@VallieS86 I’m so sorry about your DH’s accident and stress. Insurance won’t help with getting a new car?
They gave us a check for the value of his car, but we already have one car payment and weren't planning on having the financial burden of 2 car paymentd, plus his student loans, plus our mortgage and daycare for our daughter , adding in daycare in a bit more than 7 months for our bundle on the way. We just don't like having a tight budget.
@VallieS86 So sorry to hear about the accident, but glad your DH is ok. Would the check cover the balance on your current car loan? If so, could you use it to pay off the current loan, then take out a new loan, so in the end you'd still have 1 car payment?
@UnbreakableKimmySchmidt did you say cake? That's the best thing I've read all day! What a nice perk. But why only to FTMs?
I call it a neener. I do explain the correct terminology to DS. He's three, though. For the boy moms who have their sons potty trained, you know what happens when they push to go to the bathroom. The other day my son was on the potty and he yells for me to come into the bathroom and when I did, he proceeded to tell me the following: "Mommy, I have a huge neener!" As he was grabbing it. I started laughing so hard I'm sure I leaked.
@CoastieGirl79 oh a Mom friend and I were just speculating that it only goes to FTM since she didn’t get a cake at the hospital when she had her second. It was from a local bakery so they may not even do it anymore. It was such a good cake though! DH said he will go to Costco (next door to our hospital) and buy me a giant cake after giving birth.
we find out tomorrow boy or girl! Nervous for a boy as girl is all I know...excited to find out!!!
@kns1988- totally agree about the pockets, same with maternity shorts.
@kaf1788- sorry your dh can't go with you. We ran into scheduling conflicts too and I ended up going to mine alone. Luckily everything went better than I expected so hoping all the best to you.
My WTF is that DD1 started kindergarten 2 weeks ago and now i get a letter sent home saying that they are moving her to a different class due to increased attendance. Ugh, do they not know the anxiety of having to have a first day of school all over again?! Also, I love her teacher now so im pretty miffed about the whole situation.
So if they have had more kids move in, put them where there is room; don’t make your k D change! I would call the school and request she stay with the same teacher she already started with.
@libertymomrn I know! I wrote the principal how I thought it was super disruptive and asked to keep her in the same class. She gave me some BS answer which basically said no.. sorry not sorry. It is super annoying and I found out yesterday she is the only one switching from her class. It is frustrating too because there are still kids joining and they should be the ones moving. I am going in with her this morning for her new class orientation, i hope it goes well because I am annoyed already that we have to do this again.
On the talk of what to call things, my 8 year old asked how a baby comes out and I told him the birth canal. He was like, okay, cool. And that was the end of it.
My sister is big into using penis and vagina. Her two year old will ask you to wipe her vagina for her and it bothers me. If you’re going to teach her, do it right. The vagina is not the only part of female anatomy. And at this point, the child thinks she pees out of her vagina.
