    1. Where do you live? Utah

    2. What is your favorite and least favorite part of where you live? The mountains are so beautiful here! There are so many outdoor activities. We hike a lot in the summer and snowboard/ski all winter.  I really don't like how hot it gets here in the summer. Also the inversion in the winter is terrible. Our air quality in the winter is worse than living in downtown LA!

    3. Do you plan to stay where you are for a while, or are there any moving plans in your future? We plan to stay for at least a couple more years.

    4. If money/work/logistics were no object, what would be your dream place to live? We really want to move to Oregon or Washington. The climate is perfect for us. It’s just really hard to think about leaving our family right now.

  • 1. Where do you live? Ohio

    2. What is your favorite and least favorite part of where you live? Least favorite is that one day it can be 80 degrees and the next 65 degrees during different times of the year. It's annoying. Favorite: It's where the majority of our family is. We're very close to both sets of parents and all four grandmas.

    3. Do you plan to stay where you are for a while, or are there any moving plans in your future? We just bought our forever home. So we won't be going anywhere!

    4. If money/work/logistics were no object, what would be your dream place to live? I like Ohio. We get all of the seasons, which is nice, and we have our family. Maybe if we could transplant all of our family with us we would move closer to a bigger city.

  • 1. Where do you live? CT
    2. What is your favorite and least favorite part of where you live? I love living near the coast but still close to the city. Our area is pretty gorgeous too and I love having all 4 seasons. I hate how expensive it is and the traffic is completely out of control here.
    3. Do you plan to stay where you are for a while, or are there any moving plans in your future? Yes, we're in the middle of selling our house and purchasing another in the town next to us so we'll be here for the foreseeable future.
    4. If money/work/logistics were no object, what would be your dream place to live? I love where we will live but if money were truly no object then probably Europe - maybe a castle in Scotland and a villa in Tuscany? Dreaming big here.
  • 1. Where do you live? WI
    2. What is your favorite and least favorite part of where you live? People are friendly here. I HATE winter.
    3. Do you plan to stay where you are for a while, or are there any moving plans in your future? No plans to move, both of our immediate families live in the state.
    4. If money/work/logistics were no object, what would be your dream place to live? I don’t mind it here, just need to invent a way to get rid of winter 😂

  • 1. Where do you live?
    Bay Area, California!

    2. What is your favorite and least favorite part of where you live?

Diversity and weather are awesome, real estate costs not so much

    3. Do you plan to stay where you are for a while, or are there any moving plans in your future?

We are both born and raised in California and my husband works in tech, so I see no leaving

    4. If money/work/logistics were no object, what would be your dream place to live?

I am happy where I am! It feels good to feel like that
  • 1. Where do you live? Missouri

    2. What is your favorite and least favorite part of where you live? I hate everything about this area (landlocked, BAD drivers, not a lot to do, far away from other cool cities...), except there is great food and it’s cheap to live.

    3. Do you plan to stay where you are for a while, or are there any moving plans in your future? We don’t plan to be here forever. DH works for a large international company so hopefully we aren’t here past a few more years.

    4. If money/work/logistics were no object, what would be your dream place to live? We would go back to where I’m from... just outside of Toronto! My family is there and it’s the best city in the world!
  • 1. Where do you live?
    Texas!

    2. What is your favorite and least favorite part of where you live?
I love the friendly people and the warm weather! I spent four years in the Midwest for school, and was miserably cold for about forty of those forty-eight months. Give me hundred degree summers any day! I don't like the current mosquito problem here, especially since I'm convinced pregnancy always makes me get bitten more and makes my bites itch worse (probably just in my head).

    3. Do you plan to stay where you are for a while, or are there any moving plans in your future?
Yes. My husband's job options are either here or in cold places, so we won't be moving any time soon if we can help it.

