I finally made pimento cheese!!!!!! I even brought it to a party and this is what happened.... Dude: what's that? Chick: looks like pimento cheese
So it was at least recognizable and people ate it. I thought it was tasty AND my food processor has a cheese grater attachment so it took like 5 minutes to mix up!
I’ve just wanted burgers and steaks this whole pregnancy which is so funny because burgers were the most disgusting things while I was pregnant with my son. But I just had a watermelon salad that was AMAZING! It was chunks of watermelon, whole cherry tomatoes, mozzarella, basil and salt & peper.
Applesauce jello, cookie dough, ice cream, and fresh fruit. Because that's all I can handle when I'm hot.

All the ice cream all the time... recently tried caramel haagen dasz with chocolate covered waffle cone bits... o m g... it's been close to 100 degrees so I had two popsicles, a drumstick and some of the caramel yummy goodness all in one day.
@southernlady07 when you said drumsticks I immediately thought fried chicken... Then I realized you probably meant ice cream and I could definitely go for that too
@mauishay I have been craving that exact salad! How you can crave something you have never even tasted before is beyond me, but I have seen several photos of it lately and now I’m craving it.
Tonight we had Mexican food. Really I am not liking anything but fruits and vegetables though because it is so hot!
Watermelon SO MUCH WATERMELON. I have been craving a watermelon milkshake from cookout, NC mamas please go get one for me since we don’t have Cookout in MN
@klj0228 I got a calendar reminder (that I must have set years ago) on July 1st that just said "WATERMELON MILKSHAKE!" and I started crying lol. At least I'll be in NC during eggnog milkshake season I tried making my own watermelon milkshake and it was TERRIBLE, and again, tears flowing.
Also adding nachos from Qdoba to my list of always eating. I can't seem to get enough.
I'm supposed to add more iron to my diet (slightly deficient, not enough to supplement with a vitamin). The way I plan to resolve it? Palak Paneer & so many black eyed peas. Anybody have a favorite iron rich foods recipe they want to share? I'd love it if I could find a iron rich smoothie that DIDN'T have any greens in it lol I hate greens in a smoothie,
@mauishay, that looks so good! I've been eating my fair share of watermelon, pineapple, and ice cream. Last week when I went to the grocery store I was having a hard time choosing between drumsticks and mint ice cream so I ended up buying both. Told my h if there was ever a time to buy 2 things if ice cream it's when I'm pregnant. He agreed.
@samd6 Lentils are high in iron! So are sweet potatoes, I make a Whole30 Autumn Hash that is good without the greens (though I should eat them) and pop a fried egg on it.
This is the most similar recipe that I can find online for the autumn hash. I use cinnamon and nutmeg instead of sage and thyme. And sweet potatoes instead of butternut squash.
ETA- This smoothie looks promising but I'd suggest using water instead of milk, or maybe orange juice without added calcium. No ideas on beets substitute if you happen to hate beets.
DD and I bought a HUGE container of frosted animal crackers with sprinkles at Target yesterday and they are amazing. It says there are 43 servings in the container, who wants to bet how long they will last?

Since I passed the GD test today I decided it was only appropriate to eat: a chocolate bar, cotton candy, a cupcake, doritos, 4 donut holes and 4 strawberries.
I've been on the watermelon salad too but I have it with fetta cheese mint and a tiny bit of sherry vinegar. I'm also loving fresh papaya with goats cheese (the pasturised kind without a rind that isn't on the no list) and black pepper on top. Yum! Also home made watermelon chilli and lime ice pops.
Hi all! That's amazing that so many of you are craving watermelon because I thought I was the only one mad for watermelon! I found watermelon soda that is the store brand and is really sweet like candy. I also will get a watermelon and just eat a bunch of it for breakfast or blend some of it straight from the fruit and make watermelon smoothie but I guess it's more like juice. It could be frozen and made into popsicles. My other big go to recently are fresh cherries. I cannot get enough fresh cherries! They're so delicious! Other things on my cravings list at this point include Capri Suns, bananas, lemonade, and as always cheese. 31 weeks, ya'll!!
You guys, I'm craving ice cream so much. I just can't decide how to eat it. I'm going back and forth between a milkshake, an ice cream sandwich, or a big ice cream sundae. I must get this today after work!
@runninginva I am on a blizzard kick right now. I went to town yesterday and then got one on my way home...and I want to make a special trip to town today just to get another blizzard! DQ is 25 minutes from here.
I am eating so so much salad! I do not like to eat the same thing more than two days in a row and I think I have had a salad the last 4 days and I could eat another one now!
I finally got my ice cream fix. I've had ice cream between my last post and now, but not the decadent desert like I was craving. My H and I were out shopping for the nursery, and we didn't have any luck finding what we were looking for, so he goes, "Well, I guess we have to go get ice cream now, then." Seemed like good logic to me. We went to the neighborhood custard shack and I got an ice cream sandwich. It was soooo good, and definitely hit the spot. Homemade chocolate chip cookies with vanilla custard. Absolutely amazing!
I am only craving salad and ice cream. Not together, but I can eat salad for every meal and then ice cream after every meal. I figure the salad and ice cream make for a very balanced diet.
We have ice cream at our house, but I badly needed soft serve with the cherry dip. My husband went out to get me some. Luckily, our favorite place in cheap and less than a mile. It was amazing. First time in two pregnancies I've sent him out like that.

Freaking annihilated the whole thing on the 20 minute ride home. Had planned to split it with DH.
DH- I don't know whether to be impressed or sad that I didn't get a bite.

Unfortunately many of my food choices right now are based on my best guess of what won’t cause heart burn
