How many months have you been TTC? This is our 2nd month
What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)? Just tracking using the Ovia app. I may look more into temping/charting.
Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.) Hi all! I’ve been lurking for awhile and was active on the A16 BMB. I am a teacher and have been teaching for about 6 years now. DH and I will have been married for 10 years this month and have an almost 2 year old DD. We are from the US, but are currently living overseas. I am a tv junkie and enjoy reading and traveling whenever possible. I’m excited to get to know everyone!
How many months have you been TTC? 4 months
What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)? DH is Trans, so were on the IVF track. We've just finished one unsuccessful cycle. So I'm taking a sh*t tone of hormones to gear up for the second cycle. DH was fortunate enough to freeze his eggs before transitioning. So we are using his eggs and donor sperm and my oven I'm Australian and my DH is French. We live in Paris, France where unfortunately what we're trying to do isn't legal (why!!??) so were also having to travel to Spain to do this whole thing!
Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.) I work in Fashion as a technical designer and patternmaker for a small indented label. I would say that name of it but I don't want to seem like I'm looking for people to go looking for us. DH and I have been together almost 9 years married almost one. I'm currently working so much that I don't have time for anything other than TTC and work (that sounds so depressing but I love it so it's really not!)
How many months have you been TTC? 1
What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)? Nothing special, just trying to do it at the right time
Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.) I'm a property manager, he is a tech for seadoo/brp. Just bought a house on 3 acres. Just got engaged in May. Been together 4 years. We have a kitten and a bunny. Hoping for a baby soon. Trying not to stress. I am supposed to get my period july 4 or 5. So if its late I'll be taking my first test.
Ages (you and SO): Me: 27; Husband: 28
How many months have you been TTC? My husband and I have been TTC, actively, for 2 months now.
What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)? OPK & Tracking app (Flo)
Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.) I have 4 amazing fur babies (2 dogs & 2 cats) and they are my life! I am currently studying to be a marine biologist and I work full-time at an accounting firm. I have a fantastic husband (together for 5 years/married for 1 year). When I am not working, I love to be anywhere near/in the water, whether it be kayaking, snorkeling or just relaxing with my toes in the sand ! I am so excited to join and be a part of this community and to see where the road leads from here! Nice to meet y'all
@flgurl84 and @j_mo617 : good to see some fellow animal lovers here.
Ages (you and SO): I’m 33, my husband is 41
How many months have you been TTC? 1.5
What are you doing to get knocked up - pnv, opk, just cut out most caffeine! I went off birth control in May and I’ve been surprised by how much I forgot how not fun AF is, and by how frustrating my irregular cycle is. My doctor said to let her know if I didn’t get a period in 3 months so I should be grateful that I got it sooner... I guess?
Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.) - I’m a biologist, we have two cats we adore, I like to run and work on our new house!
Also trying to give up caffeine! Caffeine free diet coke and decaf coffee are saving my life!
@amc772 - I’m dying! That was me. I’ll have to start, thanks, I feel embarrassed about it but my husband will be the only witness.
How many months have you been TTC? I've been off BC since May, but this is the first cycle we are trying.
What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)? PNV, BBT, OPK, FF, Pre Seed
Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.) H and I have been married for almost 2 years, together for almost 4. I have one son from a previous marriage who is turning 14 in a couple weeks I'm currently a middle school English teacher and H works in the talent industry. We have a 4 year-old calico cat who is spoiled beyond measure and plan to rescue a puppy sometime in the near future. We spent a lot of time with friends on the weekend and love hosting dinners and game nights at our house.
BFP: 1/26/20 | EDD: 9/20/20
Ages (you and SO): Me 26, hubs is 27
How many months have you been TTC? This will be our first cycle/month (happy dance). We had originally planned to start trying later this year, but our timeline got moved up at my Dr. appt Tuesday. (See below)
What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)? We just had my paragard IUD removed on Tuesday. I have had irregular, weird cycles on and off since high school. The last few have been just extra weird and painful, even for me. He also gave me provera to start on Aug 1st to kick start my ovaries. (He said it's like a reset button for ovulation?) Could be PCOS based on other symptoms as well, but waiting to see how it goes the next few months because it could also be the paragard. If no BFP after 3rd provera cycle we will revisit pcos testing. Also pnv, been temping again but just started back up this cycle, and ordered OPK's that should be here tomorrow!
Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.) Hubs and I have been together over 10 years now since high school. Married for almost 3. Just fur babies right now for us. We have 3 cats, Simon Oscar and Kyra, and 1 dog, Riley, who we just got back in April. She is a 6 month old pitbull border collie mix, and sweet as can be lol. I am an RN at an orthopedic hospital, but I was an L&D nurse for a little over a year right out of school. Hubs is a software engineer. We are pretty much homebodies around here lol. When it's not 1000 degrees of Texas summer heat though, we really enjoy hiking. Canoeing also, but we haven't been near as much as I'd like.
I am just excited to be here officially finally. Hubs is great, and he really does try to be supportive. There are just some things that he can't always wrap his mind around. I know some of that is on me as well. I have a bad habit of ruminating. I am 100% excited that we sped up the timeline given whatever is going on with my body, and so is he, but it's also kind of a shock that it's finally here.
