@kangstadt I know, the experienced doulas can be expensive! Another option is to see if you can connect with any new student doulas in your community, they may not have the experience but they likely have the knowledge and heart :-) (and will sometimes attend your birth for $50-$200)
@molecularmolly, thanks for the tip! A doula friend just sent me the number of a new doula in my area, so I'm hoping she may be a little less expensive. My friend is booked up unfortunately. Another question, do you find a lot of pregnant women are uncomfortable with having the doula there? I'm a fairly private person, and not sure how I'll feel about a fairly brief acquaintance being there for all the nitty gritty, but I like the idea of someone there to support my birth wishes and help me focus.
Hi everyone my EDD is April 2nd, this is baby number 4 for me and hubby . Found out about 3 weeks ago, tested early and definitely got my bfb ! Can't wait to get to know you ladys
Hi ladies I’m so excited to join the April mums! I teach middle school, so I’m really nervous about the first trimester (morning sickness and fatigue mostly) but so far so good
This is my first pregnancy and EDD is 4/18! Sending love and baby dust to you all!!
Hi Ladies, I'm excited to join. First time pregnancy, first time mama, EDD 4/16. The only people I've told are my hubby and my therapist, so it will be nice to have some community to share this exciting journey with!
Set up my first Dr. Appt for Sept 28 today, so far away!!
Hi! I just found out that I'm pregnant again and feeling cautiously excited after going through a misscarriage earlier this year. This will be our first baby and me and my husband are longing to have another little life in our lives. I'm 33 and got diagnosed with PCO this fall, so had a bit of a struggle getting pregnant until I got put on hormone treatments which seems to have worked well and quite quickly. Now I'm really hoping it will go all the way this time! Expected due date April 19th. Oh and I'm Swedish (living in Sweden) but my husband is Canadian from Toronto, so we spend a lot of time there too. Excited to get to know the rest of you guys!
Hi! I got my bfp a couple weeks ago and I'm now 5.5 weeks! My husband and I both have a child from a previous relationship and this is something we've been planning for a while since we got married. We are super excited!!! It's crazy because I'm starting all over since I was last pregnant as a teenager.
Just got my BFP this morning! I'm still kinda in shock, we have been trying but i had a possible CP last month. Didn't expect to be back on the boards so soon but i haven't been feeling well and thought i'd rule out being KU. Jokes on me i guess!
Due date based on LMP is 4/23/2019, the day after our anniversary.
We have one super crazy 4 year old who is going to go bananas when she finds out and DH has a 13 year old from a previous relationship that lives with her mom in another state.

I'm Natalie, will be 36 next month and got a BFP late last week. *TW* I had a loss at the end of June, so was very shocked to have conceived before having a regular cycle *end TW*. Had betas drawn and numbers look good. Have my first appointment next week and then I'll feel like I can breath again.
H and I have been married for 2 years and we just celebrated DS's first birthday in July. LOs will be ~21ish months apart.
EDD is April 2 but will likely go early due to RCS. Hoping for TOLAC/VBAC if I go into labor naturally (which I did with DS).
Hi! Just got a bfp for baby #4. My husband's and have been married already 13 years and we have a 9 y.o., 6 y.o. and 14 month old. This one was a bit of a surprise and I'm freaking out a little bit at the idea of 4... EDD is April 24. Just waiting for the shock to wear off. I'm a little nervous about telling everyone, especially my work, because as @Habrsk87 said, not everyone is kind about bigger families. Congrats to everyone here so far.
Hi ladies! I found out I’m pregnant after a long 6 years, (and a few losses) with no luck, last Sunday. Elated doesn’t begin to describe it! Based on LMP, I am due April 12, but I’m almost confident the dates are a bit off and I’m earlier than that by about 4 days.
My first ultrasound is scheduled for Friday 8/17, and trying not to get my hopes up too much as I know its so early! I’ve had 3 beta draws and numbers are doubling perfectly just under 48 hours.
So so excited but also nervous for this journey!

