Sometimes, I look at older kids and I get really excited for my kids to grow up. The age they're at is good too, but it's so so hard some of the time. I'm excited to have another baby in the family, but I really don't miss my girls' babyhood and I imagine I won't really miss their toddlerhood or early childhood either.
Older kids and their problems suck. Enjoy your kids little. I want to slap the piss out of my 11 year old with her eye rolling.

@sleepy33 Those videos freaked me out so much in early pregnancy last time but don't bother me anymore. I still thought it was so cool but just kind of scared before going through it lol. And I mean, I do it too, but as long as people know they're lovingly rubbing their intestines, not their baby, it's all cool. DH tried to rub "baby" before I was showing last time (sometime during the first trimester) and went near my belly button. I was like "ummm, the baby's down here right now" (pointing lower). I always associated bump with "baby bump" and thinking it was the actual baby but maybe that's not what people mean when they say bump. I just think "blump" is the perfect term for the first trimester.

Last night, husband was trying to get some nooky but I wasn't having any of that so he started rubbing my belly. My daughter legit got so jealous! She walked up to him with her arms crossed against her chest and started bitching at him in gibberish. She then slapped his hand away and started rubbing my belly herself! It was the most cutest thing ever!!!
I agree that baby/uterus is tiny before 12 weeks, but the blump is real. And the neighborhood uterus watch (copyright), aka coworkers, friends and family, doesn't discriminate. All they see is my pants not fitting and they'll brand me with the big scarlet B. I also laugh at how pregnant I thought I looked with my first. But the paranoia is real with trying to keep this one under wraps.
Had to get blood drawn for my Progenity test today and it took like 15 min so I easily could have gone back home or to the office and worked for another 1.5 hrs. Instead I’m sitting at California Pizza Kitchen going to town on their BBQ Chicken salad. Also getting a piece of Pumpkin Cheesecake. Before I head to the Denver Broncos Crush Night and eat even more.

@eatinwatermelonseeds I’ve never been, but I’m super excited for it. Sad I can’t drink all the drinks, but I’ll definitely drool over the hot football players.

@zuuls_mom 😂😂 I would too! My husband went to Denver for some concrete conference thing (it was supposedly a prize for winning a contest, sounds boring as hell to me 😂) and they got to tour the stadium and meet the cheerleaders. I thought that was pretty cool. He brought home some cups and autographs. We lived there years ago but never got to go to any games or anything unfortunately. Now we're in Seahawks country 🙄🙄🙄🙄
I know it’s 4:00 pm and on Friday we can leave school as soon as kids are out of the hallways (3:25ish) and I haven’t left because I don’t want to stand up and walk outside. Zero drive to move, let alone go home, make dinner, give DS a bath, and relax. I don’t even want to relax?! because I don’t want to move. Not one single step. Ugh.
@eatinwatermelonseeds that sounds fun! Sorry you’re in Seahawks territory. No thanks lol. I’ve always wanted to visit Seattle though. Hopefully one day!

@brie_and_almonds I always think @mrsdee15's avatar is a big eye of an alien until I realize it's an u/s again.
@sleepy33 thank you for posting that site! I was going to come in here and talk about bodily organs being displaced by the uterus causing a bump. While the bump isn't baby, it's still actual bump, and not just bloat.
I'm going to be a jerk and say I've lost a ton of my bloating thanks to this nausea and not being able to hardly eat anything - and I can tell I'm not bloated because my wedding rings are quite loose again - but I've still got this big 'ol belly I didn't have a few months ago. I worked really hard to get my 6 pack back this spring after I quit nursing and it rapidly disappeared. Why? 1) second baby = show faster, 2) because my uterus is growing and displacing my digestive organs. Not bloat.
And my confession is that I've been a bad member of the community and I feel like I'm missing out here. But my nausea has been so debilitating that I haven't wanted to look at anything on my phone because staring at the tiny screen makes the nausea worse. So I've only been coming on when I'm on my computer, which is not very often. Please don't kick me out.
@zuuls_mom definitely worth a visit! I visit Seattle occasionally. I'm not into big cities, but you just can't live in Washington and never see Seattle 😂 and aside from traffic, there are some pretty cool sites to see there.
@imrachellea I take back all of my concerns about hibachi. It was a great experience! DD was totally into the cooking, but was nervous enough about the heat/volume/stranger that she didn't get close to touching it. At one point she picked up chopsticks and mimicked the chopping and yelling that the cook was doing! It was also a bit loud/casual, so her normal toddler wiggles and squeals weren't an issue.
@poshspice I was actually wondering last night where you went! I hadn’t seen your SN for a while and last night I actually muttered under my breath about it. Randomly, DH magically decided to turn his listening ears on and proceeded to talk to me about the random 90s music reference, to which we became super sidetracked and found all our old mixed tapes from back in the day in the garage. DS, DH, and I had a dance party this evening to all those amazing boy/girl bands of yesteryear. So, thanks for the evening of bonding with the fam...posh spice is my favorite spice girl too, BTW.
