Had a DJ gig last night and it went amazing. Everyone had a great time. I am so freaking tired this morning though. It was a later night than usual and of course I stayed up super late on Friday getting my shit organized for last night. I am currently up with DD watching puppy pals and contemplating getting off my ass to make breakfast.
@ginger1228 and @grebretso I LOVE Schitt's creek. Honestly even though I'm Canadian I'm not usually a fan of Canadian TV cause it normally is sorta lame, this show is amazing and I love everything about it.
I love it too!!! I’m slowly going through the most recent season on Netflix. Normally I would binge, but I don’t want to run out of episodes lol
Well.. my dad died last night very unexpectedly. I’m in a weird place between needing to get shit done and wanting to crawl in a hole and never come out.
@megpants209 I’m so sorry! That is so sad and awful. Losing a loved one is so hard especially unexpectedly. If you need to vent, cry or get your thoughts/emotions out we will be here the best we can. Know however you grieve is right for you.
@megpants209 OMG! I am so sorry for your loss. I can’t imagine what you are going through right now. I will send all of the T&Ps as well as all of the creepy internet hugs.
FWP: As much as I’m looking forward to the FB move, I was stalking the Oct board for birth announcements/ stories and it’s seriously lacking. I can only assume this is because they’re all on FB.
Thank you all. It’s going to be a rough week. We will have to get him from Florida to Arlington National and none of us have any idea how this all works
@megpants209 I'm so sorry, that's awful news. Big, creepy internet hugs from over here!
That sounds incredibly difficult to deal with both emotionally and logistically. Hopefully someone (like a funeral home, maybe?) will know how that works! It seems like the sort of thing a lot of people won't be prepared for, so there might be a system in place to help out. I hope you and your family are able to get him there as smoothly as possible.

@grebretso luckily(?) he already has a plot at Arlington National Cemetery so I’m going to call them once we land and start trying to figure it out. My mother and I are the de facto family caretakers so I have a feeling this will largely be me coordinating. I’m kind of a control freak so I do prefer it this way but we were super close so it’s really hard...
@megpants209 so sorry for you and your family! That has to be so tough to be the one planning and making decisions too! Hopefully you find some info that makes it easier soon!
Oh @megpants209, I’m so sorry. My dad died unexpectedly in his sleep in May of 2016 when my toddler was only 6 weeks old. I also had to coordinate all of the affairs. It’s a lot to digest. Be kind to yourself. Sending so much love your way.
@megpants209 I’m so sorry about your dad. My dad died two years ago when my DS was 8 months old. Basically went into the hospital and didn’t come out. It sucks incredibly hard. The worst part is the arrangements and then having to do the wake/funeral etc. I’ll be thinking of you, keep strong but it’s okay to break down too.
