  • @Drove2u so exciting- positive thoughts your way
    @Chrysalis7 great news!!!

AFM I had my transfer today.  RE said it went beautifully!! Now for the two week wait.
  • @bpietronicco woohoo! Glad to hear it went beautifully!
  • @Momifbysea thanks!  I just got a call from my
nurse with my results from my progesterone check and have To add a second PIO shot. I so hope this works out.
  • @bpietronicco when do you do a progesterone check? Just curious as I only have the blood test on my lining check day. And that’s before I start PIO. I’m feeling like my clinic is missing something?
  • @bpietronicco Congrats! FX for you!
  • @Momifbysea they did bloodwork today right after my transfer to check my progesterone - I didn’t know they were going to do this until they did.
  • @bpietronicco - fx for you. The 2ww can be rough but hopefully you’ll do something to keep your mind occupied. Looking back, it goes quick, but it sure doesn’t feel like forever! Best wishes for you.

@Drove2u  - Exciting to find out the gender next week!! Are you hoping for a specific gender?

@leilee101  - been thinking of you and I hope you’re excited for the future possibilities. Your story will be amazing!

Everyone else: I’m reading the updates and praying for you all.

AFM: My hubby and I went to an adoption clinic on Monday. We’re praying about which way to move on that. Might go back to IVF and try donor egg. Either way, I have one last ultrasound next Friday (9/7). If they confirm blighted ovum I’ll take the meds that night. I’ll be at 10w1d then. Still hasn’t passed naturally. I’ve been super positive and hopeful about the future, but I fear its partly due to the fact I’m still hoping for a miracle. I’m a little anxious about next week... anyone been there?
  • @csands78 I'm still praying you'll have a miracle too.  It's always good to have a backup just in case, so that's great that you are exploring other options.  I know what you mean about not wanting to get your hopes up... my doc called me last Friday after he looked at my ultrasound.  He told me that I would probably miscarry over the weekend and if I did to just call the office.. I was like... I know you're trying to be realistic, but I showed progress this time so can't this talk wait until after my next ultrasound.. Geez!!  It's never easy to hear that kind of stuff.  I go back in tomorrow.  :#  Praying for a miracle but not expecting much at the same time.  Like you, the only good news is I have no symptoms of miscarriage.

@leilee101 How are you doing?  Are you going back in for another ultrasound soon?  Thinking about you and sending positive vibes your way!

Thanks so much for all the positive thought and vibes everyone. *tw* I went in for my D&C today, I started bleeding a bit over the weekend and final u/s Monday showed the heart had finally stopped. Waiting to miscarry sounds like a slow torture, I kept having anxiety that I would start gushing blood in the middle of a work day, so opted for the procedure. It wasn’t that bad and I feel ok now, having the last week or so to process things was helpful. I had ice cream for dinner tonight and that also was helpful. Hoping to transfer our last embryo whenever my hormones settle down and cycle resets, whenever that may be.

good luck tomorrow @kimberlyshae, and good luck Friday @csands78! Will be checking back here and hope to see some positive updates

    @bpietronicco good luck in TWW!!
  • @leilee101 thinking of you tonight and I’m so sorry for what you’ve had to go through. I’m hopeful for your next FET and glad you have a plan, at least that always helps me! Hugs!
  • I just got back from my appt and it didn't go well this time.  My yolk sac has increased in size (which the nurse said was bad) and the fetal pole hasn't grown anymore (still no heartbeat).  It's not looking good.  I'm still going to wait at least until week 10 before doing a d&c.  I'm currently 8+5 today  I just don't understand it.  I'm going to Tampa this weekend for the long holiday, so that will help some with getting my mind off of everything.

  • @kimberlyshae - Sorry to hear the results today. I actually live in Tampa and will be working all weekend so let me know if you wanna grab coffee (decaf, lol) or something. Of course, that wouldn’t help for taking your mind off things so I totally get it if that doesn’t sound fun ;)
I hope the weather cooperates for you and you’re able to have a nice weekend.

@leilee101 - My friend just did her D&C last Tuesday. She was also super anxious leading up to it, but said she felt a sense of closure after and is finally able to move forward. I’m anxious as well and looking forward to that closure if there’s not a miracle on my horizon this time. I hope you’re doing well emotionally today. Don’t rush. It’s ok for us to mourn. You’re body should reset pretty quickly and I pray you're ready for that next FET soon. Your story is still being written though :)  I’m sending love and prayers your way.
  • @leilee101 @kimberlyshae (((hugs))) thinking of you girls!! So sorry you guys are having to go thru all of this. My heart goes out to you both.

