@Griffin5413 - I know what you mean with the mood swings... hormones are powerful! Good luck on your transfer, and so glad you're sharing your journey with us!
@raithewolf - So sorry to hear you had to go through the egg retrieval stuff more than once, but thank goodness it wasn't cancelled altogether! That's a great amount of eggs! Good luck to you too!
@cscronce - I get to stop OCP today too, looking forward to it! Glad to hear you got the green light, that is such a relief! I will be transferring on the 14th I think, so we're almost cycle buddies
AFM, i have my mid cycle ultrasound/bw tomorrow morning. weirdly i have been having spotting the last couple days - it was like AF CDs 1-5, then nothing days 6/7/8 and then day 9 I woke up with spotting that has continued into day 10. i am remembering that letrozole tended to lengthen my cycles, but honestly i'm not really sure why this might be happening especially with the break in between. guess we will find out tomorrow if anything is "off"

is anyone on a special diet? I was on a strict high protein and no carbs diet before ER and I did so well and didn’t cheat once! But now before my FET, I’m really struggling!!
@cscronce I'm happy to know that you got thru that crazy storm! And excited for your green light, moving forward with your FET cycle, and it's always good to be done with BCP! @wishing-and-hoping keep us posted and GL on your appt! Welcome @riathewolf and Congrats on your 17 eggs and FX for a great fert report! Sorry for that hiccup you had on your 1st retrieval attempt, but I'm glad you got thru it! @purplg8r I'm struggling too! I have been trying for low carbs diet but had too many cheat days that it doesn't really make any sense, ugh! I'm gonna try to do better next week till transfer, GL to you!
well apparently the RE thinks its just a matter of my lining being thick at the beginning of the cycle and needing to slough off more than usual. oddly now its thinner than where they'd like it to be - somewhere in the 4's today on CD11 (the want at least 7), so we'll check it again monday and see if it's thickening up any. largest follicle was a 12 so we have some time and i'm trying to stay positive.

Sorry to hear that your lining wasn't where they expected it to be. Did they increase any of your medications? Don't remember if estrace was part of your protocol. FX that your lining thickness double really quick the next days and with your lead follicles being 12mm looks like you have time, I wouldn't worry too much. Hang in there girl! I'm rooting for you!
Hi, I just started a new FET Oct thread by accident, I missed this one! I have been on lupron for about 7 days and am about to start estrogen (patch and pills). I am 37 and DH is 37. We have had 3 failed IUIs, 2 IVF stimulations, and now have 2 blastocysts with positive PGS results. Doc is offering to transfer one, but I am not sure I can keep doing this, so am thinking of doing both. Anybody have any advice or feedback on this?
@wishing-and-hoping - So sorry the ultrasound didn't give you better news, and I hope you see a big change on the next one. Stay positive, it's not over! Welcome @MSDarmanin - I can imagine you are ready to implant both after a long journey to this point! Our RE strongly recommends one at a time, but I know opinions differ, and there are a lot of success stories with two. You will make the right decision Welcome @MamaK225 - so sorry to hear about your losses, I hope and pray this cycle is a success for you.
AFM - I just re-read my protocol schedule this morning, and have been under dosing my lupron I was suppose to be doing 10 units to start and have only been doing 5 units the past 5 days. I'm going to email my nurse, but I'm worried I might have to start over. So embarrassing ... Hope things are more on track for you all
@MSDarmanin because of calculators like this one: https://www.sartcorsonline.com/Predictor/Patient my likelihood of a live birth with single embryo transfer over two cycles is 67% vs transferring two embryos at once 57%. Simply because of that 10% increase I'd rather go through two FETs, but it's all about what you can handle.
@babydust2507 i am doing natural/augmented FET (just letrozole/trigger/PIO) so i'm not on any estrogen supplementation - I can't remember the exact reasoning but he said if we were to introduce that at this point it would throw things off. so yes just going to keep my fingers crossed! Historically I haven't had issues with thin lining so I'm hoping it'll catch up in the next couple days.
@MamaK225 welcome and I'm sorry you have been through so much. I really hope you get your take home baby this time. My calendar is unpredictable bc of natural cycle but if I don't get canceled I think we might end up being transfer buddies!
@hereforthebabies I messed up my letrozole start date too... it's easy to get things confused with so many meds and instructions and different cycles - I hope it still all works out for you.

