For our wedding we didn't have a guest book since I think they are weird and useless- like, when am I gonna go read a book of signatures? Me? Never. I don't do sentimental well. So we got 12 great bottles of wine (like all $300+ dollar bottles, thanks FIL!) and had people sign those, and we open them at important occasions. We opened the first one at our first anniversary, and opened another when we bought our house, and we are gonna open this one once this kid is born (and I am ready for that drink).
I will say I have been drinking during this pregnancy though, like a glass of wine every week or two/three, so I havent been super deprived.
@kiwi2628 dang it, missed opportunity for my wedding!
I will probably be going for a nice red wine..could be a cab, could be a red blend. We have so many wines that came in during spring from our Napa memberships. But we also have a bottle of Vueve that DH got for my bday, which we then decided we would drink it on Vday a few days later because we drank a lot that weekend for my bday, and then found out I was pregnant the day before Vday, so that was a no go. Sigh, there really are too many choices lol.
I am not a wine or beer drinker - what I have been craving is a really good Caesar (similar to a Bloody Mary for you US ladies since I’m pretty sure Caesars are Canadian)
I’ve been letting myself have a glass of wine or a beer very occasionally (once a week ish, or once every two weeks? Idk) so I’m not craving anything that hard. I do kinda want to get red wine drunk and have sex with H though. I miss wine happy sex.
Vesper martini or the rye apple moonshine that DH bought for me to stash since it's my fav. Either way, one sip and I'll probably be toasty after 9 months of not drinking.
I used to not like beer either, until I went to Thailand and it was cheaper than water so learned to like it. My drink of choice is rum or rye and always has been. White wines are ok but they give me headaches easily. If I drink beer it's usually a wheat.

Logical me says a Downeast Cider. Every time my husband has one I take a sip and it’s so cold and crisp- also it may not completely knock me on my ass. Alternative, or drink #2 a Bloody Mary.
Tomorrow we’re going for a long weekend to Cape Cod with our engaged friends. We go every year. We usually are always walking around with a drink from 10am-bed. I’m a little nervous I’m gonna feel really bummed, out of place, or jealous. Probably all of the above. I get kind of annoyed being a sober person among happy drunk people and I tend to judge my husband extra hard when he is acting drunk/buzzes when I’m sober. I’d im drinking too then I’m fine with the stupidity. I’m gonna try to lighten up and just focus on enjoying.
This appears to be an UO but I don't like red wine
I didn’t used to like it either. I’d only tried bolder, drier reds wnd thought they were all like that. Then I tried an incredibly good smooth Pinot noir, fell in love, and branched out a bit from there.

@chyvie I’m with you. Not a fan of red.
For me it’ll be either a cider, probably Angry Orchard, or a Dos XX. I could drink a 6 pack of Dos XX a night if you let me. Yum!
+1 for mimosa... or really just screw the OJ and just give me the bubbles!
