@J1006 what state are you in? Just curious. I have a coworker who is also interested in adoption. Good info to have.
afm, went in for lining check this morning and of course my veins didn’t want to cooperate. I got stuck in both arms, no blood. Then the nurse decided to use the regular needle in the hand. Finally got blood after digging in the arms and a regular size needle in the hand. Then for my ultrasound the nurse said I have fluid in my lining. So I won’t be having my transfer on the 23rd. She said to keep my meds the same until I hear from her or the RE after my labs come back. She said probably another week on estrace Lupron and possibly add in vaginal estrogen. Another lining check and hopefully the fluid clears up. That will put my transfer back another week... hopefully! So that’s nice on top of the fact that I’m super nervous about this being my last embryo.
Hey guys.. Just wanted to give you a quick update with not so good news. We are absolutely beside ourselves and have already made an appointment with another fertility clinic because we seem to be on different pages with our current one. Its an extremely long story but they pretty much told us we couldn't do our FET.... I couldn't get an appointment with my doctor at my current clinic till Sept 14th HOWEVER, I am being proactive and made an appointment with another clinic to potentially move our embryos, that appointment is on Aug 27th. After many tears and no answers from my current clinic because my doctor is on vacation I just can't believe they would leave me in limbo like this after all the waiting I have done already. Hoping to have some answers in the next few weeks. Thank you all for listening.
I want to wish all of you the absolute best this cycle.
ugh @ndz2018 I am so sorry to hear that you're having a crappy experience with your clinic. so many creepy internet hugs . Glad that you're being proactive and your own advocate in all this! Best of luck!!

Checking back in... I had my final lining check on Tuesday but my RE would like my lining to get a little thicker. I'm not really surprised as this is our 2nd FET and RE had said from the beginning she wanted to get my lining thicker this time around. So I'm going in for another check on Friday and just sticking with Lupron and the patches for a few more days. Right now our transfer is now going to be on 8/23. Anyone having a transfer around then? I feel like there have been a lot of early month transfer on this board!
@ndz2018 I'm so sorry you're going through this! It must be incredibly frustrating! Wishing you better luck with the new clinic!
Congrats to all the ladies with the incredible betas! Send some good vibes this way! After a lot of thought, we decided to transfer one embryo tomorrow at 8am!

Hi girls. I just need to vent and see if anyone has had something similar happen (either parts of this) I just had the worst transfer...so, I have 4 embryos and ccs tested them at my old re. One of them was indeterminate but they said they're all hatching (grade 6). So, we picked one to transfer #12) that was hatched and 6Bb grade. I get into the room today and they go "well we have some interesting news...your old clinic mislabeled the embryos bc embryo 12 is not hatched and looks like a bc (not the bb it was supposed to be ) and they're not sure if it's the non pgs tested one. So I'm upset but decide to transfer anyway because I've come this far. Then, it looks like ok were in...embryologist comes back in the room and says "embryo didnt want to leave the tube " . After a few tries they finally got it out to transfer (i was told his happens in <5%). I'm just so upset and frustrated and worried that we may have transferred a genetically not normal, bad looking embryo :-( Amypme been through either the mis labeling when moving between clinics or the stubborn embryo that didnt leave the tube?

@MSU_Girl1202 I’m so sorry that it was not a smooth, relaxing transfer. I don’t have any experience, but wanted to say that they checked the tube after my transfer to make sure the embryo didn’t stick and my RE made it sound like it happens all the time!

@MSU_Girl1202 I am so so sorry it went like that. I am sorry you had so many problems with the old clinic. I really hope this goes easier for you. Hugs!
@ndz2018 so sorry to hear this- after going through so much and finally thinking you are there and then be hit with yet another obstacle. Hopefully the new clinic will be much better.
@MSU_Girl1202 my RE have them check the tube because they say it happens sometimes, but warned me it was nbd if it did happen. @kristimh80 didn't you mention this happened to you last transfer?