@wishing-and-hoping Oh no! Did your RE give a reason for why your lining might be so low this far into the cycle? Your follies are still small so definitely chance to catch up and I know lining thickens as your estrogen increases. So FX everything works out! I know how frustrating a cancelled natural cycle is; really hoping that’s not the case with you!
@MamaK225 Hi! I really hope this is your cycle! Oct. 1 is so close!
@MSDarmanin If your RE is saying 1 on your first transfer, I’d definitely listen to his/her recommendation. I’m a little younger, but every time we bring up transferring 2, my RE comes back with horror stories about the twin pregnancies he’s seen. Ultimately it’s your decision and believe me, I understand the feeling of “I’m not sure if I can keep doing this” SO well. It sounds like this is your first transfer, so I’d be inclined to go with the RE’s recommendation. Although if finances are a consideration, that’s certainly something to discuss and weigh relative to the risks of a twin pregnancy.
@hereforthebabies OMG you must be so stressed out. I really hope it just ends up being a minor thing and everything still moves forward smoothly!!
This has been a very Busy board over the last few Days! Thanks so much for all the bloody well wishes you ladies are a hoot!!! Update on me still no AF been taking Provera for about five days have two more days left, the get AF then on CD3 I’ll go in for blood work and ultrasound, and theyll stick me a BCP till I get my saline sono between CD6 -CD14 just to make sure that there was no scar tissue from the surgery in January of my uterine septum resection… Better safe than sorry. That will push me back till late October FET i’m OK with that. I have also been battling bronchitis for the last five days which is made my life hell… I still feel like crap and we’re going on day six tomorrow if anybody has Any herbal remedies that can help I am all ears!!!
I’ll catch up with the tags in a little while
to all the ladies having their FET is on October 4 may it bright you the most luck!! It’s my birthday
@MSDarmanin welcome! I too went through 3 failed IUIs and have 2PGS normal frosties. My RE recommends transferring only 1 unless of some known issue up until age 40. Plus, I don’t want to transfer both in case timing or medication is off for this first FET.
@MamaK225 I’m so sorry for your losses. I hope this FET will be successful for you
Welcome @MSDarmanin and I know it's a tough decision to make specially with what we have to go thru in a cycle. I know exactly what you mean! My RE advised us to transfer only one for the reasons you're already know, I chose to listen to him b/c we have to put our trust in them, they're the experts and beside if it doesn't work, I will prefer to blame it on him than myself hahaha! @MamaK225 welcome and sorry you found yourself in this forum and I hope we'll be able to give you the support you need in a forum. I wish you the best on the this FET! @hereforthebabies sorry you made a mistake on your protocol, I hope it's not too late and your clinic can still adjust your dose. FX for you! @wishing-and-hoping I forgot that you're doing natural protocol. FX that your system will still be able to catch up with your follicles being small still. @ndz2018 good to hear from you and glad to see that your calendar is still rolling and you are on track! And hope you get to feel better soon!
Thank you ladies, trying to go to sleep so I can get up at 4:30 to drive the 4-5 hr roundtrip for my 5 min bloodwork and ultrasound. Crossing fingers things look good for next Monday!
It looks like there are a good mix of natural and medicated cycles, this should be interesting, to see how everyone progresses. Thinking of all of you and hoping to see a bunch of BFPs this month!!
@hereforthebabies - oh no! I'm soooooo sorry to hear that. I'll be crossing my fingers, eyes, and toes for you!! I know how you feel, I've been having spotting the last 3 says and I'm terrified that means we'll have to cancel, too

