  • @prpl11butterfly Ugh. What a kick in the gut. I am so sorry this has happened to you. And yes, after thorough research on MTHFR mutation the "treatment" is to take folic acid in its purest state. I haven't been tested but I opt to take Zahler prenatals which has methylfolate instead of folic acid, just to be safe. Hugs to you and your RPL testing journey. Several of us have been through the trenches of testing already, so we're here if you need.  <3<3
  • @meatballs37 I'm so sorry. I can't even imagine what you've gone through and you have every right to feel bitter. I've felt bitter for far less. Creepy Internet hugs to you. <3

Aw I’m sorry @meatballs37 :'( I’m honestly amazed that you are able to even work at a hospital after everything you’ve been through.

  • @coco2787 luckily I work in the lab so I’m usually far removed from patient care. But my DH has to pull up to the hospital with the NICU everyday. I couldn’t do that and can’t believe he can. He has even worked with the NICU on projects since Abe passed and i don’t know how he does it. I’d be a mess. I suppose we have handled our grief very differently this last year.

  • @meatballs37 I think your fine, shes not going to accept fault no matter how eloquently worded a post was. I'm glad you said something (I've been avoiding that page....). There is no anxiety tied to preg quite like previously loss anxiety and sadly people just don't get it.
  • Ugh yeah @meatballs37 that was so irritating “AF is late but I don’t want to test”.  Go away.

  • I mean, if AF is late.... but I'm also not 1 who really likes early testing.... clearly I should have listened to myself there..

Thank you lab tech for pointing out the frequency with which I've had this blood work run. I truly, truly didn't need that reminder. Or the pity in your voice when you said it. But yea, let me try and have that good day you recommended.
  • @meatballs37 I internet high fived you when I was reading the intros also. She definitely knew before coming into the TWW thread. I mean she went all over TB with it.

  • @prpl11butterfly I’m sorry :( no one needs those reminders shoved in their face.

Also, as a lab tech myself I’m surprised they gave you your results. We aren’t allowed to where I work. Only the nurse or physician can.

Hugs to you for someone who was clearly insensitive.

  • @meatballs37 they didn't give me the results. I get them online once they are run (usually before the doc calls). But today they called before I had a chance to check it. I have dropped to 0 so back to TTC we go. Yey......

    Good luck to everyone

  • @temimore please edit your post, see spoiler.....

Mentions of LC in this thread are greatly frowned appon. Its generally not acceptable even with spoiler.
  • Oh I guess I didn’t see the spoiler. This isn’t the board for me then. No offense meant to anyone.
