some lines in the sand with Baby because that is ABSOLUTELY NOT happening again. (I slathered on some extra mayo and pickles and got it down but GROSS never again.)
Dinner tonight was baked chicken, roasted okra and squash, and wild rice. Chicken and veggies were home grown/raised. After wanting nothing but junk this was a good change and really hit the spot!

Nothing, everything is gross.
Seriously. All I can stomachs is dry toast. I’ve been taking small bites of other things and attempting to drink protein shakes but my food aversion is making me gag/puke every meal. 😩 thank goodness I have an appointment coming up so that I might be able to get a stronger nausea med so I can finally eat.
I haven't had any cravings yet. I do feel hungry all day though and nothing sounds great to me latley. I have been drinking a small cup of coffee in the morning but latley it is making me nauseous and I cant finish it!
DH picked up some frozen Totinos pizzas on his way home and I'm so excited to eat! I will eat an entire one by myself, no shame! He also grabbed me some Rocky Road ice cream and I can't wait to have a bowl after dinner!
My pregnant self neglected to bring enough food to school today. First day I have an appetite in 2 weeks and I have food or snacks. Verging on hangry...
After complaining that Pizza did not taste good anymore, I still continued to eat pizza leftovers for dinner the past 2 nights. And I bought a frozen cauliflower crust pizza at the store today.
I'm starting to think I need to go home and take another pregnancy test because I'm literally having no cravings, no aversions, no nausea, nothing. If it wasn't for the tiredness and how spacy I am, I would think it's just another day.
@babyginjuly I wouldn't be too worried. Symptoms come, go, waver, and are different in every pregnancy. Plus it's still a bit early for a lot of us as it's usually around 6+wks that hormones really tend to kick in.

We are having baked chicken, veggies, and potato wedges tonight. The seasonings are making my kitchen smell like the totinos combination pizza and now that's all I want...

That is not what I am currently eating, but it is what I am craving.

I've been coffee free for about a week now completely against my will. Thankfully the caffeine headaches have subsided.