@purplg8r I am on an anti inflammatory diet, but mainly because I have endometriosis. Basically, gluten and dairy free, grass-fed meat, free range poultry and eggs and organic vegetables and fruits. @wishing-and-hoping Good luck with your appointment today @MSDarmanin Welcome! My reason for transferring only one in all 3 FETs is because I am very old, but even if I were younger my clinic is all about transferring only 1, they even include in the welcome package for new patients a few articles about this. But I know there are probably the same number of studies about transferring 2...so I would go with my Dr recommendation. @MamaK225 Sorry to hear about your losses. Hope this one is THE one for you.
AFM - Today I went for BW and US, the nurse said everything looked good and I should get the OK from my RE around noon to start patches and doxy. Now, the news is, my clinic has decided (based on some latest studies) that we should have the progesterone injections in the morning (usually it was at night). I just checked my calendar and it has in bold "bring PIO to pre-op appointment" which I have never had to in the other 2 FETs. She said that based on my past history they expect my lining to look good during the pre-op and I should get the first injection right after the US while I am at the clinic. The only thing that makes me nervous is that doing patches in the morning and PIO at night worked for me before (thankfully I have no issues getting pregnant, my problem is keeping the pregnancy)....so now I am worried that moving the PIO 12 hours earlier could mess up with the implantation My primary nurse was not there this morning, but she should do my pre-op in 2 weeks and I will ask for the full explanation and if it is really worth it to change something that has worked in the past.:( WHY?? WHY?? the change that brings the extra stress I really don't need now!!
well my lining was at 6.4 this morning so up 2mm! largest follicles just 13.5 so maybe by my next appointment (Wednesday) lining will have grown to an appropriate thickness
@mama2b1974 sorry for the extra stress! hope they can explain all those details to you soon.

@MSDarmanin I haven't transferred any embryos yet (still waiting on results) but i've had multiple discussions with MH and my RE about how many to transfer, and have read most of the articles they sent me home with. I've decided to only transfer 1 PGS normal embryo (if i get one) because if the first one doesn't take, they should have more information to adjust meds (like @purplg8r said) for a second try. Just my two cents.
babydust2507 - GL on your baseline appt! hope everything looks good! @purplg8r - this is probably the only time we will ever be excited about AF coming! Bababatty - my patience has been nonexistent too! Glad your BW looks good! riathewolf - I'm so glad that when you went back in you got 17! thats awesome! cscronce the 16th will be here before you know it! I did accupunture the 1st time around and remember it being super relaxing. I haven't done it this time though. hereforthebabies - the 14th is so close. Glad you got the greenlight.. hopefully your nurse will tell you that you are still ok. My RE told me before I even started the estrace in addition to the lupron that as long as I was on estrace for 3 days before the lupron ran out to not even worry about reordering if I needed to. wishing-and-hoping - i'm so glad your lining check came back better! @MamaK225 - 1 week left! that's so exciting. praying that this will be the 1 for you!!! I can't believe you drive so far just for bloodwork! mama2b1974 I have always taken the PIO in the morning. I wonder if it's the same reason you should take a pregnancy test 1st thing b/c your hormones are strongest. Maybe your body absorbs it better in the AM. Hope she explains everything to you better!
Just had our consent signing this morning. My last lining check and b/w is scheduled for Friday morning so hopefully all will still be good. I'm starting to freak out that I didn't do acupuncture this time around. The first time I was just doing it to "hedge my bets" but now I'm worried that I should be doing that too. I just don't have time this round to fit it into my schedule.