@laurengon82 sorry to hear about the delay in your transfer... they're not having you start PIO yet, right? i can imagine the last minute wrench only adds to the stress related to the last embryo. what state are you in (or what amazing insurance do you have) that covers IVF? very jealous!
@j1006 wow, that is a lot to process re: adoption costs and possible drawbacks of the process + length of time it takes. I had some idea based on a friend who'd researched it here in Nevada, but hadn't gotten estimated costs/time it takes. that just makes me more infuriated when some people's responses have been -- "well you can always adopt".
@ndz2018 omg, you can't catch a break!!! i'm sorry that whatever happened, happened. i hope you can get some answers with the new clinic and feel like you're able to move forward with a plan. (((hugs)))
@MSU_Girl1202 so sorry to hear that your transfer didn't go as smoothly as it should have. i don't have experience with transfering embryos between clinics, but i have heard that the initial grading is what it was when frozen... so when they thaw the embryo for transfer, it goes back to growing and could get a different grading by the time transfer happens. I had a 4BA i was told would be transferred, and it had progressed to 6BB by transfer. in fact, both of my initially "well graded" embryos have been MMCs, so i'm tempted to say put in the less well graded ones. In my first IVF group, a woman got pregant with a less well graded one. It's really a crapshoot! Try to enjoy your PUPO status for a few days before POAS madness begins!
@MSU_Girl1202 I agree with above. I froze an expanded blast and when it thawed it didn’t fluff back up right away. So it was a 4 when we froze it and a 3 when we transferred. Presumably if we had let it grow for a few hours, it would have gone back up to an expanded blast.
Unfortunately, this transfer ended in a CP. This was our last embryo and I'm so heartbroken. I will be taking some much needed time off to help my mind, body, and soul heal. It's been a long 5 years of TTC and still have no baby to show for it. Infertility ("unexplained infertility") really sucks butt. Maybe I'll grow the courage to do this process all over again in a few months, but right now I just can't. I'm taking break, but not giving up hope.
I'm truly happy for all the ladies here who have been blessed with a BFP, you give me hope. FX for those with scheduled transfers in the next couple of weeks.
Hi all!!! New to this group.. checking in late but we are doing a fet on 8/23. Little back info.. we did ivf in 2016 due to mfi. Had 10 embryos done w icsi 6 made it. Transferred 2 fresh day 3 and resulted in our 17 month old sweet baby boy! We have 4 remaining and are transferring 2 on 8/23. Im 39 & hubby 41. Best wishes to everyone!!!
@MSU_Girl1202 In my last transfer the embryo got stuck on the first try, but it was transferred on the second try. I think it's fairly common and that's why they check. I didn't take valium that round, but after that experience I'm going to do it this time.
@heidis1 Welcome! If all goes well for me tomorrow our transfers will be the same day. I'm probably not going to do any HPTs.
@sbjbrn I am so sorry! Hopefully you will feel up to doing another round of IVF once you get to take some time off. I’m on my last embryo also. I would love to be able to take time off if it does not work, but unfortunately I will need to hurry up and do another retrieval before my deductible resets at the end of the year.
@northbeach3 thank you. I live in Indiana, but work in Illinois. I have blue cross blue shield of Illinois for insurance. We are bargaining for a new contact currently. I really hope my insurance stays the same!
@mandapanda1421 Thankyou for the welcome! Good luck tomorrow, i also have to go in tomorrow for bloodwork. Fx all goes well and we can keep the same transfer dates. I also will prob not do a hpt. Didnt last time either.
*lurking* @sbjbrn I am so so sorry. I know how much this hurts, and you're right 'unexplained' really does suck. Take good care of yourself, never forget how trying and traumatic all this has been on your system - physically and emotionally. Take some time away from it all and see how you feel in a few months. You need and deserve time to heal, so please do be kind to yourself for a while xx

@sbjbrn I am so sorry, I hope you do try again though...my last two FETs failed and it was rough, IF is beyond unfair.
@MSU_Girl1202 As the other ladies have said, it is very common for the embryo to get stuck but there is NO excuse for the mislabeling. I would look into recourse on that...negligence in unacceptable with the amount of time and money and emotion we put into this!
AFM, Today I am 5.5 days past transfer. I've been trying to stay away from my computer so I stop googling symptoms etc. I felt completely fine all wk, and then yesterday I felt terrible. No real symptoms, just felt like crap. I decided to test this morning since I have a wedding later today...eek.
It came up right away, its hard to get too excited since my May FET was a chemical, my beta is not until Thursday. Fx!
@mandapapanda1421 hope your appt went well yesterday. Afm my blood work came back that we still r on schedule for the 23rd. Hope everyone has a relaxing restful weekend!
@lemondrop1976 Honestly, I felt completely normal up until yesterday...not even swollen boobs, nothing at all. Then, yesterday I just felt really hot and had a scratchy throat...just overall gross, like I was getting sick. I assumed it had to do with the steroids and lovenox.
@sbjbrn I'm sorry about the CP. I didn't know if I had another round of IVF in me either, but after a few months off I felt ready. Take the time you need. IF can be all consuming.
Thank you @sungirl39, it's comforting to compare notes, GL and keep me posted!
Has anyone taken their basal temperature during 2ww? It's my way of kinda cheating and testing early but has been driving me crazy as soon as it dips. I had to temp for 2yrs with my previous RE so I know a lot about it unfortunately .....but not so much with IVF.
TW - does anyone know anything about getting pregnant with taking Lupron for FET? As I said previously Estrace didn't work to suppress ovulating but RE didnt tell us to practice safe sex so here I am pregnant and have been taking Lupron shots for a week. We have been through so much the past few months with IVF and our history of natural pregnancies hasn't gone well. I am freaking out right now and not in a good way.

Try to enjoy your PUPO status for a few days before POAS madness begins!
dx: PCOS, low progesterone; 2 MMC

@northbeach3 thank you. I live in Indiana, but work in Illinois. I have blue cross blue shield of Illinois for insurance. We are bargaining for a new contact currently. I really hope my insurance stays the same!
@sbjbrn I am so so sorry.

@laurengon82 I hadn't even thought about deductibles! I guess IVF #2 will be in the works for us by the end of 2018 after all lol.
Have a great weekend ladies.

@sungirl39 Looks good! FX for you.
Has anyone taken their basal temperature during 2ww? It's my way of kinda cheating and testing early but has been driving me crazy as soon as it dips. I had to temp for 2yrs with my previous RE so I know a lot about it unfortunately .....but not so much with IVF.
