How far along are you?
28 weeks tomorrow!
How are you feeling this week? Any new symptoms?
Ugh, just going to point you to my most recent comment in the Symptoms thread...F pregnancy dreams and sciatic nerve pain.
Rants/Raves/Questions/Dear Diary?
Today is my Monday, blah.
Also, tomorrow I'm going to a pep rally at my old high school to do some cheers/fight song with the current cheer squad. A friend and I went last year and it was seriously so much fun!! We did do stunts last year, obviously I won't be doing those this year, but I can still do cheers and dances
GTKY: What is your favorite dessert? (Hoping this hasn't already been done!)
I actually don't have a good single answer lol. Cheesecake used to be my answer, but man I like most things honestly. I've been really into baking cakes and cupcakes, but I also love things like apple pie, blackberry cobbler, ice cream, cookies...having GD this pregnancy has sucked majorly lol.

How are you feeling this week? Any new symptoms?
Overall pretty good! Just so damn tired all the time.
Rants/Raves/Questions/Dear Diary?
I have my GD test on Friday. I haven't been concerned about it until recently. I've had occasional issues with low blood sugar my whole life, and recently have been having on and off symptoms of it this last week. I'm hoping it doesn't mean anything.
GTKY: What is your favorite dessert? (Hoping this hasn't already been done!)
Strawberry shortcake!
@CecilB93 Have fun at the pep rally! Sorry you've been having sciatic nerve pain
@Hollyyyyy +1 so tired. I was just thinking about how i could really go for a nap!

How are you feeling this week? Any new symptoms?
Nothing new. Feel ok, just slow and tired.
Rants/Raves/Questions/Dear Diary?
Not much, just trying to figure out lots of logistics for the next couple of months (moving, shower, maternity leave, etc). I'm not a super organized person so all of this at once is pretty overwhelming. DH is even less motivated/organized than i am for these things so I've been trying to give him direction and delegate to him, but he still thinks everything is so far away, when I can't believe how soon it's all coming up!
GTKY: What is your favorite dessert? (Hoping this hasn't already been done!)
I've been really into dessert lately. strawberry rhubarb pie, brownies, strawberry ice cream, peach anything. I'm (obviously) a fruit person, but I wouldn't say no to any kind of dessert right now!
@Hollyyyyy Happy test on Friday!
@morgantu I’ve been stewing about logistics too, and wondering what the bare minimum is.
* random funny. Every time I read GD I know it’s gestational diabeetus, but my brain first reads it as goddamn and I laugh every. time. because the boards seem full of rage.
How far along are you?
28 weeks tomorrow
How are you feeling this week? Any new symptoms?
Pretty good! Back is feeling a lot better since I'm using a big ol' support pillow.
Rants/Raves/Questions/Dear Diary?
Today I peeked on my test results from my last OB visit. My blood sugars were nice and low, so no GD! But it seems that I am just a tiny bit anemic (hemoglobin & hematocrit levels are *barely* under normal) so I'm wondering if I need to start eating bean salads for lunch or just keep on like normal since by OB's office didn't notify me.
GTKY: What is your favorite dessert?
All of them! My recent go-to has been the humble root beer float, but when I need something specific that becomes my favorite and I require it for further functioning. Recent cravings have included brownies, strawberry ice cream, Oreo milkshakes, and the classic chocolate chip cookie.

