What is being addressed? We will be checking for further dilation and my bp since it had been running so high.
Questions/Comments /Concerns : I am interested to see what she will say since my hospital stay. She didn’t seem concerned about my high bp but all the residents at the hospital did. They wanted to induce me but she wanted to wait until I was 36 weeks, now that I am I am wondering if they are going to let me go until he decides or if they’ll do something.
Appts Tuesday and Thursday, I will be 35+2 and 35+4.
I should get my scheduled date for delivery on Tuesday. If I make it through this week, I will be the most pregnant I've ever been. Which is both exciting and scary, lol. I will be getting my NSTs and growth scan with BPP. I should be getting my GBS test this week.
@ashkee05 Good luck today. Hope your BP is better and baby can come on his own time.
@highsteaks I'm praying everything gets scheduled easily and delivery is smooth and both girls are strong and healthy.
small nonupdate update- i called obgyn this morning. secretary of the last obgyn i saw (group practice) told me obgyn wasn’t available until wednesday. secretary said she didn’t see mfm notes in their system yet, and told me to wait until tomorrow afternoon during my regular appointment to talk with different obgyn about scheduling induction. i wasn’t comfortable with the secretary making that decision since she’s not a doctor and didn’t have my latest notes. ended up calling mfm to see if planning to wait longer was ok with the mfm doc i saw friday. it is, but doc wasn’t happy with that secretary and told me to bring it up to the ob i see tomorrow about her “behavior.” nst appointment tomorrow at 1edt, then obgyn afterwards (33w5d).
So many critical appointments this week!! I’m waiting to see the outcome for all of us! I do not feel good this morning. And of course the toddler is on 150%. I slept terrible last night, and everything hurts. Interested to see how this appointment goes!
I will be thinking about you guys and the babies!!
@highsteaks that sucks about the secretary, I would definitely make sure to bring it up!
When is your appointment? Wednesday and Friday How far along will you be? 33 + 2, and +4 What is being addressed? My spine/hips- chiro suggested on Friday that I come in twice a week for a bit to kind of help with my hips- I have some structural issues apparently so I'm kind of making up for lost time. Questions/Comments /Concerns : Not really, my main objective for going to a chiro was to help with back/hip pain while also making sure I had someone highly qualified who could help me in case the baby decides to flip or go breach.
Questions/Comments /Concerns : baby was very active today which helped us get through the test quickly. Still on track for induction 10/25 due to size and excess fluid. It feels really good to have a firm end date.
Holy shiitake mushrooms! I'm being induced. I go in Sunday night to start cytotec and Monday they start pitocin. I'm kind of freaking out. This whole pregnancy it's been another c section. Now, just yesterday, it's induction. My Dr says because diagnostically I'm doing fine. Physically, I'm a mess. I have no precedence for a vaginal birth. It's never been in my real of possibilities. I'm really nervous about it. Like super nervous. I may cry or laugh or both. I may be having a panic attack.
When is your appointment? I'm pretty sure it's this Friday I just forgot to add it to my calendar lol.
How far along will you be?
34w2d
What is being addressed?
Normal 2 week appt.
Questions/Comments /Concerns :
It's really getting hard to walk. Like when I stand up the whole bottom of my belly gets really hard and it kind of takesawhile to get moving. I keep hearing that my first kid ruined my body and everything is worse this time around so I really have no idea what's normal and what isn't at this point.
When is your appointment? I had one today and I have one on Friday.
How far along will you be?
33w4d (today) and 34w (Friday)
What is being addressed?
NST today with my OB and then full scans and MFM on Friday.
Questions/Comments /Concerns :
At my last MFM appointment, the doc was a little concerned about the twins' growth slowing down, so he ordered twice weekly Fetal NSTs. So far I've had to get scans after each NST, the scans showed good movement of the babes, normal activities (breathing, stretching, etc), and good amniotic fluid. Last time one of the monitors lost track of the baby and we couldn't get it back in a reliable spot - this time they just didn't see enough variation. Although, there wasn't much movement so I think the babes were just sleeping. I'm anxious to hear their estimated weights on Friday...I'm hoping they're catching back up, but also preparing myself that they might arrive sooner than later.
My OB made a comment today that he can't believe how calm I am at every appointment. I told him I didn't see any sense in getting worked up, I've done my research and know what the risks are and we're doing the right things to keep an eye on the babes. Between my OB and my MFM, I'm confident that we're getting the care we need. So, nothing to worry about, just more to prepare for. I guess that's not normal?
@wildrainbow you got this girl!!! I know it’s hard to have such a huge change but you’ll rock it! I’ll be thinking about you and hoping all goes well! Remember to breathe!!
I had my weekly appointment today at 35+6. Office seemed super stressed and I saw a midwife instead of my doctor - come to find out my doctor broke her leg! She’s out at least 6 weeks so there’s no way she will deliver our baby. Luckily, there are three other doctors in the practice who are just as good and who I trust, but it is a little crazy to think that I’ve been seeing this doctor all along and she won’t be there.
Midwife estimated baby at 4 to 4.5 pounds and a heartbeat of 150!
so now i’m a bit peeved. mfm doc last friday stressed that i shouldn’t wait much longer for my induction. i had my obgyn appointment this afternoon, and the ob treated me like i was over exaggerating when i told her that mfm wanted me to schedule asap. she flat out said to me that if mfm was really concerned, they would have called the oncall obgyn friday afternoon and sent me up to labor and delivery. i brought up the secretary thing too and she didn’t even process a problem with that. i had spent the last several days mentally preparing for this induction to happen monday or tonight; we packed everything in the car expecting to go to l&d tonight. i skipped lunch in case i needed to establish a fasting window for a csection. but this ob saw no rush, and scheduled it for 34w per the expectation from like a month ago.
at the nst, the nurse said that baby b’s heart rate was a bit high and had me bring the read out to the ob so she could see.
induction is officially scheduled for this thursday morning, 34w exactly.
@wildrainbow - ahhh exciting and nerve wracking I'm sure! Did you want to VBAC? Surely if you really wanted to have a repeat c-section you could? Either way, baby boy will be here soon! @highsteaks - exciting!! Two more days! I'm sorry that OB didn't seem to take you or your MFM doc seriously. That's frustrating.

