Former quant analyst/consultant, now I manage a gaggle of kids and animals. We have some side businesses but I don’t have an active part in that thankfully.
I’ve been a stay at home parent for 5 years (combination of military lifestyle making it hard to hold a career thanks to moves and the fact that daycare for 3 under 3 costs more than I would make to make it worth it), but I have a degree In anthropology and am currently working part time as an instructor for an art studio. I hope to teach high school history after all our kids hit kindergarten age.

@luckystar28 I imagine being a counselor for children was heartbreaking at times. You must have a huge heart.

I have my masters in counseling psychology and used to work at an inpatient unit for children. I couldn’t hack it/support myself so I took a sales job and never looked back.
I’m an Early Head Start home visitor. I visit families with children age 0-3, and pregnant moms. We focus on strengthening the parent child relationship and showing parents how they can help their children learn at home. We also partner with families to help them realize and achieve their goals. I’m currently working on my infant toddler mental health endorsement.
Im also a CASA, which is a court appointed special advocate. It’s a volunteer position but I consider it work!
I’m an accountant at a corporation...but the only tax return I do is my own 😁 so many people just assume if you are an accountant all you do is taxes, not true!
I am the an advocate at our local Child Advocacy Center. We interview child crime victims with law enforcement and if a case is charged criminally I work with the child/family throughout the court process and testifying.
I just have to say all of you ladies who work with children and advocate for them must have the biggest hearts and be such strong women. Your work is really important. You impress me.
Private English/ESL tutor, but I’m currently a SAHM until kiddos are in school. I look forward to returning to work, but I’m enjoying the time with my kid (kids after this pregnancy!) until then.
I'm a doula and CLC. Currently, I'm training through a new organization to include infertility and postpartum work. I also babysit and stay home with our youngest two.
I am a reliability engineer (heyy @cfoz!) at an industrial equipment company. Basically I break stuff. I also volunteer at an organization that sends volunteers to help new moms for 2-3 hours per week, which I love!

I am a data analyst at a professional membership organization, I basically do secondary data analysis of healthcare claims files. Not too exciting but I have an amazing work environment which is low stress and extremely flexible.
My dad is an accountant for a corporation and also does not do taxes lol. Always gets asked to by family though.
I’ve had my dessert co. for six years now. We do wholesale to coffee shops, catering, and I sell caramel sauces to shops all over WA. We are going to be featured in the holiday issue of Taste of Home this year and I’m pumped!
my second business I just started weeks ago. I design kids shirts and will be launching adult shirts in a few weeks.
The company who prints my caramel sauce labels also prints my shirts, It’s fun doing two totally different things. 😜
I am a mental health therapist! I typically work with those struggling with severe mental illness or have both a substance use disorder as well as mental health diagnosis.
I’m an elementary Special Education teacher, currently a Resource Room teacher for academic support. Previously I’ve worked in Behavior Intervention classrooms (4 years of that)
I started my teaching career as a high school Biology teacher for the first 5 years. Made the switch to SpEd after it was hard to find employment due to moving so often when my husband was active duty in the Marine Corps. Getting my MS in SpEd opened a lot of doors for me and I never looked back to the general education setting.
@whitney812 how cool! I think you are amazing for having two businesses! I’m going to have to look for that issue of Taste of Home. I love that magazine. Congratulations!!!
I work from home as a billing specialist for a home care company my mom owns. I love being able to help the family business grow (it’s a pretty new one) and I love the flexibility.
I wear a lot of hats. I've been a freelance model for 4 years, but didnt do much while pregnant the first time. I've been doing it again regularly since July to hold us over until I got a better job/couldnt do it due to pregnancy. So now that we have a LO on board, I'm picking up a newspaper route to fill the weekend gap, as well as currently taking a transcription test to start doing that from home. I also have an account on Rover, but haven't gotten any hits there yet. And I'm home with DS whenever I'm not working out of the house, which is most of the time. DH is with him when I have to work without DS tagging along, but DH works 9-5 plus wonky overtime, so scheduling can be chaotic.

I work in impact investing internationally. We help countries set up institutions that make impact investing possible and actually impactful. My favorite part is seeing the recipients of the funds - the common denominator is positive social, environmental or community impact. I feel very good about what I do but I travel a lot long-haul and will have to re-examine that setup to spend more time with the kid(s).