@morgantu The organization is so hard, our house looks like a baby stuff tornado, not even sure how we would handle moving.
@echo-charlietango Congrats to no GD and +1 to Root beer floats, mmmmm.
How far along are you?
27 weeks 5 days...so excited for third trimester! Of course, I am not the pregnant one.
How are you feeling this week? Any new symptoms?
My wife is having some real growing pain right now. She just got a belly band though which has helped a lot. I am having some oh crap we aren't ready at all anxiety.
Rants/Raves/Questions/Dear Diary?
A little rave and a lot of rant. We just had our baby shower last weekend which was awesome! It was so beautiful and cute and the food...amazing. Our moms were both there which was awesome but my MIL stayed with us for a week. She is so freaking overbearing and really inappropriate, I can't even handle it. She wants to be in the delivery room and there is no way we are letting that happen (wife is on the same page). I would prefer she stay far away from us and am not sure how we are going to deal with her and a newborn.
GTKY: What is your favorite dessert?
Ice cream. Any kind.
feeling mostly fine. Tired and like baby is running out of room, but otherwise good.
Rant: a plastic toolkit holding art supplies fell out of its cabinet and bashed me in the face yesterday. It hurts so bad.
Favorite dessert: idk if there’s anything that’s much better than warm homemade apple pie a la mode.
How far along are you? 28 weeks tomorrow, holla EDD twins!
How are you feeling this week? Any new symptoms? Okay. Just really tired from travel with a toddler. Baby keeps pushing into my hip bones, which is sort of a funny feeling.
Rants/Raves/Questions/Dear Diary? Dear Diary, the RV is really fun! I actually can pee in the toilet, so that's nice. The Bub slept really poorly last night, and I'm thinking the days when he sleeps well in the pack 'n play with the snooze shade are coming to an end. Good thing our days of travel are also coming to an end!
GTKY: What is your favorite dessert? (Hoping this hasn't already been done!) Everything? Okay maybe not everything, but I'm a sweet fiend. I love a good slice of cheesecake (mint chocolate chip preferred), trying out new Ben and Jerry's flavors, sweet pastries like eclairs and cream puffs, fancy donuts...all of it.

How are you feeling this week? Any new symptoms?
- Still dying from heartburn. Nothing new really, just continuing to get large and uncomfortable over here.
Rants/Raves/Questions/Dear Diary?
- I’m curious, those of you who have already done your 1hr glucose, how’d you feel afterwards? I had mine yesterday & felt like crap all day. Just really nauseous, sluggish, and lightheaded. I’m hoping that’s not a possible indication of GD, because I don’t remember feeling that way when I did it my first pregnancy. Also, looking forward to my 28w appointment on Thursday! We’re re-checking the placenta previa which means I get to see this cute little dude’s face.
GTKY: What is your favorite dessert? (Hoping this hasn't already been done!)
- Right now? ALL OF THEM. But definitely cake. Especially the super soft spongey ones, yummmm. Now I need cake

@CecilB93 The pep rally sounds so fun!
@Hollyyyyy I actually got diagnosed with Hypoglycemia (low blood sugar) after my GD test (I had to do the 3 hour). The nurse told me that it becomes more noticeable the further your pregnancy progresses, which I can definitely say is true in my case! She said it was nothing to be concerned about, but my blood sugar was pretty low so I just need to make sure to keep some protein rich snacks on hand with me when I'm out driving and running errands in case I get woozy and be sure to snack on something every hour.
@morgantu I've been feeling pretty overwhelmed too! It'll all get done though.. woosah!
@mamatwopointoh oh man, invasive MIL's are the worst! I have a strict policy of nobody seeing me in that condition unless it's my husband or a medical professional, hah! Hopefully she respects both of your wishes!
All of these desserts have me drooling over here. YUM!
How far along are you? 28 Weeks on Sat
How are you feeling this week? Any new symptoms? Heartburny, tired, can't breathe. BUT- I did get adjusted today and it was fairy tale like. I feel like a new woman! Hopefully it lasts more than a day!
Rants/Raves/Questions/Dear Diary? Dear Diary, does it make me a bad mom to pay a babysitter to watch the 2 year old while I go to the 10 year old's baseball game on Thursday? Maybe. But DH has been gone for 2 weeks now and I'm in serious survival mode. That's also my reason for having panera for lunch and then chick-fil-a for dinner.
GTKY: What is your favorite dessert? (Hoping this hasn't already been done!) Any and all of it! I read everyone's post thinking "oh man, I forgot about that!!" I could eat all of them! If I had to choose, I would say either a warm, fresh out of the oven brownie or any sort of fruity pie/cobbler. mmmmm.

@PensiveCrayon Sorry about your traveling woes! Sounds like it was really rough on you, but glad you made it to your destination safe and sound!
@mamatwopointoh Ah Sorry about the overbearing MIL. Hopefully when your wife puts her foot down she will back off a little bit.

