I havent been around much the past week. I'm really struggling emotionally with going back to work tomorrow. I dont feel ready to leave DS but I dont have a choice either. Also he started to run a low fever last night and has had bad diarrhea today so far. Would it be terrible to call in for a sick day on my first day back? 🤣 (Just kidding...kind of...I think DH will take the day off work)
Today has been a day that I'm seriously questioning the decision to have a third child. My kiddos have been super naughty, not getting along, no naps were taken, keep trashing the living room and the play room and then losing their shit when it's clean-up time... we were just attempting to color and they kept getting in each other's space... is it bedtime yet?
@brie_and_almonds we all have those days, but today I like to blame those kinds of behaviors on the time change. It seems to really throw kids off. For all the hard days there are so many more little joys that make the tough days/moments worth it. Hang in there!
@brie_and_almonds Wait...you're telling me you actually have times when they're *not* getting in each other's space?? Teach me your ways!!! My girls are currently chasing each other around tackling each other. Literally, full on body checking and pinning to the ground. Then whining that they're hungry yet not eating the dinner I cooked. And no naps. We're putting them to bed at 7 tonight...which is still 1.5 hours away 😫
@imrachellea I feel like mine are like that all day long regardless of the time change or not. But we did have a nice quiet moment today while driving home from church. The car was nice and quiet and no one was arguing and I was like Yes!!! But then they got out the car and immediately started at it again and one was crying because the other hit her. Maybe we should have just got for a long Sunday drive.

@fatmonica and @imrachellea thank you both for commiserating with me. I am definitely blaming daylight savings time for some of their naughtiness, and also they just spent a good chunk of the day at MIL's house yesterday while DH did some projects around the house and I was grading papers, and they always come back from there with like a behavioral hangover, having forgotten how to listen, etc. So it's even worse than usual.
We just finished dinner and they're having a rare moment of peace. I'm currently hiding in the kitchen eating ice cream while they "put on a show" in the living room. We'll see how long it lasts until they smell chocolate or one of them bites the other or something.
I have to laugh. I’m reading a People magazine that my MIL gave to me because she was done with it. This issue has a huge cover story on Meghan Mariel being pregnant. Flip open to read the story, and they show a timeline of her “hiding” her bump starting on July 26th. Girl was what, 5 minutes pregnant then?!? 😂😂😂
@brie_and_almonds in our house almost every game turns into a wrestling match. Today we actually lucked out, it was the first nice day we’ve had in weeks and since we spent the afternoon going door to door to drop off pantry bags for the scouts the boys were worn out from the fresh air and played quietly the rest of the day. Yesterday though I was definitely questioning how we will survive with 3. Lol
@robyn2201 I'm definitely not blaming DLST for their behavior, this is all the time for us too. Even in the car they often fight and swing their legs out to kick each other (which is slightly terrifying having a baby in between). My favorite is when one starts singing, the other starts to sing with them, cue the first one screaming and shrieking at them saying "NO I'M SINGING STOP GET OUT"...so.much.fun.
@imrachellea I can relate to so much of that. I am also worried about how three across will work... once upon a time I had them right next to each other in the back seat, but they started attacking each other and pulling hair, so the extra space had to be between them... I'm not sure how everything will fit with an infant seat again.
Recently, we've been trying to get them to practice taking turns talking at dinner rather than just talkin over, shouting, or interrupting each other, but now they will filibuster each other so that the other one can't get a word in edgewise saying "um um um but I... um um um" frantically until they think of something to actually say.
Has anyone here seen making a murderer?! I am only just now watching the first season but I NEED to talk about it. I will totally make another thread if anyone is interested in discussing it. I'm dying.
@eatinwatermelonseeds I watched the first season and am now working on the second season. I can't believe some of the stuff that has gone on with the whole case. And I still dont know what I think. Some episodes I think he's guilty and others make me feel like he is completely innocent!
ETA I'd definitely participate in a thread about it!

Hospital clothing-wise, I just wore the gowns provided by the hospital the whole time. Getting changed into anything else just seemed like a chore.
