This baby has found his or her way into my chest cavity. It is amazing to me that he or she can invade my lung and bladder space at the same time! Other than that, I’m just tired and having some back pain and random thigh tingling and numbness.
Mine likes pressing upwards on my organs and making the lungs feel small. Luckily, little dude seems to have gotten bored with my bladder, so when he stretches out he's transverse so I just feel very wide.
Back pain has been increasing too - especially in the evenings if I need to sit in a chair for a long time. Poor spine is turning into a real wuss factory. Still lovin' my Zantac, thinking about taking two a day to mitigate pre-breakfast reflux.

@katy0990 and @echo-charlietango I definitely feel like I have less lungspace, but I never feel the baby up there...i feel the effect, though!
Not much going on here. I've been able to rest a lot, so I'm soaking it all in. Some minor reflux off and on, rlp Is getting more common when I stand up suddenly, and just generally struggling more to do things. But I really don't have too much to complain about, which doesn't mean I won't lol.
I’m super whiney because I managed to get a cold and it SUCKS! Plus I overdid it yesterday and I’ve been super sore for 2 days now. I just wish I could take something for this head cold and pain. Ugh.
This is pretty much sums it up! My 3 main symptoms are reflux, baby pushing on my lungs, and my hips/pelvis hurt so freakin bad today, they feel like they’re gonna split in half. I thought I could make it 2 weeks in between seeing my chiropractor but now I’m not so sure.
Mostly pain this weekend for me. We had a bbq party this weekend for MH and I think that just threw my back off. Low back pain and just can't get comfortable despite trying to stretch. Also had wicked leg cramps last night that woke me up in the middle of the night so hope that doesn't come back...
+1 for the decreased lung space! My lower ribs hurt, especially at night! There’s no position that is comfortable anymore. But like @morgantu I don’t actually feel baby in that area.
@Activebaby I’m sorry to hear you’re throwing up! @kristah2 I’m sorry about your cold!
I’m counting my blessings that I don’t have those at the moment.
@Activebaby I’m sorry you’re throwing up again. Miserable! I’ve had more vomiting again in the past week, too. Only 3x but I thought I was past that. I think mine is more reflux-vomiting at this point, so I’m just trying to take zantac 2x/day and see if that helps.
I’ve also had one hip/SI joint causing a lot of pain. I think I might need a couple sessions if PT to help get it back how it should be.
@Activebaby and @Katzalia sorry your both throwing up! I hope it goes away soon! @hannelorre and @echo-charlietango Definitely feeling the back pain a lot more, too! I get so uncomfortable, especially when I'm sitting down. I spend a lot of our evenings pacing around the living room, which drives DH crazy! It makes sleeping rough too.

I haven't felt baby up in my rib cage yet, but she's definitely head down because the hiccups I feel about 1-3x per day are in my pelvic area. She's kicking up and down my right half, and if I lay down on my right side, she kicks so far back it's literally exactly on my side, not my belly or back.
Does anyone know - can you get RLPs in your pelvic region? If I stand quickly, I'm starting to get shooting pain on the lower end of my pubic bone area but it quickly fades like an RLP. In the past RLPs went upwards towards and onto the belly.
My dreams are of course crazy. At times they're wildly sexual, sometimes too embarrassing to say outloud. Last night I had a dream that I was very upset with MH because he spent $75 on Amazon on two hipster magazines. WTF.
@omnommer what do the hiccups feel like? I can't differentiate different kinds of movements
@temmetime@ab_canada I had a dream 2 nights ago that i had to tell me extramarital lover we needed to stop the affair because i was pregnant. It was ok, because he was still sleeping with my mom and sister, who were Kardashians. WTAF?!?!
@omnommer I’ve been getting kicks in my side, too, as well as some RLP a little lower. I think as baby grows, things are stretching and pulling in new & fun places.
@mogantu Hiccups are lighter than a kick, so you can't necessarily feel them from the outside (vs. well-placed kicks can be felt by others or seen by others from the outside, at least for me). They're also fairly regular and last 30 seconds to 5 or 10 minutes! Like every second or two a light tap feeling coming from the same place the whole time. They're much faster than my hiccups would be. And I assume where I feel them is where baby's head is... but who knows on that.
Also re: dreams, they are getting crazy, y'all! I had a dream a few nights ago that DH and I had a foursome except he and this other girl were all into each other and this other guy and I were just like sitting there and watching them. And I was super sad that he didn't want me. I woke up and was legit mad at him for like an hour.
I had a dream last night that in addition to baby boy, my latest ultrasound also showed identical triplets. My OB was like, "c'mon, run! you KNOW you need to be careful - you can still get pregnant again if you're already pregnant!" and I'm all "what I'm I going to do with FOUR babies!?"
Holy terrifying.
I'm not having the baby-in-lungs syndrome, because I carry so low. My hips and back have been bothering me, and baby boy needs to find a comfortable position in there (preferably head down), because he's been pushing hard on my right side and it's just so uncomfortable. Experiencing plenty of BH contractions, which is probably a good thing in the end but is annoying to deal with.
@hannelorre It's called "Superfetation". It's not clear if it can happen naturally in humans, but it has happened in a rare number of cases when a woman had IVF and also ovulated on her own...
+1 on the crazy dreams. There are so many times I wake up and I think 'wtf was that', lol. Unfortunately I cant remember most of them.
