Re: August 2018 FET

  • @MSU_Girl1202  I also have had a little light spotting while on BCP this past month; I had a CP in May, I assumed it had to do with that?  Not sure though..didn't think much about it and didn't mention it to RE.  I had a baseline ultrasound yesterday and everything looked ok, just waiting for my period to start now.

  • In car with in-laws headed to vacation. Forgot my binder / calendar but I know that I start my injections on Aug 11th and will do my first retrieval etc.  haven’t had a chance to read through this thread yet but glad some people may be on a similar schedule.

    p.s. this birth control makes me a complete idiot. I am on constant cloud 50

  • Oh and that photo of me is very old, I’ve gained like 20 pounds since I started Clomid in Dec!
  • @fertilizemeplease Hi there! I started an August IVF board for you guys doing retrievals in August. This board is for Frozen Embryo Transfers, but the IVF board will be good to chat with others going thru the same process as yourself. July IVF board is pretty active, so maybe helpful as well :)

  • @ndz2018 Glad to know I'm not the only one! I didn't even miss a pill...have taken them religiously at the same time each night and still spotting today! I talked to the nurse today who said they're gonna continue my birth control till the 31st and hopefully i'll still have a period then.
    @sungirl39 I think if I had to guess, Id think this was from having such a good lining my last *failed* cycle too. Here's hoping to better luck this time around!

    Had my consult today for this cycle. Getting *another* hysteroscopy next Thursday to see if the scar tissue he cut out in May is back, and then transfer tentatively planned for August 16th (If I get my period when I'm supposed to). Now the big question is how many embryos to transfer...What are you ladies doing? I have one BB and a couple AAs and he recommended transferring a 6BB with an 6AA embryo. I'd love for it to work, but I'm a very small person (5ft tall) so I can't imagine carrying twins!

    Married 07/2006, TTC since 2010
    08/2011: Clomid 50mg, IUI --> BFN  ,
    10/2011: Clomid 100mg, IUI --> BFN

    04/13: Clomid, IUI BFP --> MC at 6w1d
    05/13: Femara 2.5mg, IUI --> BFN  , 08/13: Femara 2.5mg --> BFN
    03/14: Femara 5mg, IUI --> 1 follicle @ 27d --> BFP! EDD 12/02/14--> blighted ovum, missed MC 6w6d --> D&C
    4/23: D&C...starting over again, with a little part of my heart broken off
    5/31: Femara 7.5mg --> cancelled cycle, no follies
    7/14: Femara 5mg + brevelle + menopur + IUI --> converted to IVF, ER 7/28 --> ET cancelled due to severe OHSS.
    9/20/14:  Frozen Embryo Transfer --> BFP--> EDD 6/6/15 --> MC at 5w3d

    10/16/14: Frozen Embryo Transfer --> BFN
    2/6/15: Frozen Embryo Transfer --> BFP --> MC at 5w4d
    3/20/16: PGS-tested Frozen Embryo Transfer --> BFP, Living Child born 12/1/15
    6/6/17: Fresh IVF Cycle --> Severe OHSS, 5 PGS-tested embryos frozen
    2/23/18: PGS-tested FET --> BFN
    3/30/18: Cancelled cycle due to lining 4.2mm
    6/21/18: PGS-tested FET --> BFN
  • @MSU_Girl1202 Yeah I figured they were going to keep you on it for the duration of this cycle. Sorry, i know how much it sucks! AFM, I am only transferring one, my doctor said because we did PGS testing she only recommends one. If by chance this cycle is a bust I will for sure revisit that. Since they are PGS tested my nurse told us there is a 5% swing on the grading from AA to CC...  all of our female embryos are 6BB and our male is 6BA, so I feel comfortable with any of them  ....that all being said we will be transferring our male embryo by choice.

    @MSU_Girl1202 I am contemplating putting in two this time...my embies are untested, so after two failed FETs I am thinking we should just go for two.
    *TW*
    I did have a successful fresh cycle eight yrs ago which gave me my twins, and the embies I have now are from the same batch so I am a bit wary of putting in two...but my Dr. thinks that it is pretty unlikely both would stick this time since these are lower grade then the first ones.  BTW, I am only 5ft/very petite and carried twins to term, you can totally do it!
  • @MSU_Girl1202 I think it heavily depends on your past transfer success, if you had any, and AGE to determine how many to transfer. My RE had a reference guide to help determine the #. I'm about to turn 42 so I had all 3 of my embies transferred to increase the success rate... with the 3 at my age I have a 50% chance of a pregnancy, 25% twins and 1% triplets and find out tomorrow if any odds were in my favor. I'm also 5ft.

    So all of a sudden today, 10 days after stopping BCPs, I started spotting. Shouldn’t it have been before now? Its just seems late. I talked about this the other day, but I feel like I have more anxiety with FETs because I have no clue what’s going on in the ute right now.

    I need to catch up with everyone and will but have a great Friday!

    ETA BC mobile ate my post.

    @MSU_Girl1202 we are only transferring one. This is our last embryo. My RE only transfers one at a time.  Both of ours were graded at BB and were PGS normal.

    @madasm0530 that does seem delayed, but our bodies never do what we want them to!  I’m sure everything is fine.

    AFM, called my office with my CD1 so just waiting for them to call back with my FET schedule.

