If you are a contributing member with a BFP this week, please share your success with us here.
How do you know if you're a contributing member?
1. Ask your heart if you have contributed positively here. 2. Do these people know you? Will they be happy about your pregnancy? 3. Have you offered support to others or have you just blasted your own info out there? 4. Really, if you're a 1/1 or a 2/2, maybe just move on. Even if you have participated daily for one month and offered tons of support. Sometimes the silence is kindest. Those of us who lurk BMBs will see your intro and PM/comment/love tit. 5. Again, take a moment and step away from your excitement and ask your heart if posting would be potentially hurtful. -----------------------------------------------------------
This thread has mild restrictions - thread is primarily BFP announcements but doesn't allow for direct questions or lengthy/personalized congrats in the comments. Use the "Love It" button or "congrats!", "H&H 9 months!", "I was hoping this was your month!" and other short & sweet notes.
Regular board rules apply - this is not the place to ask if you are pregnant based off your symptoms or for second opinions on your tests. We do invite you to contribute in the daily TWW and WTO threads and discussions. This community gives back tenfold what you put into it!
When you see somebody who has possibly violated a guideline of this thread, please quote the section of these guidelines and include a callout to the poster, but keep snark to a minimum. If you have a post called out, please edit your offending post to add a note that you've been made aware of the rule and will keep it in mind in the future (if you are being asked to change wording due to unintentionally offensive phrasing, please remove that part of your post with a note of "EDIT: Removed offensive phrasing"). Remember: this thread is not a tribunal. Continued arguments and defenses about a post have no place here and are considered off-topic. If you would like to make an argument for or against a rule, please create or update a META thread to discuss.
CD/DPO of first BFP?
How many months/cycles had you been TTGP?
What did your chart look like?
What were you doing TGKU?
How was your timing?
What symptoms did you have, if any (CS & CD breakdowns welcome)?
What did your chart look like? I gave up temping because it was stressing me out and my temps weren't the most stable because of PCOS. It ended up hurting me more than helping.
What were you doing TGKU? OPKs like a madwoman, checking CM, acupuncture, herbs, B6, we had just seen the RE for the first time on 10/17.
How was your timing? -5, -4, -2 x 2, -1, O
What symptoms did you have, if any (CS & CD breakdowns welcome)? I had a crying temper tantrum Wednesday night when I was cooking and thought my period was coming because I only have a 10 day LP. I had a ton of cheapie wondfos so the next morning, on 10dpo, I POAS. I was pretty sure it was negative because I have the worst line eye ever but when I put it against our white counter, I could see something. I took a pic and sent it to a couple of friends and they saw it too, so I picked up some FRER on my way home from work. This morning both the wondfo and FRER were much darker and there was no mistaking the lines.
How are you going to/did you tell your partner? I thought I was going to hold it in and find some big elaborate way but I just brought him into our bedroom and asked if we had any plans for July because we would have to move them. He was so over the moon.
Anything else to add? This group of women is the very best and having a place to come and be able to get and give support was a gift beyond measure. I'm slightly terrified but am moving on and I will lurk and cheer everyone on until I don't recognize any names!!
@literatureandink Congratulations! I saw this in the waiting room and was super happy for you! I hope you continue to find awesome support and friends in your BMB!
TTGP November 2018 Siggy Challenge - Thanksgiving Dinner Fails
Well, let's just make this a Friday party! Mind if I join you @literatureandink?!? Congrats, my friend!
CD/DPO of first BFP? 25/13 (or 14?)
How many months/cycles had you been TTGP? 12/13
What did your chart look like? I only charted for like 6 days around O to confirm it - so nothing exciting.
What were you doing TGKU? This cycle was a natural IUI cycle, although I still did have two follies.
How was your timing? -5,-4,-3,-2, IUI on -1, IUI on O
What symptoms did you have, if any (CS & CD breakdowns welcome)? Around 8/9 DPO I had a couple of days of pink spotting... including one instance of bright red spotting. I know bright red IB spotting is pretty rare, so I was trying not to get my hopes up about it. My spotting stopped after that. I felt a little funny the past couple of days including a metallic taste in my mouth. My CM was also almost non-existent the past several days which is odd for me and I didn't have any more spotting, which I usually have at least 2-3 days of spotting before AF. AF was due either today or tomorrow and I couldn't sleep thinking about it last night so I decided to go for it this morning.
How are you going to/did you tell your partner? I woke him up and told him and we cried and hugged. I had imagined doing something cute but I was so emotional in the moment and knew I just had to go tell him.
Anything else to add? I am so beyond thankful for the support and advice I have received from all of you. What a journey it has been and I am sad to be leaving so many wonderful warriors behind. I couldn't have made it through all of this without knowing I had all of you by my (internet) side. I am nervous about the days to come but I will be lurking like crazy. I am always a PM away for anyone and happy to connect further! Cheering you all on, always.
