@josie12367 your theme sounds amazing! I think I have decided on a dragon + knight theme for my nursery--so we have similar themes!
I found and ordered the below fabric, which is the inspiration for my color scheme:

I am also obsessed with this adorable handmade plush dragon. It can be made in any color you want. It is definitely on my wish list (They also make unicorns!) (It's from TheRoamingPeddlers' Etsy shop)

@offtoneverland pic in spoiler; i doubt this is exactly what you meant though. here’s the current state of the nursery:
and would you believe that’s after a few hours of organizing haha.
i have some artwork options from etsy picked out; i just need to chose then order something. curtains and hardware are on their way from kohls. still on the hunt for a couple of lamps. old crib skirt and bedding located, will put on closer to edd. all of that other stuff everywhere eventually needs to make its way into the closet or be washed and put away in the dresser.
@highsteaks Remind me what theme you're doing (if any)? Can't wait to see the finished product!
To make you feel better, here is a picture of what is supposed to be DD's room in a little over 2 weeks. The elliptical is being moved this weekend with the help of MH's friend, then we have to move all the homebrew supplies to the crawl space, then get the carpet changed, then install all the furniture. Phew! Makes me tired just thinking about it and we hardly have any time left!
@offtoneverland theme is water garden (dup from dd’s nursery). i think i’m going to add some swan stuff this time, just to change it up a tad. reusing some water lilies, koi, and dragonfly stuff from last time.
A little nervous to share but thought I'd go for it we are going for a modern princess glam theme, something she can grow into. Inspiration board in the spoiler, we are in process of buying a lot of it this week and my husband is painted the room yesterday!
@firsttimespartanmom are you on their email list? they sent me a 15% off coupon last week, but it expired a couple days ago (otherwise i would have gladly given it to you). maybe they’ll send another round out soon (or have a great sale for labor day).
So, I haven't been able to do much for the baby's room yet, with buying a new house and all! We will be painting the room Saturday.
My inspiration is Joanna Gaines' (love, live her!) nursery. The picture is her newest baby's room. I am having a similar color with the white curtains and dark crib. I am looking for a white rug (the one she bought is $500, yikes!). We are also doing a nautical theme, but the walls have a texture to them and we don't have time right now to take them down, so we are just painting over them. So, no cute decals for us.
We finished DD's big girl room! Can I AW it here even though it's not our nursery? I'm so happy with how it turned out and she loves it so much. It feels so real now that we have an empty nursery just waiting for the baby! Here are some pics:
DD is still sleeping in the baby's nursery lol. We still have some moving and painting of rooms to do.
When we were team green I was just going to paint it gray and call it a day but I think I'm going to do Sherwin Williams Krypton (maybe something a little more gray, not sure yet) with a slight Avengers theme.
We don't have the room currently for a "nursery". So we're just going to be rearranging M's bedroom to add a baby corner. We're getting her a lofted bedframe and I'm toying with the idea of getting some decorations to spruce it up a bit but really unsure what to do. FX we get our mini crib this weekend (waiting to hear back from a lady selling one for an awesome price).

We need to get unpacked first and then we'll start working on the nursery. DH also needs to finish DS's bed frame and make him a dresser. I did get the bedding ordered and I'll make 1-2 rainbow baby signs/decor to put on the walls. We're team green and the walls are a light gray and our crib and dresser are dark brown from DS. I'm excited to really put together a nursery this time, because we never full out decorated with DS. Below is the bedding set and a couple ideas for the wall. I will probably make a sign similar to the "something tells me..." one depending on wall space since our nursery is pretty small.

We are doing a Dr Seuss theme. We cant really pain the walls (which are thankfully light gray), so I wanted to add lots of color where we are. Plus my husband and I are both a little silly so it's kind of perfect. I am hoping I can just add a few upgrades when the baby is older to turn it into a toddlers room.
We had a classic Winnie the Pooh theme for our son. We r keeping the room pretty much the same for this new baby, except we painted picture frames etc...pink and put her name on the wall with butterflies around it ( we intentionally chose a semi gender neutral theme with our first with the plan to reuse for the next one). For Christmas we supprised our then 2 yr old with a "big boy room" that is mountain/cabin themed. I am in love with his big boy room. It turned out great!.
@nebeers - Wow!! I love both rooms. I will be happy if I can color coordinate out nursery since I am kinda all over the place with ideas right now. So far we have a white crib, a white dresser and navy blue curtains (those were there before I was pregnant), that's about it. I'm still trying to decide on a rocking chair and if I even have space for it.
We have been working on the nursery here and there. It's been hard with DH injured and me so tired. We bought a bookshelf today that will also serve as a temp wardrobe until she's a bit older. Didn't get as far as putting it together though!
Moved the crib to put up the name, but it's centered above where the crib goes.
Got the last piece of furniture for the nursery today, my gliding recliner!
Now just need to finish decorating!

Nov. '18 September Siggy Challenge: Falling into Fall
I feel dumb for not thinking about this sooner but...we got three 16x20 prints made and framed to hang above baby’s crib. They’re plastic, not glass, so not super heavy. I have the crib moved out a few inches from the wall so should they fall, they’ll fall to the ground, not to the crib. Anything else I need to be concerned about hanging these up? Any good ideas on how to make sure they’re super secure?
@firsttimespartanmom in addition to using a drywall anchor if you didn’t hit a stud, and the normal hanging hardware at minimum— look into adding a few command brand picture hanging velcro strips (pic in spoiler); makes it nice and snug, very difficult to lift away from wall. since you asked about other concerns to think about, i’ll add that once baby learns to stand, anything within grabbing distance from the crib could become a nuisance, so keep that in mind.
@firsttimespartanmom Do you think you could put the pictures somewhere else in the room? I'm sure they'd be secure with the anchors and strips that @highsteaks mentioned, but also as she mentioned, anything within grabbing distance will become a HUGE pain when baby gets big enough to stand and grab. We tried to hang a bulletin board for artwork and pics next to DD's crib but she kept knocking it off the wall so we had to take it down
So this is what we ended up with! Sorry if it’s huge but I’m on mobile. We secured it with the max strength 3m strips, thank you to everyone who suggested those! I can hardly pull it off the wall so I’m not worried about baby being able to!
We finally got rid of our spare bedroom set and started on the nursery. I removed all the trim from the window, doors, and a chair rail. Time to update to white trim then paint!
My goal is to get all of the baby stuff done between last weekend and next weekend, so we can use the next month to do fun fall stuff (apple orchards, pumpkin patch, etc) with the girls before the baby comes! We might actually be mostly done after this weekend, though! DH made the canvases.
Sorry if the pics are huge...I’m always mobile and can never get the spoiler thing to work.