    4. If money/work/logistics were no object, what would be your dream place to live?
My family is all in Central California, but I don't really want to live there, because I like cities and being able to afford a house. I'd really love to be close to them, though, especially with baby #2 on the way. So jealous of people with free babysitting! Basically, here in Texas, but with family close by.
  • 1. Where do you live? DFW area, Texas
    2. What is your favorite and least favorite part of where you live?

Looooooove where I live!  We are a block from our downtown square and it is amazing. Our town is pretty awesome. We have had a lot of construction lately which I don’t love.

    3. Do you plan to stay where you are for a while, or are there any moving plans in your future?

yup, we will be here a while!!

    4. If money/work/logistics were no object, what would be your dream place to live?

On the coast!  We love fishing and the beach ❤️
  • 1. Where do you live? Alberta, Canada

    2. What is your favorite and least favorite part of where you live? Favourite is we are so close to the mountains and so much to explore. Least favourite is all the snow and cold winters.

    3. Do you plan to stay where you are for a while, or are there any moving plans in your future? We will be staying for awhile for sure. If there are any moving plans it would just be to build again.

    4. If money/work/logistics were no object, what would be your dream place to live? Somewhere on the water. A little secluded cabin on a lake somewhere.
  • 1. Where do you live?  Texas (Dallas area)

    2. What is your favorite and least favorite part of where you live?  Lower cost of living.  It's too freaking hot.

    3. Do you plan to stay where you are for a while, or are there any moving plans in your future? I think we will be stuck here because my husband has no interest in moving.  I keep trying to talk him into it though.

    4. If money/work/logistics were no object, what would be your dream place to live? Scotland!
  • 1. Where do you live? Seattle

    2. What is your favorite and least favorite part of where you live? Favorite is having seasons and fresh air, least favorite.. honestly nothing. I live in NYC for a few years during pastry school and that reallllly made me appreciate the beauty of the PNW, although nyc was fun in its own way.

    3. Do you plan to stay where you are for a while, or are there any moving plans in your future? Staying here foreverrrr.

    4. If money/work/logistics were no object, what would be your dream place to live

thats hard bc all of our family lives here, maybe somewhere quieter like the coast once I’m older but who knows.
  • 1. Where do you live?  Southern California
    2. What is your favorite and least favorite part of where you live?  I hate that it never rains and I do not get to experience the change of the seasons anymore.  I miss the east coast.  However, I do love the beautiful blue skies that I see every day.
    3. Do you plan to stay where you are for a while, or are there any moving plans in your future?  Don't know.  We are here at least three more years and then we are talking about moving back home.
    4. If money/work/logistics were no object, what would be your dream place to live?  I would live in NYC.  I love the city that never sleeps.
  • @srscott3 hello fellow Torontonian!

I'm living in DC and love it except for the summer humidity. The walkability, green space, and architecture make it a charming place. We plan on staying for at least five years. If I lived by myself, I'd move to Montenegro, which is in my profile photo, or a coastal town in Brazil. With DH and DS, who are a bit hard to transplant, somewhere by the sea would be nice.
  • 1. Where do you live? NWI
    2. What is your favorite and least favorite part of where you live? Close to Chicago. Least is it’s Indiana so it sucks. There are not many good restaurants and we don’t live near water, friends or family.
    3. Do you plan to stay where you are for a while, or are there any moving plans in your future? We didn’t think we would be here this long but we are. We’re currently building a house and will sell the one we have now. Hoping to move back to MI, preferably Grand Rapids, Holland or Grand Haven area by the water.
    4. If money/work/logistics were no object, what would be your dream place to live? I would move back to MI on the water and then have many more all over (NY, Philly, CA, Italy etc).
  • @luckystar28 Hello to a fellow Bay Area mom!

    1. Where do you live? CA Bay Area
    2. What is your favorite and least favorite part of where you live? The weather is great, amazing restaurants and cultural events, beaches and hiking are close by. BUT, traffic is hellish and it’s hard to find a single family home for less than a million.
    3. Do you plan to stay where you are for a while, or are there any moving plans in your future? I’m a native and I don’t plan to leave. All our families are here too.
    4. If money/work/logistics were no object, what would be your dream place to live? I would stay in the Bay; I just wouldn’t have a giant mortgage.
  • @meatballs37 I grew up in SE Wisconsin, spent summers in NW WI, and it's still the place I lived the longest. It means I pretty much just laugh at everyone's complaints about winter everywhere else.

