@runningyogimama Love love love the canvases! They look great. It's a great idea to try to get baby stuff done soon so you can do some fun fall things with your kids. I'm going to try that too!
I'm trying so hard to be patient and wait for the Baby shower (a week from today). I am tempted to just go out and buy the rest of what I need for the nursery but since some of it is on the registry, I'm trying to wait.
You guys are making me nest! I finally got a bassinet for baby girl to sleep in our room in, but still need to wash the linens in it. We can’t really start much in the nursery until DH’s bonus comes in which will hopefully be this month. He wants to do shiplap wallpaper to cover the nightmare paint job, which I think will be adorable with classic Pooh theme.
I basically had a meltdown yesterday (thanks hormones) because I spent a decent amount of money on the nursery bedding, and now that I see it in action I don't love it. My parents had to put their dog down yesterday too and I didn't get back there to say goodbye to him so I was feeling sad and guilty about that too so I'm sure that didn't help. I'm really struggling finding gender neutral bedding that I love. I am going to do some more looking and I might just put a couple signs up in the nursery and wait to buy bedding and the rest of the decor when baby is here and I know if it's a boy or girl. Baby won't sleep in the nursery for 6+ months anyway.

@mockingjay1 - picking bedding is really hard! No need to stress about it. There's still plenty of time so you can definitely put it on the back burner.
@mockingjay1 I absolutely think you're fine to just throw a white sheet on there and call it good for now! Then once the baby is out and you're no longer team green, you can go nuts
@mockingjay1 So sorry about your parents dog. Are you able to return the bedding you don't like? I agree that you could just use a white fitted sheet for now (if you even need it) and get real bedding later!
@offtoneverland - yes, I'm pretty sure I can return it. I just opened it yesterday and haven't washed it yet. Hopefully I can find a boy and girl bedding set that I love and be good. The type A in me is struggling a hair with being team green and not feeling prepared. I feel better today, I think a lot of it was stuff bothering me that had nothing to do with the bedding.

@lifesabeach85 are you going to repaint? I can't remember if you said. @mockingjay1 I had a stressful night too and everything was setting me on edge. We got our new washer and dryer and I hated it at first while trying to figure it out, and it made me so grouchy thinking we'd have to return it or that we wasted our money! I almost started crying because the jeans came out of the dryer damp. Haha. Glad you're feeling better today. Team green would be so hard but it will be the most wonderful surprise ever!
@offtoneverland yes! We picked a new color and however it looks I’m gonna live with it. I hope you end up liking your new w/d - such important appliances!
Nothing exciting but finally have the baby corner setup!!! (Or at least mostly)

pretty much finished. there are plans to make a baby-friendly photo board on the wall behind the dresser, but that’s a project for when there’s time. sorry if the pics are huge, i’m on mobile and can’t re-size.

@highsteaks Oh my goodness, it's absolutely beautiful. It looks like a magazine! I love the lilypad thing behind the crib. What are your plans for the baby-friendly photo board? I'd love to add something like that to our nursery.
thanks everyone! it feels very peaceful in there, so i’m happy.
@offtoneverland i have some old fabric from dd 1’s nursery that i want to use to cover a small wooden board, then attach ribbon (like a memory board) and eventually clothspin some laminated pictures of extended family for the babies to grab or play with when they start to get fidgety while being changed. maybe add some hooks to hang quick grab toys as well.
@ftm_jen Did your husband paint those by hand? They're amazing!
I realized I never shared our nursery, pics in the spoiler but I'm not the best photographer. It's just a little girly I also included the initial inspiration board as a reminder. Sorry if the pics are huge!
@highsteaks now you've got me considering turning our crib out from the wall to give us more space...i may be doing some furniture-dragging this evening.

So I rearranged the entire nursery last night, and this is what I ended up with. I have a light pink elephant/bubble/"Olivia" decal that I'm going to put up, but I'm not sure which wall (blue or white). If I end up putting the decal on the white wall, then the Noah's Ark blanket (made by my MIL, draped over crib now) would maybe be hung up on the opposite wall? Or the bird picture could go on the opposite wall because blankets should be used and not displayed? Clearly I'm not great at making these decisions. Meanwhile, our bedroom is just a hot mess of laundry and blank white walls.
ETA: There would be a lot more storage space if we got rid of one of the chairs, but I really like the idea of us both being able to sit in there with her. Anybody else doing that or is that just me?

@soehlerk I love the idea of hanging the quilt on the wall, was thinking about doing that to over our crib for something soft in case of an earthquake!
Anyone else randomly go into the nursery and just get so excited? I had to walk back in before work today, although it maybe because this is my first and I'm just SO excited about being 6 weeks away from being done with work for the rest of the year
@soehlerk I think the bird picture would pop more on the blue wall. I also think it's a great idea to display the quilt. It's beautiful and babies don't really use quilts anyways, so it will just sit around in a drawer for a long time. Maybe hang the quilt next to the window on the wall to the right of the crib? If it would fit.
@eahayes@offtoneverland YES! Thank you for your opinions--DH is out of town at the moment, and I need other people to push me off the proverbial fence.
And yes, I definitely sneak into the nursery to just sit and look at it. It makes me super excited.

@eahayes I go in there too. Some nights I just go in and stand in there and look around. It makes me so excited that there will be a baby in there soon!!

@highsteaks - I am so in love with your nursery! I also like the idea of turning the crib out from the wall but our room is too small to turn it.
@ginny_203 - your nursery is so sweet!! I love that you had an insiration board.
@soehlerk - now that you said it, I think it's a great idea for us both to be able to sit in the nursery.
We just got our crib sheets in but I just realized we don't have a crib skirt. I gotta get one so we can hide things under the crib. Well, truth be told, there's still a lot for us to do. The nursery looks pretty bare still. The only thing on the wall so far is his name and an empty picture frame. *Sigh* so much to do.
We should get these on the wall today (I just got the frames today). I love them and the colors are perfect with the bedding. It will be the first decor we've put on the walls. I should get the other thing I ordered next week, and DS is planning on making a little wall bookshelf for another wall.
