Read the clothes thread, read the HDBD thread. Didn’t look at the other threads the OP had posted in.
Honestly, lots of drama, and everyone kind of looks bad to me, though the OP is the worst, especially since she continually escalated the situation (and from HDBD appears to have a very sensitive trigger).
Essentially, I know we have board organization, and that is what works well for most of us. It doesn’t work for everyone though. I’m glad this group, while occasionally snarky, mostly rolls with the people who haven’t figured out the board. (Also, I think we’ve also been lucky to not have anyone who appears to be so toxic that they can’t roll with it.)
@knottieamusements agreed, there were a decent amount of posts that could have been handled a bit better. OP saying that she didn't fit into any of the usual check in threads was amusing because she'd go on to post the girl clothes thread which catered to moms with girls only.. if you dont feel like you belong in threads why create the same environment for others and not be inclusive to everyone?
I can understand calling her out since clearly a lot of people felt she was one of those who seeks support but rarely gives it which can be frustrating. Although, it got way out of hand and maybe wasn't needed.
Wow that drama thread was almost too hard to read. Gave me something to do while I sit at the cottage at least!
I agree with you @knottieamusements it's all about handling the original post and directing them polietly to the rules and how the baord is managed. We (meaning you!) Do that famously!
I actually had a conversation yesterday with my best friend who is due in December. I told her to join BMB because I have enjoyed all the amazing knowledge you all have. She joined and asked me why the girls are so mean and what I saw in it. She doesn't understand the culture or organization and read some threads that the girls did a lot of memes and harsh comments for starting a AW thread. I had to explain why it's so important for the organization to build the community. I also explained how you become friends with these people so sharing personal stories and chiming in when you are all craving ice cream as mundane as it seems helps build that friendships over the internet. I am not sure the whole internet friendship is for anyone and definitely not for her. It does take a lot of work. So I can see how it might be hard to fit in if that is that case.

@mamabearcj the thing that got removed for violation was that meme of Ryan Stiles on ‘Who’s Line is It Anyway?’ pulling his middle finger out of his shirt pocket. Nothing too crazy.
@chyvie - Honestly, we have all made this board what it is. I’m not the only one who meets the drive-bys with a polite redirect.
And yeah, internet friendships aren’t for everyone. I’ve been fostering them for over 20yrs now. (My first awareness of both polyamory and kink came from participation in online Pagan groups in the late 90’s.)
I have a board that I participate in on another site that has a whole thread devoted entirely to snarky discussions of drive-bys and random silliness when there isn’t an active drive-by. When I first joined that board, I totally didn’t get that thread, but I finally understood the culture after a few months (it took a while, the board has been going 10yrs, the thread 6-7yrs, so lots of inside jokes).
JFC that baby clothes thread. That OP’s username looked familiar to me. I think she’s done crazy shit like that before. But yeah, that devolved wayyy harder than it should’ve. Great big yikes all around.
@purplegoldfish2 I'm doing very well. Thanks for asking! I'm still on antibiotics for another three weeks and then will monitor for any changes once I'm off. Like swelling, inflammation, heat etc. Luckily I have none of those right now. The surgery went better than anticipated and I'm already moving my arm and in physio again. I had very little pain this time around and was able to only be on narcotics for 24 hrs post op and Tylenol for 3 days after that. I'm so relieved that it was more manageable this time around.

Omg that thread was amazing. I'll be honest, is some person who treated us as google then came to be such a snarky something-or-other, I would have snarked the shit out of her too. I dont have it in me to be polite to rude people.
That thread though omg. "I've saved lives and made life, what're you doing?" Bold words coming from someone posting on a PREGNANCY forum wherein one would assume that everyone there was in the process of creating life.

What I gathered is that the one she said that too actually lost her baby but is still around for support to others. That might not be true, but that's what it sounded like. Which makes it super insensitive.
Haven’t had time to read that thread yet, but now I kind of feel like I have to after seeing all your comments...
I’m so excited, DS pooped in the potty for the first time yesterday, and now he’s sleeping for the first time in his big boy toddler bed for nap after we set it up this morning!! I feel like my little boy is growing up too fast, though!
I used to be super ticklish as a kid, but kind of outgrew it as I got older.... this baby just tickled me from the inside. I didn’t even know that was possible.
I assumed it was quit f-ing posting you f-ing ugly B She was really quite the sweetheart. ETA that’s an absolutely terrible thing to say if thats really what she meant. Wow.
Some deals have begun, such as the Amazon Cloud Cam being 1/2 off! That's what we'll be using as a monitor for our nursery, so definitely snagging that up today.
Sitting in the chair waiting for this oral surgeon.. praying that I don’t throw up on him because my gag reflex is NOT on point this morning. And that he will actually get rid of this tooth. Update: wisdom teeth are coming out in 30 min.
I can't imagine getting my wisdom teeth out while pregnant! Best of luck!

I woke up this morning thinking I had something I could post here...but now I forgot.