@mama2b1974 sorry for the extra stress and I hope if they decide to have you taken PIO in the morning they will give you good reasons to reassure you good to hear that your lining is progressing , congrats @wishing-and-hoping! @blackhottamales welcome and feel free to hangout with us! hope you'll get your calendar soon and you'll be scheduled for October. I hate the wait! @Griffin5413 thank you and glad to hear that everything looks good on your end and FX that good news and green lights will continue coming your way AFM I had my baseline appt today, everything looks good as expected, thin lining less than 4mm, no cyst and estrogen level was at 22. So I will be starting on estrace on Wednesday,YAY! finally will be doing something (eye rolls)
@babydust2507 Yay for starting with things looking good! Hope all continues well.
@Griffin5413 - That gives me some hope, thanks! Really don't want to start over. Don't freak out about the acupuncture, it might not help if you're so busy that it stresses you more. Good luck for Friday's appointment!
@wishing-and-hoping - Great news! Sounds like this cycle will work out just fine. Grow lining grow!
@mama2b1974 - interesting, I haven't heard when to inject the PIO yet. Keep us posted what they say.
@MamaK225 - praying all is on track for your transfer and next appointment. I don't envy you that drive :-/ And thank you for thinking of me! I'm trying not to stress... but lesson learned. I asked my husband to read me the volume to inject initially, and he was looking at the wrong part of the calendar Should've double checked!
Thanks for your concern ladies @purplg8r , @Bababatty at this point my nurse said we will just wait until my ultrasound on 9/26 (Wednesday) to see if the lower dose of lupron was sufficient. On another note, AF arrived today with a vengeance! I had severe pain (cramps), dizziness, fever/chills. Felt like I was going to pass out for a bit... All has calmed down now, but I was wondering if you guys have had such symptoms with the lupron? Good luck to everyone!
hey ladies do anyone one you will be doing assisted hatching? is it part of your protocol or is optional? I also went ahead and add it to the calendar, I will appreciate if you guys can fill out this column as well. I have that on my consent to sign off on it and would like to know if everyone will be doing it, thank you!
@Griffin5413 I need to call about when I need to go in for a acupuncture. I keep forgetting to
@babydust2507 glad things are starting to happen. I did PGS testing so it’s a part of mine (or they don’t need to or something)
AFM I’m not sure why they ever gave me a tentative date of Oct 3/4. I asked my nurse how many days after my pre-op until the FET and she said 6-9 days. I have 10 days of meds before that. So that puts me at Oct 11-14. I fly out of town Oct 12-14. Do I say something now?
@ndz2018 I'm sorry about the bronchitis! A colleague gave me a pack of honey ginger tea the other day that helped a bit with some sniffles I had; I could see that being helpful with bronchitis, too. She bought it from a Chinese grocery but you can also find it at organic stores or whole foods. I wish I knew the name; I just know it was in yellow individual packs. Possibly with a cartoon ginger. Feel better! Also now I am stoked for my FET because it's on your birthday and I hope for some positive energy from that!
@MamaK225 oof that is a long drive! I will not complain about my subway trek for 5 minute bloodwork! How did it go today?
@mama2b1974 You have found mantra! I am the queen of creating extra worry where none need exist. Anywhoodles, I had never even thought about timing of PIO making a difference. I'm curious what impact they think changing up the timing will have given your history. Basically I'm just interested in their reasoning purely for curiosity's sake (and also because I know how much my RE loves it when I come in with all kinds of suggestions I've found in the internet, lol). Sorry that it's causing you all kinds of stress!
@Griffin5413 I wouldn't worry too much about the acupuncture. Agreed that if it would make you stressed, it wouldn't be worth it.
@babydust2507 Fantastic start! And I hear you on being excited for the estrogen. When we decided to do a programmed cycle I was excited in part because it meant I could do something instead of waiting to O. As for the assisted hatching, they ended up doing it for my first FET. It was something we'd agreed to, but the embryologist ultimately makes the decision about if it's warranted during the thaw process. Or at least that was the case at my old clinic. We did not have to do it for our last 2 transfers.
@hereforthebabies My AF wasn't as bad as that but I did have a lot more cramping than I expected given that the acupuncture seemed to have been helping with my cramps in general. I did read that's common with lupron.
AFM bloodwork looked good today. Back on Friday for more bloodwork and an u/s.
@purplg8r I’d say something now. Since you’re doing a medicated cycle—right?—they might be able to adjust them to adjust the FET date. Or so my random googling into programmed cycles indicated.
@hereforthebabies Sure! will keep you all posted once I hear from them about this morning PIO theory. Same here, AF arrived on Sunday and my cramps were horrible!! and also had that fever/chills feeling for 2 days, today I am feeling normal on the AF department. @Bababatty I too tend to think and think and think again about everything. So, my logic is that **TW after the second MC my RE said that he recommended the laparoscopy bc he couldn't think of anything else **TW...he specifically mentioned no ERA would be useful since it seems that the protocol we were using was working for me, so why would he change it? I know is just a few hours, but still I would prefer to keep the same schedule. And of course maybe I am just over reacting (which is normal) and that is nothing...so for now, I am not thinking about it or at least trying and will see what they say on the pre-op appointment.
AFM- Not sure if its my head or if its real. I did not make notes in my previous FETs to list symptoms, but it seems that this time I have all of them and super early. I started estrogen patches and doxy yesterday and today I woke up with a stuffy nose and a light headache that is not going away. I remember having both during the estrogen only phase last time, but not sure if it was since day 1....well, only 2 more weeks and then PIO will balance things out.
@babydust2507 - we did assisted hatching. I think with the PGS testing its part of the process. our first time around the embryo had "collapsed" which I guess is common but it still worked and everything came out fine. @purplg8r I would definitely say something. The sooner you know, the sooner you can adjust. Is it a work trip that can be moved or adjusted to work around the transfer schedule? mama2b1974 I was just talking to my husband yesterday about how crazy I feel this time around. I'm not sure if it is b/c I didn't have all of the hormones from retrieval before and only went straight through to FET schedule but I am definitely feeling the effects. Every afternoon I am light headed, and nauseous. @hereforthebabies - I definitely notice a difference with AF when I'm on hormones.
Me: 33 (no known issues)

