Karen or Erin?

Hi,

We can't decide between Karen or Erin for our girl. We are not native English speakers so don't know if either has any bad/weird connotations?Please help. Which one sounds more charismatic?

    I like both names a lot and have no bad associations with either.

    Between the two - the name Erin makes me assume there is some Irish heritage in the family where I have no similar thoughts with the name Karen.

    being honest Karen is more of a mom name
    to be not quite ready for a comeback. Most memes/jokes right now which are poking fun of a middle aged white woman who is behind the times, or extra crabby, or anti change or anything like that uses the name Karen. So I have a hard time picturing a cute little kid. Similar to Karen is Kara, Kira, Kendra

    I vote Erin of the two though!

    Erin!  There are no bad associations with either that I know of, I just think Erin is a little fresher than Karen.

    Erin. Like someone else said, there are a lot of jokes about "Karen" right now.

    Karis, Kari/Carrie, Kara, Kelly, Lauren, Maren, or Ellen might also fit your style.

    Karen is unexpected. I would use Karen. 70's names are rounding the corner. We know 2 new Jessicas, a Kathy and a Julie. All are adorable and refreshing.

    Erin. Erin is a great name but I agree it might seem odd if there is no Irish heritage.

    There is a comedian Dane Cook who has a famous skit about how every group has a friend they don’t really like and how her name is always Karen.  Aside from feeling dated and mom-ish I think of that skit haha.
