Over the weekend we went camping for MHs birthday and I was informed by an 11 year old girl that I'm not allowed to drive. When asked why she responded with "because you're pregnant!"

then her 13 year old brother was flabbergasted I went for a walk with them because O.M.G. there were stairs invloved

it was quite comical.

@lurvleybunchococonuts I used to think pregnant woman couldn't drive when I was growing up lol! I obviously know now that's not the case, but a year and a half ago when close friends of ours were expecting, DH said something about the wife not being able to drive because she was pregnant so apparently he thought the same thing! Too funny!!

I'm on a couple Due in November FB groups. Am I the only one that reads some of the stuff posted and realizes my life is pretty darn good and I'm not nearly as crazy as I thought? You honestly can't make up some of the stuff that is posted.

Looks like Florence is headed this way. I live in central NC so by the time it gets here friday evening it will probably be a tropical storm if that. Definitely praying for people on the coast but also selfishly dreading being stuck inside all weekend with a toddler and having to go stock up at the grocery because everyone else is going to pick it bare.

@lurvleybunchococonuts @tessiesmom26 funny that ya’ll mention driving while pregnant today: yesterday i had to drive my dh to urgent care (ultimately he’ll be ok, if anyone is wondering) and we took his car, which is manual. my first car was a manual, so i am plenty versed in how to drive a stick shift, but good golly did i drive yesterday like it was my first time behind the wheel. dh told me that i wasn’t allowed to drive his car while pregnant anymore.

@Amber1174 i’ve seen enough go down online elsewhere that i usually think the extra out there posts are either made up for drama or straight up catfishing. but yea, i’m thankful for this bmb and my pretty tame life.

@lifesabeach85 stay safe! i grew up in va beach, so i’m very familiar with hurricane craziness, too. hope this one is uneventful, and you can still find food and gas this week without a huge hassle.

I'm tired of adulting. I've called a couple pediatrician clinics that were recommended, and one can't get us in for DS's well check until the end of November and she is the only doctor in her large practice accepting new patients. The other clinic has 1 maybe 2 docs accepting new patients, someone is supposed to call me back. They also don't take patients who don't vaccinate so that's a plus with having a newborn. I've also made physicals for DH & I (mostly for insurance discount) and dentist appointments for DS and myself. Researching all these places and making sure they are in network suuuuucks and takes more time than I think it should. One of my least favorite parts of moving. I need to figure out if I want a medela or spectra so I can order my breast pump.

i was on the phone for close to an hour earlier with health insurance trying to sort through a bunch of questions and making sure i know the right protocol for different scenarios to make sure we’re not getting hit with monetary penalties. @mockingjay1 +1 to being tired of adulting.

@lifesabeach85 Girl I feel for you! Irma beat the hell out of FL this time last year and we were without power for a week in 100 degree weather; so this year I've been dreading the hell out of hurricane season. So far so good. I hope it's just cozy rain by the time it reaches you guys.

You guys! So I was so happy to find this board because I was on The Knot for so long before getting married and made some pretty great friendships on there. I’ve gone to some get together and have fb groups with these woman too. Well today I got a gift in the mail. Two of the girls from TK make quilts and send them to other ladies when they have a major life event. They sent me this baby quilt for Baby K and I sobbed when opening it. I’m so thankful for these communities and the friendships they bring!!

@tessiesmom26 Awe, precious! I love my friends I've met on boards. Even H has been surprised at the kindness of "strangers" when they have stepped in when we had a loss or celebrated with us when ds came early in the this world. It reminds me that despite of everything happening in the world, there are still good ppl, even if you've never met face to face.

I’m having one of those days where I just want to curl up and sleep. Except I can’t sleep long because I have to pee a lot, my hips hurt, etc. but I would just love to leave work and sleep all day lol

@booksandcoffee I dream of being able to take off work and have both kids at school so I can just lounge in my pajamas at home and read. I'm a horrible napper, but just being able to be at my own home in peace would be unbelievable.

We found out our dog either had a stroke or has a brain tumor, and it’s progressing quickly, so he needs to be put down.

He hasn’t been himself for a few months, but it’s still so hard.

Thanks, guys. I’m even extra sad, because he really loves babies, and he won’t get to meet this baby.

And he’s only 10 and so active and in good health, and it all happened so fast.
