Looks like AF is starting so I go here for now. As soon as I have a “full flow” I’m supposed to call my RE so we can get started on round two of IVF. FX it works this time bc I think it will be our last attempt at IVF.
So hopeful for you @char245 sorry about what happened last round - are they going to monitor you more closely this time with more u/s ?
AF just stopped so CD7 and I go here now...I took 5mg of femara instead of 2.5mg this month. Hoping this does the trick. My doc never checked to see if the femara was still working the way it’s supposed to after my MMC and I don’t think it was because ‘after ovulation’ I have had cramping that I swear is my ovaries so I think I was just making cysts not eggs again. Plus this weird spotting before each of my periods, before AF just showed up like normal. And he’s only given us until Jan with the femara, then we have to do something else or take a break. To be honest I started the increased dose without asking my doc because I have enough prescription to do 5mg for the next 3 months. None of the literature says these any harm in increasing the dose. And my doc said it was the next step before my MMC happened if I hadn’t gotten pregnant.
@justarius we are doing a completely different protocol so they think it will keep that from happening again, here’s hoping! I hope the femara does the trick for you! Will they be monitoring you this cycle to make sure it’s doing what it’s supposed to?
@char245 oh I hope the new protocol works! No monitoring because like I said I didn’t actually ask the doc...I don’t have an appt until January because last time I saw him he just said 4 more months of femara and then I’ll see you after. And if I tried to change the appt to earlier it probably wouldn’t be until early Jan anyway because of Christmas (he’s always booking like 2 months in advance) so I’m kind of just stuck making these decisions on my own and hoping he won’t be mad at me after :S
@SpongeWorthy it’s going good. I feel a lot better than I did beforehand. A lot less pain. I’m getting around on a cane and will probably be able to lose it soon.
@denma2015 I feel ya with the shift work. We do 12 hr 2 days 2 nights, so temping is pretty much pointless for me. I borrowed my friends femometer, which seems way more accurate than the other thermometers I have, but still. The wonky sleep pattern screws it up. When I temp after I wake up post night shift, it seems it aways higher than it would have been if I was waking in the morning. And the app keeps yelling at me to be more consistent haha.
I guess I'm back here now. This one is a bit rough for me, because next expected O will be on my due date. Having a tough time with that. Both DH and I got it off work which is good. I'm kinda Considering booking us for a mid week mini vacation at a local hotel. Spend some quality time with each other, relax, and get in as much time DTD as possible 😂. Worked last time...maybe we will get lucky. I'm really feeling like I'm broken lately.
It's always a very emotional time when the DD is approaching and comes. I never know how I am going to feel. I hope you can find some happiness in the day and maybe a bit of relaxation. Great idea to get away.
