apparently most of my office has experienced some sort of flu the last couple days and here I was thinking when I threw up this morning it was my body not agreeing with the bacon I ate last night for supper...now I don't know whether to try and stick it out at work or get away from this germ infected environment. It's a terrible week for me to be sick - month-end at work & brother's wedding this weekend
@HoneyBear40 oh no! Take care of yourself! Seems everyone in my office is sniffling and coughing too. I'm getting over post-cold ear and sinus congestion myself. Downing fluids and washing my hands like crazy.
HoneyBear40 everyone's been sick around here, too! at work, everywhere. we're just getting over some viral things too. it was miserable.
had some mild spotting/bleeding yesterday. kinda freaks me out. I was supposed to start having cervix ultrasounds at week 16, but I guess I get to start them now (tomorrow). hopefully it goes ok. nothing like having your toddler having around while those TV US are done high risk pregnancies are no fun, its always something!
Ug, @litzi-2 that sounds scary. Hope your toddler behaves for you and everything is alright. FWIW I had an US done with my DD2 in the room and she was very concerned “mom you’re ok why are you on that table you’re ok” and basically stood next to me holding on to me the whole time. Did you get your new door yet?? Our person (subcontractor) from Lowe’s came back and said 1) our doors are larger than the rough opening 2) they can’t even custom order doors to fit. We have not moved forward with them because somewhere, someone is an incompetent jackalope and we need to figure out a new plan.

I read about this on my local news this morning. I kind of feel bad for the guy, but as gun owner you should know not to shoot when it’s windy. 40 mph winds is too muchwind to go safely shooting.
We have two sleeping beauties in heaven. Jack gained his wings on 09/02/2016. Kali gained her wings on 07/28/2015. They will be forever missed.
@mamakate1616 No door. Apparently the door measuring guy was an idiot and faked taking measurements and put down that we were going to have a handyman do the door. So we paid $35 and got nothing but a stinky smokey man in our house walking around "taking measurements." Hope depot said he just cancelled the order. it was really weird. I tried with another company, but it was ridiculously expensive. Now I'm working with another company but haven't even set up the measure, just got so irritated. So I feel your pain. I don't know how these things can be so difficult. I mean, that's their job, its what they do...
@meggyme the explosive used is legal and actually pretty fun to use if you use it in the correct conditions. With that amount of wind shooting in general is dangerous, it can alter where your bullet ends up. It’s not worth it to my husband and I to target shoot in those conditions. We also don’t use tanerite(the explosive used in the article) when it’s been dry out. That’s just common sense.

Yea.
By "don't do this," I meant "don't spot (eta: shoot, not spot) explosives when it's dry and windy and prone to fires."
That stinks @valentynsi, hopefully it will get better soon. I say that but am afraid I will be saying the same thing a couple months from now. The promotion I’ve been waiting for (they first started talking about creating this postion more than a year ago!) finally got posted and I’m so worried I won’t like it once I’m in it*
*assuming I get selected, which is not a given but would be extremely shocking if not.

My random.. so I went to the grocery store today, got all the things on my list and was about to head to the checkout line when I realized...I didn't bring my purse. I have never done this before! Luckily, the store is like 2 minutes from my house so I parked the cart near the frozen food, went home to get my purse, then came back and proceeded as normal. How embarrassing! I know some people here don't like the term 'pregnancy brain' but I will take that combined with still recovering from a cold as my excuse!
Nothing like getting involved in a project at work and getting zero credit for your work... and the lead totally screwing up your suggestions on distribution. [wishing I had the eye roll emoji] (I really need to work on not getting invested in things...)
I’m craving something but I can’t figure out what. I’m still having weird food aversions so 90% of food sounds disgusting. I’m still not gaining weight because I’m barely eating. I just want to have a normal appetite back
I didn't realize how stressed I was about finding a daycare until we found out my sister-in-law (who loves kids and babies and will be on summer break from teaching just about when we need help) can and wants to do it. I feel so much relief! Now we have a little extra time to look to secure something by next fall.
ETA: plus baby will get extra time to build his/her immune system up before being subjected daily to the germs of many other babies.
Hormones are in full swing last night and this morning! A guy I went to high school with posted a picture and video from his recent wedding and I LOST it. Started bawling like a baby - wtf I haven't seen this guy in person in almost 10 years!
I love it when Amazon splits my order so the things I need now get here in 2 days and the things I don't reeeeeally need earn me $5 in Prime Now credit!
Also, a general PSA: Don't forget to do your kegels! Lately it doesn't seem to matter if I brace myself for it or even JUST peed, if I sneeze I need a new pair of underwear... Pleeeeeeease don't let me catch a cold this winter.

@meggyme Yes! I am coming down with a cold and I officially snissed for the first time yesterday! Luckily I was home and could easily change - so embarrassing!
@maggiemadeit I don't know if it's the relaxin loosening muscles or just that my bladder fills up quicker, but I didn't have this problem (at least this bad) before being pregnant again.

I just discovered the one thing that hasn't been ruined by my pregnancy taste buds...we had catered lunch today from a local barbecue place and the baked beans were godly. it totally made me make a mental note to have my sister make some for my baby shower LOL.
Just want to share because i laughed at this one.... So I’m on the home page (on mobile) looking at the articles and I see the “real answers to questions from real moms!” thing. The first topic was sex, I click on it wondering what people are asking about and the first thing I see is...
@meggyme@maggiemadeit Yep, I've had a few questionable sneezes too I have some damage to my bladder from my first pregnancy/delivery but with pelvic floor physio I'd gotten much better. Now that I'm pregnant again, I have stop what I'm doing concentrate reaaaally hard when I sneeze. Fun. Gotta keep up the kegels for sure!
Those are the two main responses, followed by a few no/ew/what???
