September Appointments

Re: September Appointments

  • @sweetyjenj I’m glad we still have a few months, and I’m hopeful she will get where she needs to be! There is just a small worry in the back of my mind that if she doesn’t move and I need a csection it would be very difficult for us. I have a 30+ lb special needs toddler who I have to lift a lot for crib/bath/car etc. My husband doesn’t get any leave from the Army and we don’t have any family that are willing to come help after baby. It would be a huge hurdle for us to find help while I recovered from a csection. I’m just gonna keep hoping for a successful vaginal delivery!

  • Anyone have a baby that is hanging out transverse? The said she was at my AS at 21 weeks, and based on her movements I think she still is. I don’t think either of my other two kids ever sat this way this late. If she is still transverse next week at 26 weeks I may start seeing a pregnancy chiropractor to see if some adjustments may help her turn the right way.
DD was transverse until... gosh... I think it was like at least 32 weeks! It was late. I did the inversions from the spinning babies website and also some acupuncture.

  • @beachmama14 My baby is transverse and has been practically the whole 2nd trimester. Most of the movement I feel is on either side of my abdomen. I see a chiropractor regularly. Definitely not cause for concern yet as most babies will have flipped by 30-ish weeks, but you can definitely help coax baby along by seeing a chiropractor and by doing certain exercises to stretch out muscles and ligaments and keep your pelvis "loose". Do you have an exercise ball? I used to do daily exercises on one when I was pregnant with DS which really helped loosen up my back and pelvis. I'm sure it's what also helped me have a quick, easy labour. I plan to pump mine up in the next week or so and get started again. Also, I've found that getting a prenatal massage right before a chiropractic adjustment works much better than just the adjustment alone.

  • @beachmama14 yeah I can understand why you'd really hope baby moves! I hope that delivery goes smooth for you and csection isn't needed. There's plenty of time for baby to move still, but also between chiropractors and doctors I've heard they can get babies to move. I forget what it's called, but there's a method of flipping full term babies. I know a few moms who have done it and they said it was painful, but it worked.