    1. Where do you live? Philly
    2. What is your favorite and least favorite part of where you live? It's got everything we liked about living in NYC but is actually affordable and people are generally nicer. I HATE the summer weather, tho.
    3. Do you plan to stay where you are for a while, or are there any moving plans in your future? Hopefully staying! We've been here almost 5 years now, which is pretty much a record. We moved 9 times in our first 7 years together, so we really hope Philly is our "forever" home. We even bought furniture that doesn't flat-pack!
    4. If money/work/logistics were no object, what would be your dream place to live? Wellington, New Zealand. We almost moved there last year except logistics of ever seeing family (they live scattered all over the US), the cost of the move, and getting the dog safely there ended up stopping us.
  • 1. Where do you live?

    Denver

    2. What is your favorite and least favorite part of where you live?

Love being near the mountains and the outdoor lifestyle. Plus Denver is growing so much, the influx of better restaurant, bars, etc is great. But that brings my least favorite part too...causing housing prices to increase so rapidly that friends have left, and you just can’t tell how it will shape the city. I know it’s not nearly as expensive as other cities, but a higher mortgage than I signed up for when I left Chicago.

    3. Do you plan to stay where you are for a while, or are there any moving plans in your future?

We love it here!! If we were to move it would be more about family situations that could come up.

    4. If money/work/logistics were no object, what would be your dream place to live?

We love it here, but would definitely add a mountain home in Steamboat. We would consider northern CA though (San Francisco or maybe wine country). DH and I lived in San Fransisco at separate times years ago and it really is beautiful and you have mountains and water, great wine a stones throw away, etc. It’s like Denver, we love living in places where other people go for vacation!!
  • @jhems776 and @marijaa333  Hiiiiii neighbors!

    1. Where do you live? DC area

    2. What is your favorite and least favorite part of where you live? fave= I’m from here so tons of family and friends around. Also, love the city vibe, interesting people/neighbors, diversity, and close to eastern shore. Dislike= Traffic, commute to work is hell, cost of living is bonkers!

    3. Do you plan to stay where you are for a while, or are there any moving plans in your future? Probably never leaving. We are both from here and have good jobs. Also, my parents would die if I took the kids away from them.

    4. If money/work/logistics were no object, what would be your dream place to live? Probably Northern California or the Pacific Northwest.
  • 1. Where do you live?

    long beach, california.

    2. What is your favorite and least favorite part of where you live?

favorite: close to the water, city by the beach, lots of events & things to do.

least favorite: cost of living/homes & crime.

    3. Do you plan to stay where you are for a while, or are there any moving plans in your future?

we want to move, started looking into it & boom, pregnant w/number 3!

    4. If money/work/logistics were no object, what would be your dream place to live?

i’d love to travel the states to find where we want to really root down. so far we’re liking TN, WA & OR.

  • Hey @jhems776 and @JuneBabyH - which OB are you planning on using? I'll be at GWU as I live and work in the district and had our DS there without any issues. ( @JuneBabyH I agree the COL is bonkers!)
  • 1. Where do you live? Metro Detroit

    2. What is your favorite and least favorite part of where you live? Michigan is beautiful...but it's humid in the summer and cold in the winter.

    3. Do you plan to stay where you are for a while, or are there any moving plans in your future? We are looking to move in the same city we reside right now. Trying to ready the house to sell.

    4. If money/work/logistics were no object, what would be your dream place to live? On a cruise ship, sailing around the world.
  • @marijaa333 I delivered first DS at Sibley bc we lived in the city then. Second DS was born at Holy Cross and I’ll deliver there again this time. Honestly, I prefer Sibley, but it’s just so inconvenient now. I’m with OBGYN Associates. ...I have many friends who love GW!
  • @luckystar28 & @TJtheGoat Where are ya'll at in the bay.