What is being addressed? BPP, weekly appointment, flu shot, GBS swab
Questions/Comments /Concerns: Baby passed his/her BPP with flying colors and my fluid level is back to normal (it was just barely high last week). The PA went ahead and checked me since she was doing my GBS swab anyway. Finger tip dilated and 80% effaced. I MIGHT consider a VBAC if I happen to go into labor on my own before my scheduled c-section and baby isn't measuring big.

@mockingjay1 I entertained it before I got ICP, but once I was officially dx'd, it was always assumed c section by both doc and I considering how bad it was with ds. Now it's a whole new world and suddenly, a VBAC is an option. I was in suchshock, I didn't even ask why. I will call tomorrow to get the answer to that question.
What is being addressed? A growth check sonogram and OB after, also had the group B testing done.
Questions/Comments /Concerns : Everything looked great with baby! Measuring right above 7lbs, so expecting another large baby. We didn’t check for dilation because my cervix is tilted and it hurts like crazy. Doctor said she would be shocked if anything happened soon. Although I am ready to meet this little one, my goal is at least 39 weeks so baby can be nice and big.
Questions/Comments /Concerns : Baby boy is measuring 7 lbs, 2 oz already. Thank God I'm having a scheduled c-section. I have to go back in on Friday to have fluids checked. Apparently I have high amniotic fluid.
@wildrainbow you got this momma!!! Will be thinking of you this weekend
@highsteaks how frustrating but hooray for a set date! Also thinking of you

What is being addressed? Came in early to ask questions about my sciatic nerve pain and my 34 w appointment.
Questions/Comments /Concerns : Dr is having me start physical therapy once a week to help with the nerve pain. She said the humidity / fluid retention and pelvis opening up are what's making it so bad. Basically keep walking to keep fluid moving, do stretches, ice and heat and just deal until delivery. Going to be a long 6 weeks. Doing my best to keep the end game in mind and not pity myself. I have a really hard time taking it easy but the time has come to ask DH to help with more things.
@ftm_jen Fingers crossed the PT works! It really worked for me so I am hoping for the same outcome for you! Not too much longer, the end is in sight!

