I also posted over in the high risk check in so sorry for any of you who check in there too. Here is my update after appointment though..
Well yay! First off last night I was having very consistent and painful contractions. Like a minute long and two minutes apart for over an hour. I knew I had my appointment today though so I just pushed through and was able to sleep. Still had some this morning but not as consistent. Any way I get to my appointment, do my urine test and went to the room. My bp was 130 today and I am usually 110 ish. She doesn’t say anything but she is going to write that down. Cool. I love how they try to not alarm you but really it’s all they do! Then the dr comes in and tells me I had protein in my urine. I have no history of this in either of my two pregnancies so he says he’s not too worried and finds it weird. Usually it happens in your first, and can be common in your second if you have a different partner (which I do) and he thinks it’s super weird that it would come on in my second pregnancy with the same partner. He’s really hoping it’s a fluke week and again to not worry... yeah easier said than done! I go back Tuesday and am really hoping he is right about the fluke week. Dudes heart rate was 140. He said he’s measuring perfect but he could definitely feel a lot of activity while feeling me and I need to keep an eye on it and If I wasn’t already weekly he would make me weekly... here’s to hoping this guy plays nice, I need him to stay put for at least another 3 weeks if not more!!!
@lurvleybunchococonuts I would suggest sticking to mostly (if not all) protein that day before your appointment and avoiding carbs and sugar. And make sure you're hydrating throughout the day. I've only ever done mine in the morning but both times passed having had eggs, bacon, and water for breakfast.
I've only ever done mine in the morning, too, but I passed the first time having had a bacon, egg and cheese McMuffin (I don't remember what I had to drink, but I don't think it was water, just a small amount of whatever it was) and the second time having had scrambled eggs and water (that's all I drink this pregnancy, so it was the obvious choice).
I was actually told to fast this time, but that wasn't happening. I get hypoglycemic (super nauseous and dizzy) if I don't eat in the mornings (even when I'm not pregnant). I know it varies from practice to practice whether they want you to fast, but my understanding is that there's no need for it and you'll probably end up getting sick from consuming that much sugar on an empty stomach. I used my judgement and decided to eat breakfast but keep it protein-packed and low/no-carb and it worked out just fine.
I wouldn't go nuts trying to eat only protein, but I wouldn't eat anything sugary for a few hours before and try to avoid anything carb-heavy the whole day since your body breaks down carbs into sugars.
@MojieJo@lifesabeach85 thanks for the suggestions! I'll definitely try to keep the carbs to a minimum I'd rather do it in the AM but this is when they scheduled me. Seems kinda weird IMO but *shrug*

When is your appointment? Today! How far along will you be? 28+1 What is being addressed? 28 week and glucose test Questions/Comments/Concerns? Annoyed I was told to come an hour early, then I get here and they look at me like I'm crazy. Guess I could have come 15 min early. Cannot wait for the blood draw so I can eat! So hunrgy even though I had eggs about an hour ago.
Update: ughhhhh... Based on what my OB wants to see for a glucose result I failed, but based on the normal "range" on google I'm fine. They told me under 135. My result was 137. Google says anything under 140. I sooooo hope they just say 135 to be on the safe side. So get to look forward to hearing from my OBs office sometime next week about that Got my TDAP so my arm is super sore now. I kept accidentally sleeping on it last night Down a few more lbs which my OB was like hmm... Weird. Checked I eat enough (which yes, I eat all the time and MH makes sure I do lol) and shrugged. BP was good. Lulu was a good baby and didn't wiggle away from the doppler this time, 140bpm.

@lurvleybunchococonuts my arm is killng from the Tdap yesterday! I thought it would be like tho flu shot but nope.
Tommy kept squirming away each time the Dr had his heart rate locked in. Either we have a jokester or the sugar drink made it impossible for him to sit still. Gained 9 lbs this month (8 last month) for a total of 28 so far. My Dr is happy with the weight but I am seriously freaking out. Just starting third tri and already 28 lbs... How can the Dr be ok with that?!?
@lurvleybunchococonuts Oh no! Hopefully they'll let it slide and won't make you retest. My results on my patient portal said anything under 140 was passing. That is really weird about the weight loss too! Pregnancy does some crazy things to our bodies.
@ftm_jen@lurvleybunchococonuts My arm was no joke sore for a whole week after the tdap. It’s lame but it did go away. There really is a wide range of what’s normal when it comes to weight gain or even loss! You’re still glowing life giving goddesses!
Coconuts I hope your doctor doesn’t make you retest at those levels, but even if she does I believe that most women who fail the 1-hr go on to pass the 3hr with no issues.
Thanks guys. I hope they don't make me retest although obviously if I need to FX I pass. I felt so crappy after the test when we got home yesterday so I can't even begin to imagine how awful the 3hr test is.

I expected to, since I did last time with my twins but it's nice to have confirmation and have it out of the way.
