@hkom Ooohh, I just love his little face! You've been such a rock throughout all of this (what, 2 months?!). Breakdowns are bound to happen and are so justified/understandable. You're doing awesome.
@hkom Oh he is so adorable! He looks so good! And hang in there, you are doing an AMAZING job through something incredibly difficult and exhausting. You're awesome!
@hkom so happy for this update! He looks like he's doing so well. Yay for getting up above his birth weight! I'm glad you're doing ok, and as others have said, breakdowns are bound to happen and totally justified. You're incredible!
@hkom look at how precious he is! He's like a little man!! Hang in there girl, you and John are going to come out of the other side of this so strong and ready for anything.
Oh my gooodnesss!! He is such a cutie!!! I still have such a hard time believing my oldest was ever that small.. oooof! Thanks for the pics, @hkom . Hang in there! Breakdowns are expected, can't hold it all in forever!
Oh my gosh, @hkom he is precious!! He's got an adorable little face. I love the smirk in the second pic. I'm glad you're both doing well. Any more updates?

John is doing well still! He'll be 31 weeks tomorrow. He's starting to gain weight fairly steadily and is up to 3 lbs 9+ oz today. They want to try him off the CPAP again tomorrow. It'll be nice to see his face unsquished again and I'm sure he'll enjoy having it off too.
John is doing great so far without his CPAP! He seems so much more comfortable, and mom gets to see his face He's also made big improvements in the last few days on sucking on his pacifier. Hopefully he gets off the CPAP for good and they can move his feeding tube to his nose, so he can start using his mouth a little better.
He's been much more awake lately as well. Which is awesome, but it makes it so much harder to do other things while I sit here all day because I want to interact with him as much as possible, and it's a lot more emotional leaving at the end of the day.
Amazing update @hkom ! I am so happy to hear John is doing so well! ❤️ I'm sorry it's been tough leaving for the day now that he's more awake, that makes total sense. Hugs. Btw I thought of you and John today when a friend of mine posted a memory of her son in the NICU 5 years ago, and he's such a strong, healthy, adventurous little guy, I had completely forgotten he spent the first 8 weeks of his life in the NICU!
Go John go!!! Glad tl hear he's doing so great. As well as he's doing, I'm sure it's still so difficult for you, so remember to keep taking care of yourself!
Yay!!! Way to go John! This was exactly the update i needed to make my night Sorry it's been rougher for you to leave, but that probably makes it so much sweeter to come back the next day! Enjoy all the baby snuggles.
@mamajudec2018 Sibce we aren’t supposed to write anything in the birth announcements I’ll put it here. I’m so happy to hear you and your little one are doing well! We were getting worried when we didn’t hear from you for a while. Many hugs to you, I can’t imagine how hard it must be to leave your little one when you have to go home. I hope you are able to bring him home with you soon nice and big and healthy!
@mamajudec2018 I'm sorry you had to go through the scary ordeal that is preterm birth, but I'm so glad to hear that Booker is doing well! I know exactly how you are feeling. The first two or so weeks of John's life I cried pretty much all day every day, including ugly-sobbing the whole way home from the home from the hospital. It will never be easy, but once the hormone crash has settled, it won't be quite so heart-wrenching. Please feel free to reach out if you need someone to listen. Biggest hugs to you.
@mamajudec2018 I'm so sorry for everything you've been through and praying that Booker progresses leaps and bounds! How are you recovering from your C-section?
@mamajudec2018 thinking of you and glad Booker arrived safely. So much scariness for you. It must be so hard leaving him. Sending lots of good healing wishes to you and to Booker to grow strong and get ready to come home with you.
Yeeeeesssss @mamajudec2018 I’m so happy that you and Booker are both doing well. I can only imagine that emotional rollercoaster. Thank you for catching us up, and congrats on your early graduation

@mamajudec2018 Oh my gosh congratulations! So glad to hear you're okay and that Booker has arrived! I'm so sorry you had such a tough experience and I hope things get easier for you emotionally as Booker continues to grow and thrive. ❤️
@mamajudec2018 omg I'm so happy to hear from you!!!! We were all getting really worried when we hadn't seen a check in from you. So sorry you had to go through all of that, but glad that it sounds like both Booker and you are doing well! I can't even imagine what you're feeling right now, but just take it one day at a time right now.
I have to ask...how has your blood sugar been since he was born? Has his been okay? Did the numbness finally go away? Lots of questions I know, no answer needed until you're ready to share more, or at all if you don't want to answer! I'm just glad to hear you're both doing well
Congratulations @mamajudec2018! Glad to hear that you and Book are doing well. Give yourself some time to process it all, having a baby is such an emotional roller coaster, I can only imagine how hard it must be with the addition of the NICU. We're here for you!
@mamajude2018 Congratulations on Booker's birth! I'm sorry it didn't go as you had hoped and am thinking of you as you make your way through the first tough weeks/months with him in the NICU.
@mamajudec2018 Congratulations on Booker's birth! It's probably not the way you wanted it, but I am sure both of you are getting the best care possible. I am sure the time you had to spend at the hospital has helped prep him for outside life and hopefully he is dealing well with it! Good luck and keep us posted with how both of you are doing.
@mamajudec2018 Oh, we're so happy to hear from you! Congratulations on Booker's arrival and may your wishes of him coming home sooner than planned come true for you.
Big hugs and congrats @mamajudec2018! I was so happy to read your name in the birth announcements today. Sending all the good vibes, prayers, whatever, for recovery for both of you, and that you get to take your little man home ASAP!