  • I'm so sorry to read your update. I wish we could understand so much of this, it is really really hard. I hope that you can get some relief/distraction in Tampa.
  • @kimberlyshae so sorry to see your update. I hope you enjoy a nice relaxing weekend and can find some time for yourself

@csands78 yes, definitely a sense of closure. I am doing much better today than I was doing last week, I think the finality of the procedure had a lot to do with that emotional healing. **TW** I think just knowing I was carrying around a baby that was no longer alive was too much of a mind f*** for me to begin my grieving process, now I feel like I am able to start that process without the anxiety end TW***

i hope to be on October FET board, maybe November. Tying to look forward to just enjoying the upcoming fall season (my favorite by far) and to try to take my mind off TTC for a month or so

@leilee101 I'm sorry you had to go through this.  I went through it too in Jan and felt similarly to what you wrote about the process.  It's heartbreaking and unfair especially after all we have been through.  But I'm glad you have another opportunity to try again and I am sure you will know when the time is right.
@kimberlyshae I am sorry your appointment did not go well today.  Thinking of you.
  • @kimberlyshae I'm so sorry your appointment was not good news.  Take care of yourself and try to relax this weekend.

@leilee101 I'm relieved you're able to start the grieving process without the anxiety.  Taking a little time off can be very therapeutic.  I'm with you on the bench through the fall season.

  • @kimberlyshae- I am sorry you did not get better news.  I hope you have a very distracting weekend!

@leilee101- I am so very sorry you had to go through this.   :'(
  • @csands78 hey girl just want to check in, have been thinking about you
  • Hello everyone- I thought I would stop in here and give an update since I started on this board before my FET was moved to August

Beta 1 7.5dp5dt HCG 25.   Still very early but trying to stay hopeful that it rises appropriately.

  • @bpietronicco - hey there! Best of luck to you. Fingers crossed your next BETA will be good news!!

@leilee101 - thanks so much for thinking of me. I’ve been thinking of you also and hope you’re working through this well.

@kimberlyshae  - hope all is well with you and Tampa gave you a nice break. Keeping you in thought.

AFM - Today was a tough day and most likely gonna get harder. Dr confirmed no development today and the gestational sac is beginning to become disorganized. They sent me home with Misoprostol to induce the miscarriage which should begin here in the next 4-6 hours. Yee-haw! I have to take a 2nd dose tomorrow and come back in a week to make sure everything cleared.
I loaded up on maxis, popcorn and ice cream on the way home. The guy at the store said that looked like a party and asked if I was gonna polish off the gallon of ice cream all to tonight. I told him that sounded like a challenge so I might, LOL! I was so nervous taking this first dose and really scared this is gonna be painful. My hubby and I are hunkered in for the night tho and just trying to stay positive. Here goes nothin!! Thanks for all the support everyone. We’re super hopeful for the future and I’m ready to move forward...after a ton of ice cream :)

  • Update: So last night and tonight hasn’t been nearly as bad as I was anticipating, both physically and emotionally. Leaving the hospital yesterday was actually the worst part. I’m looking forward to finally moving towards the next step in our journey. Thanks for your prayers, support, strength, etc... You all are wonderful!! Prayers and love to everyone going through a rough step in their journey right now.
  • @csands78 - I really love that you stopped to load up on ice cream and popcorn. I'd like to think that that played a part in these two days not being as bad as you anticipated!

Congratulations on getting through what was (hopefully) the hardest part of this cycle. Looking forward to the future is a good place to be.

So, did you eat all of the ice cream?

Hi ladies, so I went in on Friday for my 9w6d ultrasound and the yolk sac and fetal pole were completely gone. I was prepared for the news since I didn't have any development last week. So, I went in for a D&C today. It was quick and painless. They are doing genetic testing on the tissue and my bloodwork to see if they can find out why I miscarried. It will take 2 weeks to get the results back. Hopefully it was just bad luck and nothing is wrong. I just want to thank you all for your support and hope to hear successful results for all of us in the future. I think I will be on the October FET board soon.

@leilee101 and @csands78 I feel like I am in a better mindset now and ready to move forward. I hope you both feel the same way. Looking forward to positive results for us in the near future! (Hugs!!)

Even though it won't change things, it will give you some answers and a peach of mind moving forward. I know I'm not around like before, but always here if you need anything or someone to talk to. <3

  • So sorry @kimberlyshae. I know not what you were hoping for. Here for support if you need.
  • @kimberlyshae I am so sorry. I hope it gives you peace of mind to know you gave it every possible chance. Im sure you know a lot of us have been in your position and it’s hard no question and we are here for you. But I’m glad you have another opportunity to transfer soon. FX this will be the one!
  • @kimberlyshae - sorry to see your update but I’m glad all went well Monday. I took the misoprostol Friday in leu of D&C and I’m wondering if that was the right call. The weekend wasn’t terrible but then I had pretty bad cramping and “other stuff” for several days after. It’s finally beginning to subside now. I’m sure this has been a tough week emotionally for you. I’m super excited you’ll have another chance to transer soon though!! It’s back to the drawing board for us unfortunately as this was our only normal embryo.  Best of luck to you!! I hope your next transfer is your blessing :)
  • @csands78 so sorry to see your update .. i sent you a pm a little ago but want you to know I am thinking of you

@kimberlyshae so sorry to hear your update as well.. I already hopped on the October FET page even though not 100% sure it’ll be that months hope to see you there or November!
