@mamatwopointoh don't let the fact that you aren't carrying stop you from posting! We have a husband on this BMB who posts, so join us in the randoms thread, or bitch fest. You can even post in your belly in HDBD if you want
Welcome back, everyone! It doesn't matter if you post every day, every other week or every month. It's hard to keep up with sometimes and we all understand that life is more important than TB.
P.S. I recognize every username that has come out of lurkerdom. Good to see ya.
Hi guys, this welcoming thread for lurkers is too good to shy away from. I’ve posted a handful of times, but have been kinda cautious - had a wretched 1st trimester, so sick - and convinced myself not to get too involved after a couple painful losses. But at 26 weeks baby boy #2 appears to be here to stay so yay! I’m 38, work as a open space planner (parks and stuff), have a (nearly) 3 year old son, two kitties, and live in the SF Bay Area with my favorite person aka dh. Looking forward to participating more as we head into 3rd trimester. Feels like things are moving fast now...
Hellooo, major lurker here. I'm 26 weeks today with a girl. I've commented on a couple threads once or twice, but I haven't gotten in on too much, I mostly just read.
I had my OB orientation today, it should have been done months ago, but I was never scheduled for it for some reason, my hubs is military and we're far away from family so any little bit of information/support helps. I don't currently work as where we're located it makes things quite difficult, so I've given up the job search and tried school.. I took on too much at once and dropped out and have been too scared to go back and try again. So, I mostly just sit at home and clean the house or do chores and take care of my 2 hairy huskies. I have one friend here who doesn't have children and lately it seems she's been distancing herself, so it's quite lonely at times. I have been trying to get out and build some sort of a support system here, but I just haven't clicked with anyone.. We don't have any family coming to visit us for the birth either, so my hubs and I are doing this all on our own.
Despite the circumstances, I'm incredibly excited for baby and I can't wait to meet her, we haven't yet decided on a name and honeslty I don't think we will until very late in pregnany.
Solidarity @jessi_s! We’re also a military family, and I’m terrible at making friends (big homebody here) so the continual moving has been a bit lonely for me. Thankfully my online communities provide some adult interaction, otherwise it would be Toddler All Day Errday.

Hey everyone .coming out of lurking to say that I'm still here and silently following along. A couple of months ago things got extremely busy and stressful at my job .I was too tired, down, and overwhelmed to post anything of value. By the time i felt up to it i realized it's not that easy to just pop back in and start posting again.
I'm 27 weeks today. Early on i took part in some pgal posts. My due date is 12/7 but will be scheduling a c section at 39 weeks. Docs still expect me to be delivered 1-2 weeks before that. I had pre e with my last and my high BP since becoming pregnant has them spooked.
I have one daughter who just turned 5. I live in Florida. I hate it. I miss snow. Married to my hubby since 2011 .Been together since 2007 . I'm 35 years old. I believe i also peaked in on Ama threads as well.
This pregnancy has been a breeze knock on wood compared to my first. I had hyperemesis with her and various other major issues and the pregnancy was honestly a complete sh*t show. I was that person that people looked at and realized how bad pregnancy could be lol .i was terrified of how this one would be .but aside from some hip pains a month ago, one BP spike that had me in the hospital but discharged 3 hours later, and extreme exhaustion it's been pretty easy going .
I'm definitely an active lurker...in that I'm very familiar with your stories and i anxiously await hdbd every Wednesday but no one knows who i am .lol that is so damn sad.
I'll try harder people!
Eta: oh and I'm having a boy! The recent name I'm most stuck on for him is Dominic.
@GoyaBean913 welcome back! I recognize your name. Excited to see you again Glad this pregnancy has been easier than your pregnancy with your daughter. Sorry work stress has been overwhelming you. Fingers crossed it's better now!
I was somewhat active at first and then work and life happened (mainly work!). I also as others have mentioned have issues with this platform.
But I want to stop lurking and post more!
I’m 35 yo FTM from British Columbia. We are expecting a boy and I am 26 weeks along. My husband and I have been together 11years, married for 8. We were trying for +2 years before conceiving which was heart breaking and I’m so grateful now!
Pregnancy has been ok so far. Up to 15 weeks or so the fatigue was almost unbearable. Then between 15-20 weeks I felt pretty good. Since about 20 weeks the back pain, abdominal muscle pain and rib pain have been a bit much!
We have many many pets here...dog, 2 cats, bunny, gecko, many fish and also I work with wildlife as my career. Baby is going to be surrounded!!
I also have 2 step kids that are 18 and 20. They are happy about a new baby brother but lately I am frustrated about how much they still behave like immature teenagers with soo much attitude... maybe it’s my preg hormones making it harder to deal with...
Hello! Major lurker here too. My husband took a job out of state from May to August, so I was doing the single mom thing with a 2 year old. He's back and we are doing a ton of work on the house, but I enjoy reading everyone's stories and comments.
I was a hs science teacher, but finished last year and transitioned to a sahm. I have a 2 year old and I'm 24 weeks with boy #2.
Thanks for posting this! I wanted to jump in again but was feeling unsure.
I’m glad we did this thread. This is what I needed when I was s FTM to have the nerve to participate. Now everyone who introduced, go post on another thread and join the conversations.
