*lurking" @megmac2010 It would definitely be worth asking about or seeing if you can do PIO. When doing shots, it goes right into your system. I know my RE prefers PIO over suppositories or the pill form. Plus, usually insurance will cover it so can be less costly.

@kristimh80 My clinic almost never prescribes PIO! They do the same orders for everyone: 200mg vaginally 3x/day. I asked my nurse if I should be on more and she didn't understand what I was asking. It's my biggest pet peeve about my clinic. The nurses just check off the boxes!
Hi everyone! I got the call. I am supposed to be there at 11 am on Tuesday, 7/31. This is my first FET, I am so afraid of the success rate. We transferred 2 when we did IVF and we lost one at 8 weeks. So I am so afraid that if I do just the 1 (which we are) that it will not take. I am just ready to ad to the family. I love my clinic but I don't ever want to have to do this again!
Hi Rebel! FET has pretty good success rates (around 60%) AND its less stressful on your body. Keep your head in a good place and think positive thoughts!! Baby dust to you and prayers for a successful FET tomorrow!

@Rebelfirecpl don’t stress. Everything will be fine tomorrow! I hear you though with being anxious about the results. I’m transferring my last embryo this time so pressure is on. My RE even said that we were putting a lot of pressure on her. I believe there are some solid studies that have found that success rates don’t really differ when transferring one vs two. GL tomorrow!!
Hi August board... i'd been keeping up with your board b/c I thought I'd get to start my third transfer this month *TW* after my second miscarriage from MAY FET (see spoiler for history */TW*). I had my WTF appointment last week and my RE wants me to take an additional month off, so I won't start meds til end of August for late Sept transfer. I just know so many of you from past IVF/FET months, so I wanted to more fully participate to cheer you on until the September FET board picks up.
@bpietronicco i'm so glad you got more information from the ERA about your progesterone levels. it seems like many ladies are having issues with having their clinics grant them.
have a good transfer day @Rebelfirecpl! there's not much to it, but take it easy afterwards! There's plenty to binge on netflix! Orange is the New Black just posted a new season! There's a bunch of fun baking shows, too -- recommend Nailed It! for some funny bakery fails.
(((waves))) to @j1006, @sungirl39, @ndz2018 -- i know how much y'all have been through... hoping this is your month!
AFM, I convinced my RE to do the thrombophilia panel for blood clotting issues, but nada. seems like I just have bad eggs. (WAAAH) RE wants to keep transferring my 4 remaining untested embryos until we get to one that works (uuuuuuugh). and i turn 37 on saturday.... (double ugh). okay, i'll stop whining!
I will be having my fet on Aug 3rd. This will be my 4th FET since my ERA biopsy in September 2017. All of the previous ones ended up being chemical pregnancies. I am hoping this cycle is the lucky one
@megmac2010 I also have lining issue. My Dr checked my E2 and progesterone levels at my lining check appointment and based on that they took me down from 6 patches to 4 when I started the progesterone suppositories. I don't know what the ratio should be but see if they check your blood before you start progesterone or ask if they can if you are concerned. Never hurts to ask!
@bpietronicco So glad you got some answers with your ERA. I am also pre-receptive and take 6 days of Progesterone instead of 5. I did get a BFP my first cycle, so I am def a believer in the ERA results. Now you know you will be transferring on the right day for your body, so that is one thing you don't have to worry about!

It doesn’t matter how many transfers I have, I will never get the hang of timing a full bladder. Last time it wasn’t full enough. Today I just had to pee because I was bursting and my transfer is still almost 2 hours away!
*lurking @megmac2010 I don't even start drinking water before transfer until like 30 mins before getting to the office. Because if they give you valium while there you'll still be waiting another 30 - 45 mins til transfer time. Best of luck today!!

@J1006 I had no idea you couldn’t just throw extra meds away so that’s what I’ve been doing. Whoops! I have like 3 full sharps containers I have no idea what to do with either. I figure one of these days I’ll have time to call the town and see what they say.
AFM, baseline this morning and everything looks good. Got the go ahead to start estrogen pills and patch then back on the 15th for lining check.
@megmac2010 Happy transfer day! You will do great! I was the same way. At my trial transfer I didn’t drink enough so for my first FET I was determined not to have to sit around drinking water and waiting. Well I drank a little too much and they make me pee for 5 seconds twice! But the nurse did say it was easier to do that then have to drink more. Hopefully this time I’ll find the right balance.
@laurengon82 Maybe I can just throw them away. I was told to just throw the empty gonal-f pens away even though they still had a little bit in them. I just feel weird throwing basically a full vial of meds in the garbage. As for the sharps, my hospital ER will take them as well as some grocery store pharmacies. In my area, the Pick-n-Save pharmacies take them.
@J1006 I had the SAME thing happen at my trial transfer. It's easier to stop going than I thought it would be . I am looking forward to the full bladder tomorrow!

@laurengon82@J1006 My RE nurse said that typically you can take the contents of the sharp container put them in a tide detergent bottle and duct tape the top and put it out with the recycling. @knottienj lol good to know. My dad usually uses an old coffee canister and like you said duct tapes all around it so the lid can’t come off. It goes out either with recycling or garbage. Not sure which.
So I did another PIO last night. We will probably be switching to daily PIO. I did the shot and put a heating pad on it and a massager that vibrates. Left it about 5 minutes. I am not sorry at all this morning!
