@liamsmommy09 Heyyy! There aren't many Canadians on here so it's cool to see someone from the same province The snow, omg, the snow. It's so brutal, and it's coming soon
2. What is your favorite and least favorite part of where you live? That it takes me 35 minutes to get to Target.
3. Do you plan to stay where you are for a while, or are there any moving plans in your future? We will be here forever! This is my hometown and we absolutely love it. My family lives here and they are such a big help with our sons.
4. If money/work/logistics were no object, what would be your dream place to live? Maybe the beach? I don't know that my mind has ever really even thought of living anywhere else.
Fave part: ummm being Canadian is beyond a blessing in general.
Least fave: paying duty for online shopping & american exchange rates is the worst & only down side. LoL
Plan on moving: no I can’t see us leaving Guelph. I’m from Toronto & moved her for university. Its a great place to raise a family.
If money/ work/ logistics was no option: i know we’d still have a home base in Canada. We’d also have a winter home in Whistler (still Canada) & travel to tropical places as often as possible.
2. What is your favorite and least favorite part of where you live? I love where I live. I think my favorite part is the green all around me. I think my least favorite part is the market. Rentals are incredibly expensive for the area and house prices are skyrocketing.
3. Do you plan to stay where you are for a while, or are there any moving plans in your future? We plan to stay. I might want to move a half hour away. We also might get priced out of the housing market if things continue the way they are.
4. If money/work/logistics were no object, what would be your dream place to live? Im so boring. I would want to live right where I am just give me more snow please!
@elliecele17 I love Guelph and all its hills I know a couple of people that moved there from Ottawa to go to university to become vets. Loving JT even more these days for his 18 month maternity leave plan
@bakerstreetboys yesss! Another Canadian perk. A choice between 12 or 18 month maternity leave I think I’ll take the 12 but its too early to know for sure.
I’m in North Carolina- I love that we are so close to mountains or the beach and that we actually have Fall! I’m originally from Louisiana and that just wasn’t a season we had there! We definitely will stay in the Carolinas but if we won the lotto we would probabaly also but a house in the northern region of Italy where my husband user to play hockey.
2. Favorite/least favorite? I love that I can walk and get to pretty much anything I want, and that my teens can go places without me having to shuttle them around all of the time. Right now I hate that my mornings include about 20 mins of mostly uphill walking. My stomach is not a fan.
3. Do you plan to stay for a while? For probably 2 more years and then we plan to buy a place that will include a bit more greenery and space at a more reasonable price, so probably move into Jersey.
4. Dream place? Anywhere nice where it doesn't snow. I hate the winter with a passion but the rest of the family loves it.
1. Where do you live? Lincoln, NE...but my husband is a New Englander born in Attleboro, MA
2. Favorite/least favorite? I love that Nebraska is home. People are so nice, and genuinely care about each other. Plus it's sooooo cheap, and my whole family is here. But winter is MISERABLE.
3. Do you plan to stay for a while? Legit have no idea. DH is a college basketball coach so the coaching carousel will start up in March and we have no clue where it will take us.
4. Dream place? Wherever DH is happily coaching, so long as it has easy flights to Omaha.
1. Where do you live? AZ. Grew up in PA, and lived in TX for a year.
2. What is your favorite and least favorite part of where you live? Love love LOVE the weather. I'll take the heat in the summer for 9 months of beautiful ANYDAY. We'll see how I feel about it at 9 months pregnant though. The drivers are my least favorite. I have driven in the 48 continentals and can vouch that AZ drivers are the most reckless, idiotic, impatient drivers anywhere in the US.
3. Do you plan to stay where you are for a while, or are there any moving plans in your future? Nope. We moved here on purpose and it is the dream we were hoping for. We are however looking to buy a house in a much better neigborhood here in the next year, so I'm hoping (EEK) to move either while pregnant or with a new baby and toddler in tow.
4. If money/work/logistics were no object, what would be your dream place to live? Here. Just more outside of town, with a ton of land. We'll get there someday, but for now, I'll settle for the adorable development starter home.
