Re: Symptoms 8/24

  • @lest12 That’s how I felt a few weeks ago. My dad picked me up and took me to L&D. I was super dehydrated and it made my BP drop. I was really confused because I’d been drinking plenty of water. I hope you’re feeling better and you got some rest!!

  • My new symptom as of tonight: groin pain when I sit on the toilet. I legit feel like I’m being ripped apart at the crotch. Kind of like how I felt postpartum whenever I sat on the toilet.  :s

  • +1 for the extreme reflux :# I have been taking zantac for a while now and still continuing to eat tums throughout the day.  Still waking up most nights with choking/gagging and I'm sleeping propped up.

Also having sever pelvic pain that almost brings me to tears when I stand and try to walk.  It isn't constant but its more times than not.  I've tried a pregnancy belt but that doesn't seem to help.  Just waiting out these next 7 weeks.

The past week or so I've been having just some low, dull cramps. Basically feels like menstrual cramps. Feels like what I was experiencing in the beginning, so I'm chocking it up to "growing pains". It'll be constant for a while, then go away. It doesn't necessarily feel like a contraction and just down low. Just growth or overdoing it maybe? Or baby just being heavy?

ETA: It could also legitimately be because I need to poop...
  • @hannaht8516 drink some water?? Could be dehydration, I get crampy when I'm dehydrated
  • @jemmerjams I feel like I drink a ton of water, but I'm definitely trying to go for more.
  • @hannaht8516 that is exactly how I've been feeling the past two weeks. Some days it's worse than others. During a NST last Wed it was bad and the nurse said I was having back to back contractions for a few minutes, then nothing for 10 minutes. Said it was most likely Braxton hicks... so it could be BH you are feeling. I've learned from my NSTs that a lot of the time I don't feel specific BH contractions, instead I just feel an overall ache in my lower abdomen for hours on end.

Acid reflux, has woke me up in the middle of the night many times. Pelvic pain, I feel like I feel off a bills and onto the bar below at all points in time. Swelling hand, for the past 2 weeks or so my right hand had been swelling I haven't had any other swelling during my pregnancy, just one hand. Painful stretch marks, I honestly feel like I'm being torn in two in one specific area towards the top of my belly, nothing really seems to help, my belly band relieves it a bit, but the area is still very tender. Break outs, I've started to break out really bad.
  • @cagncoo12 That's one reason I'm looking forward to NSTs. I'm curious what my body is doing and if they can help me confirm my contractions.
  • @sammierose464 it is super interesting!

@jemmerjams & @hannaht8516 sorry didn't mean to say it was definitely contractions, everybody is different! Could definitely be dehydration! It's so crazy how much of an effect water has on cramps and contractions.
  • @cagncoo12 that's interesting though! I've been wondering if they could be BH, because I haven't THOUGHT I've felt any yet. But seems like all my friends that are due around the same time (there's oddly a lot of us) have been feeling them. So I was wondering that as well.
  • +1 for acid reflux. I had 2 glorious weeks of no pain while taking Prilosec. I went off for 4 days as the instructions say and it came back yesterday. Super =/  Guess it's back to the Tums/Zantac/Pepcid Complete options even though none last for very long.

My husband is also concerned about my breathing. He says I sound like I have some sleep apnea happening and I've been gasping for breath in my sleep. I recall waking myself up trying to get air because I couldn't breathe last night. So that's fun lol.

  • @hannaht8516 - I’ve also been having some period like cramps on and off over the past several days. I’m not sure if they are Braxton-Hicks? I don’t really feel any sort of tightening sensation so I’m not sure? They definitely remind me of period cramps, though.
  • @ladyofarlington Yeah, it hasn't felt like tightening at all. I'm really think it's growing and stretching, because I feel like I've popped even more in the last week or so. I'll keep track over the next few days and make sure they don't get any worse or anything. I have an appt on Friday so I can ask then.
  • If anyone is having hip or back pain, my suggestion in Chiropractor! I went with my first pregnancy all the way up to 38 weeks (had her at 39). Just went to an adjustment today and will try to squeeze 1-2 more in before delivery! I feel amazing and I really do think it helped with my first delivery. Hoping for an amazing repeat second vaginal delivery!

  • Well this one isn’t really a symptom but in a way it is because I am pregnant. I have only been able to wear sports bras for the past couple of months now, and lately with all the heat I have been sweating more (also a symptom). Long story short! I have what I think is a yeast infection under my boobs :( I will confirm with my OB next week if it is still there but dang I can’t find any relief. I have tried pads and baby powder and deodorant, nothing seems to help. I found some expired caneston in my medicine cabinet tonight hoping it will help with the burning.
  • @jandmnumber1 that sucks. It’s definitely possible to get candida (thrush/yeast) under your breasts. You can use a topical yeast cream like canesten or monistat.

  • Braxton Hicks for the first time! Didn’t have them last pregnancy. It’s strange.
  • Oh man, I hear you with the under boob sweat! Hopefully you can get something to treat that, I imagine it's uncomfortable. I wish in knew a good way to prevent it, I suppose it just needs to not be so dang hot all the time. The downfalls of being very pregnant in the hottest months.
  • @jwebbbber45678 it is the worst! Everyone keeps saying oh it’s good you are due in October and don’t have to be 9 months with crazy heat, well hell here we are 8 months and still dealing with the heat!! I have found that the canesten cream has done the trick and I started to use breast pads they are the perfect size to slip under the boob and bra line.