  • @J1006 AGREED! You should stay with us! It’s only 6 days! Plus a lot of us will Be later Aug anyway. Stick around Doll!
  • J1006J1006 member
    I will definitely be sticking around :)

    @laurengon82 isn’t that always how it works? Most inconvenient time. I already warned one of my bosses that I was going to be a pain and be THAT person that asks for time off at the busiest time. Luckily this year they changed my schedule format and I basically get to create my own schedule so it shouldn’t be too big of a deal.
  • @madasm0530 I started 10 days after stopping bcp also!

    So I am drinking pomegranate juice and red raspberry leaf tea. Here's to hoping everything is still a go. I go Tuesday the 24th for another ultrasound. Hopefully start PIO and endometrin on the 26.
  • Hi everyone!  I am on the July FET board but am a potential early Aug transfer so I thought I would jump in over here too.   I know some of you from July FET and was also on May IVF. May seems so long ago now...  I will catch up with all your posts soon.  Hope you all have a nice weekend.
  • @suziev3  Welcome to Aug :) glad to have you here!!

  • @sbjbrn Hey!! Sorry you’re feeling anxious about this round. I find talking to people who go through it or have been through it helps a lot!! Welcome to the board you’re with a great group of ladies here  :)

  • Hi Ladies!  I was on this board early on, but hoping to check in more frequently going forward.  I took my last birth control pill today and have been doing Lupron for a few days.  First lining check will be on Friday.  Right now my transfer is scheduled for 8/20, but my RE might want my lining to get a bit thicker than last time so we will see!

    @sbjbrn ... welcome to the board!  We're here for you!
  • @sbjbrn Welcome!  It's hard not be anxious for sure.  Have you tried meditation or acupuncture?  I find it helps me with the stress.
    @madasm0530 Yes, please!  Lets get this show on the road already!
    @ndz2018 Thank you!!!
  • @mandapanda1421 My FET is tentatively scheduled for 8/21 we should be in our TWW together!
  • @mandapanda1421 horray for the last BC pill! Are you on Lupron now for the next 3ish weeks?

    AFM, Lining check is tomorrow and I am so.nervous! I don't know why for a lining check but lord I'd love for the next 24 hours to fly by!

  • @ndz2018 how are things going with your physical therapy?  Are you starting to feel better?
  • *lurking from July FET*

    @madasm0530 I feel you on the nerves for the lining check! I have never had any issues with lining before, but it is so stressful knowing everything is depending on that for the greenlight to go ahead or not and the though of a last minute delay is terrifying! Mine is not until Friday, but there are two others with 7/25 lining checks over on the July board.
  • @becca07024411 I've been going back and forth between the two boards because of my FET date. I'll have to pop over tomorrow to hang with the other 7/25 lining check ladies! Also, to make matters worse my clinic just called with my bloodwork (from the 12th!  :s) and my TSH was high. I'm currently taking synthroid but needed to double my dose. I am really hoping that this doesn't slow or delay the FET.

  • Good Morning! I had my lining check and it was an 8. They told me it needs to be a 7. I am waiting to hear back on the bloodwork, but I was drinking 4 oz of pomegranate juice mixed with 4 oz of sparkling water twice a day and 2 cups of red raspberry leaf tea. I had a period last week, my last day on my period was Saturday. So I am very happy with that. The transfer date is set for August 1. I will stay on this  board to help with the TWW. Crossing fingers and toes!
  • @madasm0530 I have a lining check tomorrow too. :) It's my first one for this FET so not expecting to be ready to get yet, just hoping for a 6+.  Fx for good linings!
  • I got the call today, they moved my transfer day up to 7/31 so guess I am technically July FET. I am getting excited and nervous now. This is my first FET and I really don't know what to expect!

    @madasm0530 Good luck with your lining check tomorrow. We are on the same sched.   I am nervous because I have lining issues and am hoping tomorrow is the green light! I also take synthroid. How high was your tsh, if you don t mind me asking?
    @sungirl39 Good luck. So many lining checks tomorrow!
    @Rebelfirecpl Hoping that might be my transfer day too. FX. I’ve had one before and it’s a breeze compared to retrieval so don’t stress it. My dr gives me a Valium to relax and am able to watch the procedure on the monitor. It’s really exciting!
  • @laurengon82 I have more good days than bad ones now. Lots of PT, Chiro 2-3 times a week, and finally feeling like normal person rather than a 90 year old lady. Thanks for checking in  :)

    @madasm0530 Oh no! When will they be rechecking your TSH?  FX it lowers!

    @Rebelfirecpl GL!

    As for everyone going for lining checks I’m thinking THICK thoughts for you All!  :)
  • Hi everyone! Joining in from the July board!

    I was expecting to have my transfer in early July, but I was held up because my lining was being stubborn and just. wouldn’t. grow.

    Over the last four weeks, they’ve increased me to Estrace 3mg 3x/day (vaginally), two patches every two days, and 25mg of viagra 3x/day (yeah, also vaginally). So what I’m trying to say is I’m putting a lot of things up my vagina. And I haven’t even started the progesterone suppositories yet!

    I’m coming off a failed fresh in May and I have three on ice. Planning to transfer one next week!!
  • @megmac2010 :D:D You are putting a lot of things up there! This is the first I am hearing about viagra up the cooch. Your  vajay-jay has def been busy!! FX your lining cooperates!