I'm also here loving the weather and hating the cost of living. It's unclear if we'll stay here (initially it was supposed to only be 3yrs and were now approaching 10yrs so...)
If we could live anywhere we'd prob go to an insland in a small country somewhere by the beach & ocean. It's hard to top the bay though....feel like it's ruined all the other locations 😄
  • @JuneBabyH people seem to really love Sibley! I've heard good things about HC too.
  • 1. Where do you live? Jacksonville FL.

    2. What is your favorite and least favorite part of where you live? I love the proximity to the beach, summer all year round.  I hate how hot it can be in the summer.

    3. Do you plan to stay where you are for a while, or are there any moving plans in your future? I want to stay, but DH is in the military and he gets new orders right after baby is due. Crossing my fingers for FL because I don't want to move with a newborn.

    4. If money/work/logistics were no object, what would be your dream place to live? amelia island Florida. It is the most beautiful place. We often go up for a weekend trip. Just yesterday we were talking about where we were going to retire and that is for sure where I want to retire.
  • 1. I live in MA
    2. I don’t like how long winter hangs around but I love the change in seasons. Also... Cape Cod. 🙌🏼
    3. We are planning on buying our first home in the next few months and my husband just got a great job at an awesome company so we’re sticking around!
    4. Honestly, I love New England. My entire family is close by. I wouldn’t leave even if I had a choice.
  • I was starting to think I'd be the only one rep-ing MA! Glad to have that not be the case!
  • @prpl11butterfly haha! I’m from central ma. 😃
  • Me too! But north, almost in NH.
  • @futurelowe We live in the east bay, but have lots of family on the peninsula so we spend a lot of time driving across the bridge.
  • 1. Where do you live? - Nashville
    2. What is your favorite and least favorite part of where you live? - Favorite: I love the vibe of the city, the zoo and parks, and awesome restaurants. Least: it's a city. I don't like cities.  :D
    3. Do you plan to stay where you are for a while, or are there any moving plans in your future? - We will probably move once DH graduates.
    4. If money/work/logistics were no object, what would be your dream place to live? - On a mini farm, in a beautiful historical house near family and friends.

    1. Where do you live? Mississippi, originally from Philadelphia

    2. What is your favorite and least favorite part of where you live? The people are sweet and very neighborly, but the summers are wayyyy too long and wayyyy too hot.

    3. Do you plan to stay where you are for a while, or are there any moving plans in your future? H gets out of the military next year. We'll probably stick around here for another year while we build a home/farm in the Nashville suburbs.

    4. If money/work/logistics were no object, what would be your dream place to live? Lake Tahoe or Jackson Hole. I want mountains in my backyard!
  • 1. Where do you live? IL, and not Chicago
    2. What is your favorite and least favorite part of where you live? I enjoy small town living and that we have a lot of friends and family close by. I do wish we lived closer to a big city so we’d have more to do on the weekends
    3. Do you plan to stay where you are for a while, or are there any moving plans in your future? We don’t plan to move and have actually been avoiding it with my job
    4. If money/work/logistics were no object, what would be your dream place to live? Probably a secluded island for me, although I could never convince DH to live there

  • @harrierwife hooray for Philly! Anything you'd recommend as a used-to-be native? We've been here for almost 5 years, but I still feel like we are just starting to get to know this place.
  • @spacepiraterunner - High five! Oh gosh, where do I start?

I lived in Center City so most of my recs will be in that area, but there's La Va Cafe, Butcher's Sew Shop (sewing lessons!) and Loop (yarnnnn!), Green St Cafe, Zahav (best hummus ever), Luna (poutine), The Mutter Museum, Monk's Cafe, etc. I could go on for days.

The DE Water Gap is a nice drive away, but nice when you want to get out of the city. Or Wissahickon Park!