@MSDarmanin Welcome! I agree with the other ladies Putting two PGS tested embryos only slightly brings your chances up for a live births. My clinic suggest only 1 PGS tested at a time, for now, since this is our first FET.
@Bababatty I'm so excited your FET is on my birthday that for sure is a good sign ALso thank you for the suggestion I will go to whole foods tonight to check it out:).
@mama2b1974 Sorry about the extra stress . Hopefully you'll get answers sooner rather than later.
@Griffin5413 ANOTHER FET on my birthday 10/4 EEEKKKK This is so exciting!!
@babydust2507 It's still super early for that lining... give it some time:) thinking thick thoughts for you
@wishing-and-hoping Than you so much doll!!! Sorry no advice here on FETs i'm still waiting to do my first lol.
@MamaK225 Thats a helluva drive for BW and US! Hope everything went well!!
AFM, LAST DAY OF PROVERA HERE !!!! WOOT WOOT BRING ON THE AF! LOL!! Definitely starting to feel crampy and am in super b*tchy mood and have probably inhaled every piece of chocolate in my view today lol
Also for the new ladies in our OCT FET group if you'd like to add you info to our spreadsheet it makes it easier to keep track of all our dates, protocols, etc here is the link. Its also in my signature
I wasn't worried about the lining @ndz2018, i'm just frustrated that they're putting me on estrace for a month! they're taking too much time because of their schedule! I feel like that's 2 months lost where I could have gotten pregnant and WHOOP WHOOP for AF coming!!!!!!
@ndz2018 Doing the AF dance for you!! Time to get this party started!

@babydust2507 my clinic does assisted hatching for all FETs. I have done a ton of research and it seems to have higher success rates, with little to no risks
@ndz2018 do they think AF will come like right as you're done with the provera?? I hope she comes like tonight!!
@MamaK225 Hope this is your cycle! That's so crazy you have to drive that far! So EVERY bloodwork/US? Wow, that's commitment, I will never complain about the time this process takes out of my day again!
@Bababatty glad BW and US looked good! Do you have a tentative FET date ?
thank you @leilee101 for reassuring me , the nurse finally emailed me back just now and said the same thing, they do that for all FET. Thank you all again!
Just wanted to check in I've been laying low lately just cause I'm not doing anything for the cycle really lol. BUT I've been reading everyone's updates! I can't wait for the transfers to get going here soon and to see some BFPs!!!
I've just been popping those BCPs, and I start lupron tomorrow finally! That's my only update I was 3 hours late on my pill twice now (Saturday and Monday)... And I swear there was some very light brown tint in my CM Saturday prior to being late with my pill and then again on Tuesday (sorry gross I know). Anyone else have this? Hoping I didn't mess anything up!! Otherwise I've been good at taking it around the same time each evening. Last day of BCP is 10/04 I believe then just wait on that lovely AF.
Re: Oct 2018 FET
@raithewolf - So sorry to hear you had to go through the egg retrieval stuff more than once, but thank goodness it wasn't cancelled altogether! That's a great amount of eggs! Good luck to you too!
@cscronce - I get to stop OCP today too, looking forward to it! Glad to hear you got the green light, that is such a relief! I will be transferring on the 14th I think, so we're almost cycle buddies

@riathewolf Welcome! Oh wow what a stressful situation! I am so glad it ended up working out for you! Hope for good news with your fert report!
@cscronce Welcome! I’m doing acupuncture now, too, and loving it.
@wishing-and-hoping Hmmm! Hopefully it’s all normal and no problems. Good luck tomorrow and let us know what they say!
@riathewolf FX for good reports!
@cscronce I did acupuncture for my ER and I need to start up again. But I’m an odd one—I didn’t find it relaxing
@wishing-and-hoping hopefully you’ll get some answers!
is anyone on a special diet? I was on a strict high protein and no carbs diet before ER and I did so well and didn’t cheat once! But now before my FET, I’m really struggling!!

