  • @lippy625 I’m sorry, but I can’t remember, did you not pass the 1 hour the first time?
  • @hoosiermama-2 So, what ARE you going to eat?

@lippy625 That makes sense. I was confused that they were having you do the 1 hour twice. Hope you pass again!
@snugglyduckling25 I hope your SCH has resolved!
@countrygirl624  Good luck Friday! I would wear comfy pants, if you can. The Rhogam shot can be uncomfortable afterwards.

Good luck to everyone with your appointments and GD tests this week!
  • @texas_t I had a Big Mac and fries :D it’s probably been 10 years since I’ve had one (chicken nuggets ftw). Can’t say it was very great... but it’s right next to my doctors office, haha!

Should have results tomorrow or Wednesday.  :#
  • @maureenmce thank you for that info!  I think most people who will come into contact with baby get vaccinated regularly, except me and SO. Looks like we will both be getting it this year!
  • @omnommer I hope your appointment goes well and your blood pressure doesn’t get higher!

@scaredunprepared the very first flu shot I ever received was when I was pregnant with DS1. He was a May baby, so I wasn’t worried so much about the immunity passing to him, but I definitely didn’t want to catch it over the winter. Since then I’ve gotten one every single year except last year because I forgot and they I couldn’t find them anywhere. Luckily our house made it through the flu season without catching it! This is my first cold/flu season baby and I am kind of dreading feeling stuck in the house for months. @maureenmce had some good advice for baby wearing when out, I definitely plan to do that. I have three older kids who will be on winter break for 2 weeks of my maternity leave - we will most definitely have to go somewhere!
  • Have an appointment this Friday with my high risk specialist.... I went for my first appointment in August and everything went well. I'm under the impression that if everything is alright this time. I don't have to see them again.. which is great for my sanity and my wallet. DD had some heart issues at the start of the second trimester... but they seem to have resolved themselves.

  • @scaredunprepared They also recommend the TDAP booster for anyone who comes in contact with baby. That’s not something that adults always get regularly, so you may want to research that one, too.
  • No appt for me this week. Good luck to everyone doing GD screening and hope your TDaP shot doesnt hurt too much!! (I had mine in last august and now i have to have it again wah wah)
  • @asun123 Scary! So I'm assuming all looks well at the moment?

  • Oh no @asun123! Hopefully that’s the last scare until baby time. I don’t really know how preterm labor works though :/

  • @asun123 I’m glad they were able to stop the labor and that you passed the GD test. How far along are you?
  • @asun123 that's so scary! I am glad the medicine helped.

  • @asun123 Fx baby stays put for another few  months!
  • @asun123 how scary, I'm glad they were able to stop it! Hopefully baby stays put for awhile longer!

@kirstey728 yay for no more high risk appointments!

@echo-charlietango that is so scary! I remember DS1 was little when the swine flu was going around and finding vaccines was so hard, I finally found one at the county health clinic and since we had an infant we qualified to get one. Last year when I just completely forgot about getting them I was so nervous one of us would get it because it was so bad. I'm really hoping this years flu season is way better than last year, because having a newborn during a bad flu season sounds terrible.