@highsteaks I'm thinking about you today! This is a HUGE wake up call for me since we're both having twins and are only a day apart in our progress. I can't wait to see photos of your babes, but I'm also starting to freak out that my doc is going to try to admit me on Friday. So much yet to do!!!
@highsteaks Best wishes for today! I will be thinking of you and hope all goes smoothly!
When is your appointment? It was this morning How far along will you be? 36w6d What is being addressed? Standard weekly appt. Questions/Comments /Concerns : Baby freaked out the Dr a bit this morning and it was so funny! The Dr went to take the fundal height, and I felt the baby move a little and thought he just got kicked but he sort of jumped back and said "Whoa!" He went on about how if men had to bare children then our race would have been extinct years ago and that he knows that baby movements are bonding for mom and baby and he's seen plenty as an OB, but it's still sort of weird for him. I leaned up and looked at my belly and baby was sticking all the way out! My stomach was almost cone shaped to the side where the baby was. I have not seen baby stick out that much yet, and it was sort of freaky! We both watched as the baby moved back and my stomach went back to round and smooth and he was able to take the measurement but it was pretty funny!

@smulrich16 i really hope your babies’ growth hasn’t gone down since your last check. i’m sure everything’s gonna be fine. i’ll be thinking of you tomorrow. please update when you can.
@tessiesmom26 very funny! as this is my last pregnancy, i’ve been trying to savor all the movements the last few days. they really are special.
@tessiesmom26 We’ve all probably experienced the “man cold” before and how dramatic it is. I can’t imagine what it would be like if they were pregnant. They’d all be on bed rest the moment they see that positive pregnancy test, and we’d probably have to wheel them around everywhere in wheel chairs.
37 week appt today! 3 cm and 50% effaced - contractions this week are doing stuff!
My only concern was my BP(it’s been 130/80 the last two weeks, it’s normally 110/60...). OB said with no other symptoms, she isn’t super concerned about inducing early, but then she asked how late I want to go before discussing induction, and I said my induction with DD2 only took 90 mins and was wonderful and I’m actually more concerned about going into labor at work with how fast that labor was, and I am good with anytime after 39 I weeks because of that, so...induction tentatively scheduled for 10/25, eeeeek/yay!!
It's been an emotional roller coaster of a week. I will start with baby is still measuring a week ahead, he weighs about 6lb4oz, and has a head in the 97th percentile. On another note, the VBAC I thought I was scheduled for was actually a mix up. So now, I'm getting a c section. I go in Monday morning. With how much weight baby gains, he will probably be close to 7lbs at birth. Today also, marks the most pregnant I've ever been. I'm just glad it's almost over and baby will be here in a matter of days.
@wildrainbow oh no. i am sorry to hear they got your hopes up like that. so so sorry. that sucks. happy to hear that you’ve surpassed the amount of time you were pregnant with ds1. that must feel really good.
Had mfm today and the measure baby girl again. Head almost to 90th percentile and weighing 5lbs 11oz @ 34+4. I wonder if they will do another growth scan at my last appointment on 11/1. Baby girl continues her uncooperative streak. Mfm said they may even have her do an echocardiogram after birth because she has yet to give a completely clear picture. However, they have no reason for concern...so I'm not worried.
@wildrainbow damn them for messing with you!! Glad everything is all figured out though! Im jealous that you guys got it all figured out and my guy is just over here still cooking! Which I know is good but I’m also the most pregnant I’ve ever been and sooo over it after having two pre term labors! I just want my baby! Lol