I feel huge! Someone somewhere was talking about baby coming through their belly button. Yes to that. She is breech so I think her head is right near there and always putting pressure. I also used to have a naval piercing and I forgot how irritated it got last time. There’s this little piece of skin above where the hole is and it feel like it’s stretching to infinity.
Rants/Raves/Questions/Dear Diary?
I’m planning on going to my sister’s house right at nap time so DD will skip her nap entirely. This is an exceptionally bad idea but I’m doing it anyway. Wish me luck. I have to get out of the house and it’s hard when nap is promptly at noon!
GTKY: What is your favorite dessert? (Hoping this hasn't already been done!)
Pregnant me loves every dessert in equal measure. I get something new every week to snack on at night. Not pregnant me really likes molten lava cake with vanilla ice cream. But most of the time honestly I have a beer as “dessert.”
@CecilB93 Yea, GD is kind of the crusher or any dessert dreams haha! Although I made such a low carb dinner for this week that I'm sneaking in some cookies! Woo hoo!
@echo-charlietango I'm totally with you on GD being such a weird thing to say haha! I definitely had to explain it to my family before I started using it!
@mrsm224 I have GD and I didn't feel sick after the one hours test. The three hour test is a different story. That was miserable. But hopefully that eases some of your concerns!
How far along are you?
28 weeks! Third tri!
How are you feeling this week? Any new symptoms?
Absolutely miserable. My blood pressure was up yesterday at physical therapy so she wouldn't do anything and called my doctor to tell her. Plus my 24 hour urine test show borderline symptoms for preeclampsia. My doc called me last night because she just said she knew it must've been a rough day for me and wanted to make sure I'm ok (she knows all my ends and outs of infertility and is so sweet.) I have an appointment with her today so she said we'll talk through a plan of this potentially being the beginning of preeclampsia stuff. Of course being borderline makes them like it could be just super early but they also don't want to jump the gun.
Rants/Raves/Questions/Dear Diary?
I just want time to speed up. I'm ready for my baby. My brother and sister in law had another baby on Monday and just being at the hospital and stuff is so hard. I'm just so ready.
GTKY: What is your favorite dessert? (Hoping this hasn't already been done!)
Reese's blizzard with extra Reese's. I want this brought to me in the hospital since it's a no go with GD haha!

@runrinserepeat Hope your face is doing better today!
@orangecrush29 What’s weird is that I have had hypoglycemia most of my life, but it’s never been a consistent thing. My blood sugar will just drop suddenly for what seems to be no reason (no matter how recently I have eaten, or what in particular), and the only way to get me back up and running is to eat something- literally a bite of fruit or sip of soda will help. I haven’t had an issue this whole pregnancy until the last couple weeks, so it does make me feel a little better that your nurse said it is common to get worse as the pregnancy progresses. Did they by chance say anything about your body over-compensating, and developing GD from it? I don’t know if that’s even a possibility or not, but it’s something I have been kind of concerned about.
@mamajudec2018 Oh no, I am sorry your test results show possible preE. I hope it doesn’t get worse
That’s great that you have some an attentive and caring doctor, though.
DS2 due 12/12/18
@Hollyyyyy @CecilB93 Thank you guys! I'm so blessed to have a doctor that is taking such good care of me!
@Hollyyyyy nope, she wasn’t concerned about GD in the least. She actually said “if you’re feeling woozy, eat a dang cookie please!!” Hah.

How are you feeling this week? Any new symptoms?
This back pain during work days is getting old. I need to start doing more yoga and/or get a massage. At least it doesn't keep me from sleeping. I sleep like a rock.
Rants/Raves/Questions/Dear Diary?
There is still so much to do. I filed claims for short term disability and FMLA, but I am not sure how much time I want to take off. I need a crystal ball so I can read the future 🙂
iTKY: What is your favorite dessert? (Hoping this hasn't already been done!)
I am not picky these days, but I have been day dreaming about apple pie. I should probably just make one.