Hello! EDD for us is April 1. It will be our first and we are so excited! Nausea has really been getting me down this week and I've lost a little weight but aside from that we are doing well! We had an early ultrasound at what ended up being 5w1d because of my irregularity but we have another scheduled on Friday (7w4d)! So excited to get there!!
I am cautiously posting and coming out of lurker status.
I am 4w3d with an EDD of 4/20. My full history is in my siggy. Our first beta on Monday was 649 which is super high but not totally unexpected since I was getting clear lines on wondfos since 5dp6dt.
This is our first and honestly don't know if the anxiety will ever subside - I suppose it'll have to eventually!
Excited to be joining you all!

Hi! I'm due 4/21 with my first. We found out super early and the anxiety going through this first trimester is really tough! I'm just staying positive and hoping to get some added support from this community.
Hi ladies! im 38 (will partake in the old ladies thread) and was excited to find out last week that I’m due April 19th. I have an almost three year old girl. *****tw**** over the past year and a bit I’ve had two missed miscarriages and one chemical pregnancy, so desperately hoping this one sticks!
Hi! My EDD is 4/27. It's rough being an end of the month-er, but I'm so excited to join! This will be baby #3. I have a 4-year-old son and 2-year-old daughter. Congrats to you all!

Hey ya'll! My name is Christine, ( until i figure out how to change my screenname) and I'm a first-timer here for pregnancy and as a participant of a board by choice that wasn't education related ha. I'm excited to see what's what here!
I did an ovulation test July 18th on a hunch, and tested PEAK fertility (day after husband and I did the deed). Tested on July 29th and got a BFP. Therefore, I *think* my EDD is April 10th, but I'm going to my first prenatal appointment in about an hour---so hoping to get a more accurate estimate of my EDD.
So far, so good with this app and community. It's nice to ask questions or share experiences. I definitely have a million questions running through my head not really knowing what to expect. At any rate, looking forward to being here with you ladies! Congrats to everyone!
*****UPDATE****** So had my first appointment to "confirm" my pregnancy, and doc said, "Oh yeah, it looks like you're about 4 to 6 weeks along."
Hi! Got faint lines on FRER over the past weekend, but then a BFP on a digi FR test on Monday! EDD based on LMP is 4/24.This news comes a week before my bday and 2 weeks before my 1 year wedding anniversary. DH and I will be first-time parents, so we're excited (and a little nervous). Hoping for the best with this pregnancy.
Hi everyone! I'm Due April 17th! We found out August 6th. This will be the first pregnancy and child for my husband and I. It follows a surgery to remove my uterine septum at the beginning of February and being on clomid for a cycle after it was determined I also wasn't ovulating normally. Everything looks great so far, I've been in for two hcg tests and have a 6 week ultrasound sound appointment scheduled for Aug 27th. Congratulations everyone!
Hi there! I got my BFP a few weeks ago, EDD is April 2nd. I'm so happy to be pregnant, but nervous since I had a mc a few months ago. I have a boy of 13 and this is my first baby with my new partner. I had an early ultrasound last week and we saw the heartbeat, so I am starting to believe this is really happening! Still nervous at every little twinge and decided finding other women in similar situation would be helpful. Nice to meet you all!
Hi everyone! I'm due April 12 with my first baby at age 38! I feel like I've waited SO long for this that I'm super paranoid!! My husband has 5 older kids and I'm so grateful that when we met he was willing to go for 1 more. He had a vasectomy many years ago so we went straight to IVF. Got prego on the first try, so I'm just crossing my fingers that things go smoothly. Oh, and I am so not up to date on all these acronyms! The only one I get is EDD. Can anyone educate me? lol.
Hi all! EDD of April 24th apparently. I have a son who is 2. This pregnancy is kind of nerve wracking for me after a loss earlier this year, but I feel more hopeful than I did last time. Looking forward to being part of another BMB!
Hi! I'm due 4/4/19. Haven't been to the doctor yet but our first visit is on 8/27. Let's see how off I am, haha! This is our first and the morning sickness at almost 7 weeks sucks! Already excited for the first trimester to be over with!
@MRDCle I was in F15 on the bump! We all moved over to Facebook, there's a group of about 35 of us now! We actually just had about 10 of us meet up for a moms weekend
Looks like I’m due April 24. This will be our 3rd. Two boys, 4 and 1.5. VERY nervous about 3 kids! Any advise is welcomed. New to this type of community.
