@kiki047 thank you for answering my question yesterday! I figured it out, although I’m not really sure that my Fitbit is accurate? There is little to no variation. I didn’t temp this cycle, so I have nothing to compare it to, but it still seems not right. Is the Apple Watch more accurate you think? Fitbit looks like it just takes an average of some sorts. Photos in spoilers.

Anyone else have any any tips for Fitbit and resting heart rate?

R/R: Rant - I was going to take the month off from temping and I didn't, now I'm hooked for this cycle and it's stressing me out again! When will I learn my lesson? Rave - I'm dying my hair purple-red on Sunday and I'm very excited but very nervous... it's a drastic change for me (my hair is dark blonde/golden brown) and my eyebrows are really light so I'm afraid I'm going to look dumb! Better learn how to do my brows, huh?

@lillywonderland I love platinum blonde! My mom wouldn't let me dye my hair unnatural colors growing up, so now I have to do it in my 30s, hahaha. I had rose gold hair last year but now I want something really drastic before I get too old - to be clear, "too old" is a personal preference and has more to do with my comfort level than actual age.

@riff323 I loved it so much!! It is just way too expensive to keep up with (and takes a lot of time and effort). My shampoo and conditioner were like $35 each! It was ridiculous. Maybe someday I’ll go back to it. Also - you’re never too old! I used to ride on the train with a very nice older lady (almost retirement age) and her hair was pink! I loved it!

@riff323 Thank you! We're going to see Night School! My DH really wants to see it haha. Hopefully it's good! I think temping is almost an obsession. I'm not temping currently and it's been so nice but also hard at the same time.

@riff323 I'm so jealous about your big hair change! I've had bright red hair and purple hair and I loved both of them!! I had to go to a slightly more "natural" color with my new position at work but I WILL get back to purple. Even when it starts to fade, it turns into a beautiful lavender color. Le sigh.

@rikiteacup You guys really did give it all you had! Good luck and I hope never to see you hear again (in a nice way, of course!)

@riff323 purple red hair sound great! I googled some pics and I love this color. Rose gold look great too. I am tempted now and I am the most basic with my hair!! The only issue is I need to wash it everyday. I don't know how well the colors would stay vibrant.

Ok YES I love Kevin Hart but it was very off putting when it surfaced that he was cheating in his pregnant baby momma

He's still funny though. I saw him on Jimmy Falon's show with all of the while animals and he was hysterical.

@literatureandink Your weekend sounds fab. There's nothing to "go picking" down here in the south but I've always wanted to. Heck, I'll pick anything.. Strawberries, blueberries, apples.. The only thing we get to pick down here is tomatoes off our tomato plants and that's not that much fun

@kiki047 @meatballs37 I have an apple watch.. Do you just plug in the resting heart rate when you make up? Like meatballs, I don't often see much variance.

R/R: I'm crossing everything that BW comes back by Monday and everything is normal so we can try again this cycle. I would say I'm not getting my hopes up... But I'm totally getting my hopes up.

I'm also in the market to buy a new car and am being very picky about what I want, which makes it EXTREMELY hard to find something

I'm looking for a midsize SUV - I really love the Toyota 4Runner. Anyone have any thoughts to share?

CS/Q: First day testing with OPKs and of course negative. I'm hoping for a CD 14/15 OV this month vs 18/19 but trying to remind myself that because I didn't get a + OPK today doesn't mean I'm going to ovulate late again.

R/R: Finally going apple picking this weekend! We’ve been living in the south for so long, I’ve missed fall so much! Finally a little more north so we can do all the fall things again, although we have to drive 2 hours to find an orchard...

Also, waiting on my referral to a fertility specialist is painful. Why must everything move so slowly.

CS/Q: I started temping this cycle. I’m having trouble remembering to do it.

Come up North! You might be chilly but you can pick ALL the things! And also, that thing about Kevin Hart and his pregnant wife made me so pissed but he owned up to it and she forgave him so I decided I didn't have to boycott him. Also, my Subaru Crosstrek is the best car I've ever owned. I'm obsessed with her.

@literatureandink Happy Friday! Apple picking sounds like a lot of fun. Are you going to bake anything with the apples you pick?

@kbrown2385 Hope you have a fun time apple picking! I live in the south and still waiting for it to actually feel like fall here....It probably won't until mid to end October. I'm the worst about remembering to temp too but I'm going to try really hard this month because it really does help me pin point ovulation.

R/R: I got an email the other day telling me that my results for day 3 testing are normal which is a huge relief. We are getting my husband's blood tests and SA results on 10/10 at our consultation and I guess they will go into more detail about my results as well. I have no idea why they refuse to give results for my husband over the phone but the wait is DRIVING ME INSANE.

Happy that it's Friday and looking forward to the weekend.

@rikiteacup yeah, you pretty much have to stop washing your hair. This is what I'm least looking forward to! Luckily I have thick, curly hair that doesn't ever look greasy (even if it feels dirty).

@nomangos23 my friend has a 4 Runner and he loves it! I have a RAV4 and I love it. Toyota is great!

@littleredm We recently moved from sc and I remember Christmas being 85 degrees. I felt like summer went right into a month of cold in January, just to be summer again come April. I’m originally from ct so it’s almost painful to hear about the colder weather, apple and pumpkin picking and the leaves changing colors.

@literatureandink the celebrity workouts are my favorite! I cry from laughing so hard! I hoping to get full fertility testing done as well as genetic testing on both myself and dh.

@nomangos23 I don’t know much about the 4Runner. I have the Lexus RX350, and I love it. I’m actually leasing a used one so it ended up being cheaper than anything else I looked at. I had no idea they would lease certified used/preowns but they do.

R/R: Rant: The Kavanaugh hearings. That’s all I better say lest this be a 3 page diatribe! Rave: MH gets home today so looking forward to a relaxing weekend watch college football and HIO.

CS/Q: This is just my 2nd month BBTing but I’m already trying to find temp patterns to predict my ovulation. I realize that’s not exactly how it works but it’s fun for me. I’m going to predict my O day as CD14 based on some temp patterns, so we’ll see what OPKs and FF say!

@nomangos23 The new 4runners look sooo nice. I looked at some used ones last year and my only hesitation was that the backseats are a little stiff to ride in. I ended up getting a slightly used Honda Pilot, trading in our old Pilot. They maneuver really well, are super comfortable in all rows (they have 3, with the rear fold-down, 8 ppl capacity), and the trim I have tows up to 5000 lbs.

Lurking today because I didn’t have time to post.

@nomangos23 @meatballs37 I use an app called AutoSleep to track my movement because I toss and turn so much. It takes RHR readings so I use that number, which seems a lot more accurate than what the Apple health app gives me. I was recording both at one point and my sleep app almost exactly correlates with my BBT but apple’s readings were off. I don’t think I’m the norm so I can’t really comment on what it’s supposed to look like but based on my readings I think RHR should follow a similar pattern to bbt.

@littleredm welcome back! Keeping FX for YH’s results. So glad yours were good news so far. My first RE appt is 10/12 so we can be on pins and needles together.

@nomangos23 love Toyota in general. I have a Lexus CT200h hatchback right now (that I won in a raffle, not my first choice for cars) but had a Lexus RX400h before that, and will be getting a Toyota RAV4 (if/)when it’s time to upgrade to make room for a car seat.