Just wondering if any one else has difficulty determining if their discharge is normal or if it's amniotic fluid leaking? It seems like I have days where I have more discharge than others, which I figured is normal. Today is one of those days and I hate not being able to tell the difference. I've looked it up and I know amniotic fluid should smell sweet, but honestly, I can't tell. The only reason I don't feel too concerned is because how active the baby has been today. Ugh, I hate being paranoid sometimes..
@Activebaby@Katzalia I'm so sorry the vomiting has reared it's ugly head again...I hope it's very temporary!
@temmetime@kristah2 Ugh, sorry you guys came down with a cold. Hopefully it passes soon and stays away for the rest of the pregnancy!
@morgantu@runrinserepeat I'm dying at your guys' dreams. @temmetime I had a LOT of those embarrassingly sexy dreams with my first pregnancy and the start of this pregnancy (I got pretty freaky with Peyton Manning in one, hahaha...sidenote: I'm not attracted to him), but mine have switched to sad and scary/tense dreams and I hate it. I was awake for over an hour last night just staring at our bedroom door because I thought someone was in our house.
My symptoms lately have been heartburn, occasional nausea (I HAVE to take Unisom every night, or I will be nauseous the next day), backaches, hip and knee pain while sleeping and the usual suspect...gas. See spoiler for Siri's reaction to my questioning the persistent gas...
@whitneyb89 I totally feel you on the being paranoid and I've also googled if it's amniotic fluid or not. I've decided that the amount of discharge is just going to vary from day to day and I have to just not to worry about it. Less stress on babe.
Add headaches to my list of growing symptoms. I'm hoping I get some answers this week with all of the testing they're doing.
@whitneyb89 I somehow forgot to reply to your question. I have also been wondering the same thing about the increase in discharge. I had almost none for the first 24 weeks and the past couple weeks I have noticed an increase...especially this past weekend. I plan on asking at my next appointment. Don't drive yourself too crazy!
@ab_canada@runrinserepeat I think she was tired of DD and I pestering her. I was just hoping for a wittier response. I wish they options for different personalities of Siri...I would choose snarky Siri.
@mamajudec2018@clbness Yeah, I'm trying not to worry about it too much. Thankfully my next appointment is Friday, which I will ask then. I think I remember seeing that you would have an increase in discharge as you approach your third trimester, so I know I shouldn't overthink. Also, the baby has still been kicking my bladder like crazy, so I assume it's possible that it could just be urine.
@clbness I hate the scary and tense dreams! I hope they ease up for you. I was whimpering for help in my sleep two weeks ago a d DH woke me up. It was 5am and I never got back to sleep, so I know how horrible those can be. Hahahaha at Siri's response.
I’m being lazy and not tagging because I hate tagging on my phone. The dreams are making me laugh though. I haven’t had any interesting dreams that I remember in awhile.
I do not have baby up in my ribs, he’s just super low, and always using my bladder as a trampoline, which is just awesome. Last Friday I told my boys that baby was kicking my bladder and I was hoping I made it home to use the restroom. One of my 6 year olds responded “so boys have penises and girls have bladders!”.
I actually called my doctors office a couple of weeks ago about the increase in discharge. I’m super paranoid because both of my other pregnancies I had a small tear, so I was randomly leaking little bits of fluid. It wasn’t consistent and none of the “tests” (laying down and then standing up, etc) would lead me to believe it was fluid, however both times it was. My doctors office did not have me come in and said since I could feel stickiness to the wet spots it was probably just discharge. I had an ultrasound last week and fluid was good, but I hate this guessing game! I will say with my twin pregnancy I did get up one morning and had fluid (or pee) run down my leg. I’m still not 100% sure what it was because after that I had nothing come out and I had been laying in bed avoiding getting up even though my bladder was about to burst.
+1 to baby being in my chest cavity!! I definitely felt him sticking something up there yesterday, same place DS1 always did, great lol.
Also, my sciatic nerve pain has been a bitch. I haven't been able to see my chiropractor in a couple weeks, and most likely won't until we get paid next Thursday
Also +1 to crazy dreams!! I had a super weird one a couple nights ago, can't even begin to explain it because of how weird it was...
Re: discharge vs amniotic fluid. If it makes anyone feel any better, almost the entire time I was in the hospital I was absolutely convinced that I was leaking amniotic fluid and talked to the doctors about it almost every day. I felt like my underwear was constantly damp, and even got small "gushes" here and there. So much so that I changed probably 3-4 times per day (thanks H for washing my undies a million times!) It never was amniotic fluid. I know it's different for everyone but my doctor said it'd feel like I peed my pants, and if it was more of a trickle it'd be pretty consistent and not random like discharge.
Last Friday I told my boys that baby was kicking my bladder and I was hoping I made it home to use the restroom. One of my 6 year olds responded “so boys have penises and girls have bladders!”.
@snugglyduckling25 Hilarious! @temmetime I hate how real they feel! I'm sorry you weren't able to get back to sleep, that's frustrating. @CecilB93 I'm so sorry you're dealing with sciatic pain. I hope it's at least manageable enough to get you through to next Thursday!
@CecilB93 For your sciatica, try putting something warm on the area to help it relax. My Massage Therapist massages the hip (sort of like side of your butt, really) and it seems to really help. Also stretching or massaging the hamstring seems to help.
