Re: October Arts and Crafts
2. I need to do an inventory of the handknits that I've got for this baby, but I would like to knit them a sweater. Or maybe I'll crochet one. I once found a blog in which a mom was knitting a sweater a week or something crazy so her kid would always have a handknit. I would love to do something like that.
3. I remember the beautiful knit blanket gifted to Will and Kate when George was born. I would love to be that talented - though I don't think that one was actually handknit. I am pretty decent at making baby sweaters though, so I'd probably do that with a really high quality yarn.

I don't really have anything I really want to make for the baby right now, but for my son I painted letters for his wall. I will likely do that again.
Oh gosh, I can't take that kind of pressure 😂
1. What are you working on this month? When I first read this I mistook it for October-themed crafts. We just moved into a house that has been vacant for at least a year, so the giant front lawn is all super dead, aside from one giant Torrey Pine. We will be capitalizing on that for Halloween, and I'm going to make a graveyard to go near the tree. Unfortunately that isn't really baby-related.
2. What are your goals for crafty things that you want to complete before baby is born? We desperately need to repaint the interior of the house, and then I got the go-ahead from DH for a Harry Potter nursery! I'd like to craft/put together the design/decor myself. I'm also going to paint DD's bedroom, she kind of has a vintage Disney thing going right now so I want to make her some decor as well. I'd love to learn to sew to hand-make them some things.
3. GTKY: Harry and Megan are having their first baby and you have been commissioned to make something for them! What do you make? Eeeep, my skills are not good yet. I painted some cute kid-friendly paintings of animals in the past for my mom's therapy offices - maybe something like that?
then 3 failed IUIs, and finally a successful IVF FET.
Due with #2 5/2/19 after HIO once in my FW,
because apparently that's how life works now. Team Blue!

2. Lots of hot air balloon things! Stuff to put on the walls, a crochet birth announcement, hot air balloons to hang from the ceiling, and a mobile.
3. Ugh, I can barely schedule enough time to make my stuff! But I could probably whip up a pair of lace booties.
Finishing up my kit for the Charlotte’s Dream Blanket. Just 1.5 rows to go to finish up the border. Photo below from when I finally sewed all of the squares together.
2. What are your goals for crafty things that you want to complete before baby is born?
At least crochet a baby blanket and stuffed animal for baby and something for my daughter.
3. GTKY: Harry and Megan are having their first baby and you have been commissioned to make something for them! What do you make?
No clue! I don’t create my own patterns yet, so I’d probably find something from allaboutami.com. I love her patterns and many are simple but elegant.

3. Baby hats are my jam. I would make Harry and Meghan the cutest little baby hat I guess lol.
2. What are your goals for crafty things that you want to complete before baby is born? Uh does decorating my house in general and having my husband finish making some furniture count? We make everything so it takes forever! For baby specifically we will probably just do a new name sign for the nursery.
3. GTKY: Harry and Megan are having their first baby and you have been commissioned to make something for them! What do you make? Royal baby onesies!
I’ll make a wall name decoration for the baby to follow our tradition.
No idea what I would make for a royal baby.
As for me, I finished the body of that green sweater I was working on, and I'm doing the sleeves TAAT now, just starting the decreases, so the end is in sight!
I am strictly not planning/buying any yarn for baby stuff until I know the sex, but I have saved a tonnnn of patterns on Rav.
2. Well last year I wanted to try knitting some slippers for Christmas. It would be nice to do it this year, but that's not very realistic because they look hard to make and I am a slacker. I would probably like to at least finish the scarf by next May. Maybe try sewing before then too or crochet? I want to learn the craft skills but it's hard!
3. I don't know how to make baby things.
Eta train costume sounds awesome!
I just started working on this for my son, but its so hard to stay awake past 8
@eatinwatermelonseeds haha sadness was the first thing I thought of too! we just saw her when we were in Disney and my daughter was petrified, but shes so cute!
eta: obviously that's a stock photo I'm on like row 10