Welcome @MSDarmanin - I can imagine you are ready to implant both after a long journey to this point! Our RE strongly recommends one at a time, but I know opinions differ, and there are a lot of success stories with two. You will make the right decision
Welcome @MamaK225 - so sorry to hear about your losses, I hope and pray this cycle is a success for you.
AFM - I just re-read my protocol schedule this morning, and have been under dosing my lupron
Hope things are more on track for you all
my likelihood of a live birth with single embryo transfer over two cycles is 67% vs transferring two embryos at once 57%.

November 2018 FET-TBD
@hereforthebabies
I’ll catch up with the tags in a little while
to all the ladies having their FET is on October 4 may it bright you the most luck!! It’s my birthday
@MamaK225 I’m so sorry for your losses. I hope this FET will be successful for you
@hereforthebabies oh no! I hope you don’t have to start over!
@ndz2018 ugh! Bronchitis stinks! I hope you feel better soon!

@wishing-and-hoping Good luck with your appointment today
@MSDarmanin Welcome!
The only thing that makes me nervous is that doing patches in the morning and PIO at night worked for me before (thankfully I have no issues getting pregnant, my problem is keeping the pregnancy)....so now I am worried that moving the PIO 12 hours earlier could mess up with the implantation My primary nurse was not there this morning, but she should do my pre-op in 2 weeks and I will ask for the full explanation and if it is really worth it to change something that has worked in the past.:(
WHY?? WHY?? the change that brings the extra stress I really don't need now!!

TTC since Oct 2013
IVF round 1 January 2016 (w/ ICSI)
ER: February 17, 2016; 15 eggs retrieved, 14 mature, 11 fertilized
Day 5 Blastocysts: 8 sent for PGS - 5 Normal
FET date: April 12, 2016 - DS born Dec 7, 2016
IVF round 2: FET : Oct 4 - 1st Beta 188!
good to hear that your lining is progressing , congrats @wishing-and-hoping!
@blackhottamales welcome and feel free to hangout with us! hope you'll get your calendar soon and you'll be scheduled for October. I hate the wait!
@Griffin5413 thank you and glad to hear that everything looks good on your end and FX that good news and green lights will continue coming your way
AFM I had my baseline appt today, everything looks good as expected, thin lining less than 4mm, no cyst and estrogen level was at 22. So I will be starting on estrace on Wednesday,YAY! finally will be doing something (eye rolls)
I asked my husband to read me the volume to inject initially, and he was looking at the wrong part of the calendar
@wishing-and-hoping I’m glad your lining grew some!
@MamaK225 oof that is a long drive! I will not complain about my subway trek for 5 minute bloodwork! How did it go today?
@mama2b1974 You have found mantra! I am the queen of creating extra worry where none need exist.
@wishing-and-hoping Hooray for increasing linings!
@blackhottamales Welcome!

@Bababatty I'm so excited your FET is on my birthday that for sure is a good sign
@mama2b1974 Sorry about the extra stress . Hopefully you'll get answers sooner rather than later.
@Griffin5413 ANOTHER FET on my birthday 10/4 EEEKKKK This is so exciting!!
@babydust2507 It's still super early for that lining... give it some time:) thinking thick thoughts for you
@hereforthebabies Throw me some of that AF girl!!! lol
@purplg8r Def reach out to your nurse about your travel plans thankfully with medicated cycles they can adjust it a few days her and there.

@leilee101 The last two times I have been on provera it took about 2-3 days to get here so maybe Thursday... I’m hoping!
@Griffin5413 it’s for my grandmother’s 90th birthday.
@ndz2018 come on AF!
I've just been popping those BCPs, and I start lupron tomorrow finally! That's my only update
