I know a lot of us are feeling like junk right now so Iwant to start a thread where we talk about our wins, big or small!
My win is that I got the 3 baskets of clean laundry that I’ve been putting off, all put away. Also I scored an awesome solid wood chest toy box at the local thrift store for $10 and I’m going to re-finish it this weekend for my son’s room so I can get rid of a couple dumb plastic toy bins that I hate.
@keighty80 I love this! I need to see the positive right now. Thank you!
My win is that I killed it at Parent Night last night for the middle school where I work. Great convos, fantastic connections made, and I feel momentum for a solid, fun year. That and I managed to keep myself sane, the dog happy, fed, and well-walked, and DS alive this week given that my husband was home for just 1.5 days the whole week.
@keighty80 this is awesome! It’s nice to focus on the good.
I had my performance review at work and I’m always nervous it’s going to be bad because of my own self-doubt. My boss asked for feedback from my team and they all gave me great reviews saying I am very helpful, supportive and always have their back. Definitely made my day!

I survived book fair week! I haven’t done a final count, but I’m pretty sure the fair made more money this time around than it ever has. Which means more books for the library!
DD1: June 2014 - VBM4lyfe DD2: October 2016 DC3: coming May 2019
I survived the week sicker than a dog! My loving Petri dishes, I mean students, got me sick but I made it through the week with no meds! Now, to sleep this weekend! I’ll take tiny victories!
Also, I was able to successfully hide my pregnancy last night at our monthly “teacher’s go out and drink” event! Got my normal drink sans alcohol and nobody suspected a thing! #winning
Didn’t throw up last night after downing a pound of Chinese food! Winning.
On a more serious note, I had a productive week at work. Also crossed a bunch of house stuff off our list that I’ve been meaning to get to (get fireplace fixed before winter, hire landscapers to tame the beast that is our front yard). Now to relax all weekend! Maybe a load of laundry in there.. @keighty80 I’m super impressed about your laundry update. I don’t even mind the folding, but putting away is the worst.
@keighty80 that’s definitely some good wins! I would love to find a good wooden toy chest for a good price. Toys are taking over our house.
@secicc12 Not throwing up after a pound of Chinese is for sure a win! We’re trying to do some house stuff too and got a quote back yesterday, but I’m not so sure I would consider it a win. Haha
I went to a “high end baby stuff” yard sale today and got 5 really nice tops and a set of soft blocks similar to the ones DS uses at therapy for a total of $40! Three of the tops are Ralph Lauren, one Vineyard Vines, one J Crew. I’m very pleased.
@knottie49db0b109d03c919 I’m fighting the good fight! I had students out with the stomach flu, multiple colds, tons of coughing and sneezing. I’m disinfecting like a mad woman since there are approximately 2 meds you can take while pregnant and sick. Lol.
This might be a controversial win but I think you all would feel me...my DH has an eye infection and is acting like a baby. He went to bed right when our daughter did last night around 8pm. I had the whole night to myself-watched British baking show on Netflix and ate peanut butter from the jar with a spoon!! 🙌🏻🙌🏻
I have also had the energy to do 4 loads of laundry so far.
Biggest win though I got my husband to do half the dishes!

My oldest was supposed to have a friend come over this afternoon. Spent the last two days cleaning and mowing. 30 mins before we was supposed to be here I looked at my phone and had a message from his mom from early this morning. He's sick and not coming..
So multiple wins. -My yard is mowed. -My house is clean (besides the clothes that I hid in the bathroom. (oops 🙈) -And I didn't cry when I found out I did all that for nothing. Ha!

I haven't had much in the way of symptoms yet (only 4+2) so I'm just the normal "I work full time as a teacher and have a 4 and 2 year old at home" tired, but I've had a nasty head cold/sore throat (what actually made me think I was pregnant in the first place). Anyway, DH isn't a fan of his new job so he's busy with that and being cranky about that, so I've been killing it with meals, clean up from meals, keeping the house clean, currently on load two of laundry, have all my lessons planned for next week, getting both kids up and ready in the morning, getting to work on time, and running interference between my girls who are in a state where their main job is to annoy each other as much as possible. I think right now I'm trying to be Super Mom so if symptoms are as bad as they were with DD2 I won't feel so guilty if I'm not much help at home.
I've been miserable with morning sickness on and off all day (but the morning till mid-day is the worst). Bought a bag of GinGins from Trader Joes (ginger chews) and the bag said you can take 2 of them and melt them in a cup of how water to make ginger tea. I've tried everything and nothing seems to help BUT this actually helps!! Yay for being at work and not feeling sick (at least for now).
A local farm store around here has homemade in-house pumpkin donuts and cider donuts...I'm hoping we can get to them sooooooooon before I may not want them........
I was offered a limited partnership from my company on Friday! So came in today feeling all "part-owner" like lol! But it is very nice to have my contributions recognized. It's a small piece, but a piece nonetheless.
@mrsdee15 My husband said he found it in the juice aisle at Publix! It’s made by Welch’s. I had nonalcoholic wine during my last pregnancy, and I might as well have just put apple juice in a wine glass, but this sparkling sangria exceeded my expectations!
The plus sise of getting up at an ungodly hour is that I am getting stuff done and feel good before leaving for work. I managed to do a load of laundry and unload the dishwasher today. So what if it is before 5am? It is done. I call that winning.
@lappymom2019 I’d definitely say that’s winning! Even if I couldn’t sleep, I’m pretty sure I’d just toss and turn in bed or watch tv instead of being productive haha

@bluesky24 Definitely a win!
@nopegoat Your house will at least stay clean a little longer without an extra kid to mess it up again!
@mamajojo1981 I'm going to look for those! Any excuse to go to Trader Joe's, really.
I just ate a donut and it was extra yummy.
then 3 failed IUIs, and finally a successful IVF FET.
