@mermaidca I wear no make up, partly because I have super sensitive skin and partly because 15 extra min of sleep yo. Also my hair is short and straight and I do nothing with it. I would’ve flipped if my job told me that. Like your ass is getting sued suckers. Nobody would say that shit to a man.

@thatbaintforbetty totally!!! You're not going to tell a man his skin tone is not right. So rude. And you're appearance has no bearing on your job - well....I guess it depends what you do....? But unless you're a model or some shit you have no business telling anyone anything.

@kgil109@mermaidca, that's ridiculous. I totally second what @thatbaintforbetty said. I never wear makeup either and regardless of if you do or don't, it doesn't affect your work at all and shouldn't be something management even feels they have the right to comment on. Ugh.
@wearegroot, totally get you on the financial burden thing. DH works full time, right now I'm working barely 20 hours a week. It's definitely hard sometimes to feel like I'm even contributing. Still though, I say take the cruise because hello, it's Bermuda?! Telling your sister in person will be a nice bonus too.
@kangstadt yeah, just talked to DH, and he was like “don’t feel bad! You want to see your sister and she happens to be in Bermuda, it’s fine!” I still have to check what exactly her discount is to see if it’s doable.
(Also I was starting to look for jobs because I miss working, but now that I’m pregnant I’m not putting as much effort into the job search since I won’t be guaranteed FMLA because I won’t be there a year before needing to take maternity leave)
I know that you don’t “show” until around 12 weeks. But man, my stomach is definitely more rounded, and it’s not just bloat (though that happens too). It’s not hard like a real bump... it’s just more soft and round. So weird.
I cried because my husband came home from work and didn’t say hi to me, cried off all my makeup I had put on for work and had to re do it. He seemed terrified for his life as this might be the third time in ten years he’s seen me cry haha... I have a feeling this is just the beginning of the emotional roller coaster he’s about to witness ... (mind you he works overnights and probably worked about 15 hours that night so he was in full zombie mode.)
@jecrae I literally cried for the same reason last night!! I’ve always been sensitive and I’m very attached to our little evening routine. I want my “hi, I’m home” darn it!!!
@thatbaintforbetty California has a lot of "official" things. Did you know the official fabric is denim? I don't think it precludes Hawaii from claiming surfing either My favorite was when CA tried to declare an official nut (the almond), but the pistachio lobby got upset and then the walnuts. Now we have like 4 state nuts. haha.
