This is a pretty accurate description of what I’m doing right now....what’s going on this weekend ladies???

  • I have to go get some maintenance on my car, which I have been putting off because I just didn't want to take the time to do it.  It's still covered under warranty, so I shouldn't even owe anything.  I just have to drive 30 min to get to the dealership and am lazy haha.
  • I woke up at 5:30 like I do every day of my life while my husband sleeps in. I got the kids dressed and fed and every time I turned and looked at something it was an absolute mess.

For one, my husband brushed the kid's teeth yesterday and there was toothpaste all over the toothbrushes and the counter this morning. I feel like he does a horrible job helping me on purpose so I will just say, nevermind, I'll do it myself.

Then I walked into the kitchen and the sink is littered with dry cheese and the highchair is full of food from dinner. Ugh, I asked him to feed the kids last night before we left to go out and he couldn't be bothered to actually clean up after the meal.

Then the icing on the cake was the smell that I walked into when I went around the corner to the utility room. The litterbox has not been cleaned and it stinks so bad that it nearly made me vomit all over the floor. I would gladly clean the stupid litterbox but I can't because I'm pregnant. He said he would take care of that for me.

TLDR....my husband is lazy and has left me to clean up after him like he is a 5 year old child.

Needless to say, I need a break and I seriously doubt I will get one because heaven forbid I ask him to do something that will interfere with his plans today.
  • DH got called into work at like 2 am so ds and I are chilling in bed watching a movie. We will most likely be lazy most of the day then go to a friend's house for a birthday party tonight. I really should clean my house and adult today but seems unlikely.
  • Today is DS1's last day of Tball for the season. Is it fair if I make him skip it because I don't want to go out in this cold, muddy, overcast morning???
  • @JuneBabyH yes, fair. 100%

I just dropped off DH and DS at the airport, they're going to visit friends for 4 days. Now I'm heading home to pack for a week long work trip half way around the world and then I have to get on a flight around 5pm. I don't recommend doing first tri this way! Can't wait to be back next weekend.

  • @emeraldcity603 slap him. Sorry you have to clean up after him too.

@junebabyh yes. Csnt risk getting sick.

Feeling nauseous again today but thinking it may be from not taking my prenatals. I've taken them now, hope the damage hasnt been done. DS and DH are eating smartfood and it smells aweful. I'm also not really looking forward to the open house because other peoples houses smell funny. But we have to go.
  • Nothing too much going on here! Dragging hubby to Target at some point today to buy some stretchy pants (the bloat is real) possibly going to eat somewhere later or just ordering pizza and watching movies together. Today is sweetest day ♥️♥️♥️ have a great day everyone!
  • @emeraldcity603 yes yes yes yes. Story of my damn life. It’s so frustrating. Last night DH was like “hmm..maybe I’ll go for a run in the morning”. I was already in a shitty mood so I snapped “so I guess I’ll watch DD?”. He was a bit speechless and I had to explain that if it were me who said I was going to a run I would have had to ask him to watch her, and it would have been a huge deal.
  • I’ve learned to lower my expectations way low when it comes to DH. Especially once we had DS. It’s sad, but it’s actually helped our marriage tremendously.
  • @srscott3, he had the nerve to get mad at him for being upset about all those things. I was like, oh, I totally forgot I'm not allowed to verbalize any negative feeling about what you do/don't do around the house. He is a freaking doctor, why can't he understand why it is important to use a small amount of toothpaste when brushing the kid's teeth. I'm going to have to hide the fluoride toothpaste and replace it with nonflouride kind.

@luckystar28, I rarely ask for his help because I feel like he does a horrendous job on purpose just so I won't ask again. I feel like all I do is solo parent and I still have to clean up the mess when he "helps" me. Needless to say, I didn't think I could set the bat any lower for him but at this point I guess I have to.
  • @emeraldcity603 my husband is a doctor too! Maybe this is a personality trait 😂
  • @emeraldcity603 that’s so frustrating! I’m sure you could really need the help, especially now.