Not even really a lurker.... I started a new career last year and this year my DS started school so DH and I have joined our parents club. I've gotten locked in to being an executive board member for the club(which is now officially a not for profit organization.) Weve been combing through a bunch of different laws and learning about how to do our taxes etc. I didn't expect to have taken on this much with the club, but I'm glad that they want me to be a part of it. Also our school is starting Lego league and I had offered to be a coach before I found out I was pregnant (Lego league competition is in December, so that's fun). My FIL is the pastor of our church and a member of ours daughter unexpectedly passed away this week and we've been visiting with family as well.
It's been hectic but hopefully this will calm down here in a few weeks now that school is in full swing and I am developing a more solid routine.
Hi guys! Hopefully it’s not too late for me to re-join in on the fun. I was active a bit in the beginning, but this pregnancy has been full of stress & struggles and I really just needed some time off. But my BMB was my rock during my first pregnancy, and I still love those ladies to this day, so I’m hoping to make that connection with y’all if you’ll have me!
As I mentioned, this pregnancy has been a rollercoaster. I suffered with PPD after the birth of my DS2, and even though I was thrilled to be pregnant this time around, all of those feelings stared creeping back when the hormones started this time. Soon after I got the result of an abnormal Pap smear and had to go in for a procedure to check things out at 18 weeks. My OB decided she doesn’t feel comfortable doing a biopsy until after I give birth though, so now we’re in limbo with all of that. Then at my anatomy scan 2 weeks later, we discovered I had placenta previa. I was put on pelvic rest/light rest immediately, and honestly at this point I’m just so thankful that this little babe is even still sticking around because clearly I should not have had the procedure done at 18w, but we just didn’t know better.
Anyways, enough about all the bad stuff. I am a step-momma to a beautiful 16yo girl who we have full custody of, wife to an awesome guy, & we have an incredible son who is 2yo with another boy on the way! I stay at home now, which is what I always dreamed of doing.
Sorry this got so long! I could keep going, but I’ll save all that for other threads, LOL.
@mrsm224 welcome! Pregnancy is tough, and it sounds like yours is tougher than usual. Sorry you're going through so much. There are lots of us with pretty major life stuff going on. Join us in the bitchfest thread! As if pregnancy isn't complicated enough when it's "easy" ....
Hey everyone! I posted in the Spreadsheet discussion, but I’ll do it here too it it’s not too late? I’ve been lurking for ages because the app is crazy and I’m not a technology person, so it always seemed like so much stress to post and stuff lol I’m going to try and be on here more though ^.^
My name’s Mikinna, I got married in January of this year and we’re expecting our first baby, a little girl December 29th, or thereabouts.
I'll post, cause I've been terrible about participating. I'm not sure why I'm just awful with this platform, but I do pop in and read a bit here and there!
I don't even know if I've updated that we are having baby boy number 3! (Gender reveal pic included!) I was worried my daughter would be disappointed since I knew she wanted a sister, but when we told her she said, "yay! It's alright! I love all my baby brothers! The next one can be a girl." Lol (we'll see if there will be a baby #5...) we told her she is really the princess of the family now, and she has mentioned a few times since then that she loves being the princess of the family!
Hi guys. This is my first pregnancy so everything is very new to me. My little boy is due Dec 13th. My family consists of my husband and my adorable cat, Sherlock. My parents are very excited for their first grandchild. This is going to be one spoiled kid. I am a nurse. Everyone at work treats me like I am made out of glass these days. My coworkers won't let me lift anything (even if it is under 35 lbs). The 12 hour shifts are getting harder the bigger I get. My back hurt so badly yesterday! Thankfully my pregnancy has gone well so far. I just found out my one hour glucose test was normal. I had tons of nausea up until a few weeks ago. I am very happy that it let up. Is anyone else having issues putting on socks and shoes? I don't have any swelling, it is just the bending over part. My husband has helped me out a few times already 😂.
Welcome, @Flipqueen10! I'm 27 weeks and I'm definitely having a harder time putting certain shoes on (especially my strappy wedges) because the bending over is getting more difficult. I've come to the conclusion I won't be able to do my toes any more...I'm paying for pedicures from here on out!
@Flipqueen10 the “handle wth care” from coworkers would drive me nuts! I hate it when people ask me how I’m feeling or tell me not to do something I’m perfectly capable of!
Ok, my last post made me sound a little too girly with the strappy shoes and pedicures, haha! @katy0990 I'll wear my wedges maybe 1-2 times/month if I wear a certain dress to work (that's too long for flat sandals) or if we're going somewhere nice (like the wedding last month). I definitely don't wear them often enough to want to be out of breath putting them on!
@AdorkablePixie Haha, I almost said prissy, but I really don't think that strappy wedges and pedicures are prissy! But, I did sound a little more girly than I really am. I mean, today I'm wearing Chucks, jeans and a Broncos shirt to work.
@Flipqueen10 Hello and welcome!! That’s awesome about your glucose test-one less thing to worry about!! I haven’t given up on socks and shoes yet, but I found using stairs makes it a LOT more manageable xD good luck!!
@clbness, @maureenmce, @CecilB93@PensiveCrayon, @rosebud332, and @AdorkablePixie, thank you, ladies! I try to pop in when I can, but I'm always on my phone and never a desktop, so I'm terrible at participating! I feel special that you ladies havent forgotten about me even though it's been forever since I've posted anything!