*eta - stuff I forgot lol
How many months have you been TTC? This is month 4.
What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)? I am a solo mother by choice, I am doing IUI with donor sperm. I am currently waiting for AF so I can start letrozole on CD 2.
My first month TTC was march and as you have to have bloods done every day from CD10 it was noted my hormone levels were low and then I didn't end up ovulating that cycle. April was my second cycle, my hormone levels were still low but I did have a surge so IUI was done. Got a few positive tests but then AF came. Saying that was a chemical pregnancy likely due to short luteal phase or too low estrogen so pregnancy was unable to sustain.
Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.) This will be my first baby, I have cat/dog/turtle and many chickens, I live on a property which is an old coal mine from the 1920's. I have 12 acres to play on and the acres back onto bushland. My property is filled with kangaroos, the odd emu and an abundance of native birds. I feel like they are my pets also. I am an intensive care nurse.
Looking forward to getting a little more active on the boards.
27 and Husband is 32
How many months have you been TTC?
Going on month 3 this time around. My first pregnancy took us 9 months to conceive. Our son died at 16 weeks due to a genetic abnormality. My second pregnancy it took us 10 months to conceive and our daughter is now 9 months old and very healthy!
What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)?
All the things. Attempting to temp. But it is hard/not super accurate since my daughter still wakes up frequently throughout the night.
Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.)
My husband and I have been married for 3 years, together for 7. We have a nine month old daughter and an 8 year old Husky. My husband is a firefighter and I work in cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation. We enjoy being outdoors. I love writing and reading, and we both take part in Brazilian Jiujitsu which is a lot of fun! I was a part of this community when I was TTC my son and throughout that pregnancy but when he died I just never returned until now. Sorry I did not reintroduce myself before I posted earlier, it slipped my mind that I am technically a newbie again. Hope to find some good advice and support as well as share anything I may be able to! Thank you!
How many months TTC: 1
What are you doing to get knocked up: Using FF App to track ovulation but my period is all wacky. Last time around I tracked my temp but I’m always jumping out of bed in the morning to get my daughter so I always forget to do it
Tell us about yourself: My husband and I have been together for 7 years, married for 4 of those. We have a beautiful daughter who will be 3 in October. We also have 3 golden retrievers. We live about 20 min outside of Boston. I stay home with my daughter, but worked as a chemist until I had her.
How many months TTC: 7
What are you doing to get knocked up: I have pcos so, Clomid, dexamethasone, hcg, progesterone, baby asprin. All monitored by my RE
Tell us about yourself: My husband and I have been together for 7 years, married for 18 months. We're both Nigerian and live in Nigeria. I'm a writer and Editor and work at a media house even though I get to work from home a few days in a week. TTC in Nigeria is not as easy, but I am lucky to have found a really really good RE. Expensive, but I'm grateful cause his kind is rare around here.
Age: 30, husband 28
How many months TTC: This will be our first month.
What are you doing to get knocked up: OPKs and tracking BBT and CM with FF.
Tell us about yourself: My husband and I have been together for a little over four years now - we have a son who is 3, and I was pretty active on the F15 board before the mass exodus (and I've been lurking here for a while as well). I had severe pre-e with my son, so I have met with a MFM who has me improving my cardiovascular health and taking extra folic acid on top of my PNVs.
My favorite things (other than the ole husband and child) are baseball, cooking shows, hamburgers, and champagne. I work in marketing and my husband does HVAC.
Ages (you and SO): I am 26 and my husband is 27
How many months have you been TTC? This is our first month TTC.
What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)? OPKs, tracking BBT, CM, and FF....my cycles have been crazy all over the place since coming off birth control pills last fall so it makes things interesting for sure.
Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.) My husband and I met my senior year of high school through my older sister and brother in law. They lived in South Carolina at the time. I went to visit them for my spring break, and they set me up on a blind date. I had absolutely no interest in him at the time. I thought he was too nerdy After college, we reconnected and it hit it off really well. We've been married for two and half years now. We live outside of Raleigh, NC. We have a Shih Tzu named Zeus who is adorable but a total mess My husband works in finance and I run my own photography business. I mainly specialize in weddings, families, and newborn sessions and love every second of it!
@Knottie35059622 Welcome! I would suggest that you change your screen name to something more unique so that we can recognize you easier. If you're unsure how to do it, you need to sign in on The Knot, change it there, then come back here and log out and back in again.

@mali0902 Camping in VT and a vacation in Cape Cod? It sounds like you live in NE! I was born and raised in MA. I miss the seasons so much!
How many months have you been TTC? The idea of "trying" freaks my husband out so I have to say we're "not trying but not preventing"... which is what we've been doing for the past 1.5 years, but I've been more intentional about it for the last 4 months.
What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)? Currently just using the Flo tracking app; thinking about temping
Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.) My husband and I have been together for almost 11 years, married for 6. Plus, also, I'm sorry for your loss. I've experienced that myself and it's truly devastating. Hugs. In the future, please add trigger warnings and place that sort of detail into a spoiler if you can. You highlight the trigger warning details, click on the paragraph icon in the post tools above, and click spoiler. It will place a gray background behind it so you'll know it worked. We have a ttcal weekly thread where you don't have to use the trigger warning features.