I’m out going to thrift stores with DH who buys and resells vintage clothes as his hobby. It’s not my favorite thing to do, but it’s good quality time, and I’ve already found a $5 pair of nice, new maternity jeans. So, it’s been good so far.
  • Having the best lazy day. DH awoke up with DD and I slept in and then watched some TV before joining the family. Then DH asked if he could go to a bar with our neighbor to watch a game at DDs naptime. Yes! So I had a root beer float and I’m catching up on How To Get Away With Murder. I am getting a headache so hopefully the Tylenol will take the edge off - that’s all I feel like Tylenol can ever do.
  • @marijaa333, when we talked this morning I tried to bring it up in a nonthreatening way and he got so mad. He also basically told me he wouldn't be brushing the kid's teeth anymore. 🙄

@srscott3, it blows my mind some of the things he does with the kids.
  • Well I woke up, found out I’m pregnant and now I’m just sitting here shocked lol.

I have pulled pork going in the crockpot and I am sitting on my couch putting off going to the gym. My SO is at the grocery store and I’m paranoid about leaving the house while the crockpot is going. I know it’s totally safe, I just don’t like doing it lol.
  • @emeraldcity603 you have much more patience than I do. Just reading your description of your morning made me ragey.

I’m irritated because I have a headache (chronic migraines), can’t take my good meds, and the man is insisting on moving furniture today. so far the worst thing about being pregnant is men’s complete inability to empathize that I feel like shit. No, I can’t just power through it. Ughhhh

  • @TJtheGoat, I literally just sat and cried for about 10 minutes. My poor kids were so upset because I was upset. I just couldn't hold it together.
  • I stumbled across this on instagram and I just think its so odd. I would NEVER steal the thunder from my BFF on her wedding day by announcing I was pregnant!
  • @carleym93 wow, that is truly poor form. my friend announced she was engaged at my wedding and I haven’t forgotten how weird I felt about it
  • @luckystar28 Ewww. Why can't people see how AWish that is?
  • It is snowing. I am just not ready.
  • @Dcwtada, nope.

  • Uh oh. The last time I was pregnant I told my friend on her wedding day. I took her aside and told her privately. She seemed to be really happy I told her. I only told her there because I didn’t know when I would see her again. We don’t see each other very much. I hope she didn’t feel weird about it.

I'm moving all weekend, mostly by myself. My FI and I are getting married in 3 months, and this pregnancy definitely sealed the deal to move in to his house. And fast-- while I can still be useful. The lame part is, he just opened a new hotel and works insane hours...it's 3:30 pm and I'm still waiting for him to get off and rent the U-Haul. Ugh. It's going to be after dark before we get this finished and I've been at it two full days by myself already. Not to mention I have to spend all day tomorrow cleaning. Wish me luck ladies! I also work full time and have a three year old, and since he's always working I'll be unpacking and organizing every night by myself for probably a month! So much stuff to go through...and after that we've got to fix up a looong list of things around the house to prepare for baby. I'm not ungrateful, just feeling a little lonely and overwhelmed. I turn 30 on Thursday...eek. I have to go out of town M-Th for work too and I just want to lay around on the couch instead of doing any of it. Glad I have a place to vent and listen to other Mamas hormonal frustrations...haha. Hang in there!!! :)
  • @Asavka I got exhausted just reading that! I hope he gets out to help you soon!

  • @Asavka wow! You have a lot going on. A move, a baby, and a wedding! I hope it goes well today and your FI gets there soon to help you.
  • @emeraldcity603 I’m sorry your DH had such a bad reaction when you talked to him. I’m frustrated for you!

@TJtheGoat I’m sorry you can’t take the good meds during pregnancy. Migraines are so painful. I hope yours is over soon.
  • @emeraldcity603 Yikes. I'm sorry to hear that. Do you think there is any way you can get through to him? Letter? Via a friend? Long talk? Can I give him a piece of my mind? I really hope you get more help from him over time, especially given that a new baby is coming. Big hugs to you.
  • @emeraldcity603 that would have been so frustrating. sorry you had to deal with that.

i have to micromanage my DH so that he doesn’t thing the right way. Like when dinner is over I’ll take DS upstairs to get cleaned up and I have to ask him to clean the dishes, load the dishwasher, and clean the floor. If I don’t list one he won’t do it 50% of the time. But he’s gotten better about doing things without prompting since I’ve had m/s.

@meatballs37 here you go 😁 hope this calms you
  • @emeraldcity603 oh I’m so sorry that you’re feeling overwhelmed and YH isn’t helping. I’m sending you hugs.
  • DD1 and DS2 share a room and they are currently partying it up with the light on. As soon as I get DD2 down I get to go break that up. Lol, I guess I didn't tire them out enough today.
  • @meatballs37 aww I’m sorry. Hopefully your family gets better soon! Glad your betas are looking good though 😁
