I have used Soft Cup. There’s a learning curve to it and I still haven’t figured out how to get it out without getting blood all over my finger, but it’s not all over my hand anymore. I have been debating which brand of cup I want to get (I’ve heard Diva Cup is one of the less liked cups out there) and ever since having kids, tampons have been uncomfortable, so I need something. Most of the time I use pads, but sometimes those are just not a great option. I always wear a liner with the cups and one day I picked up a kid after having the cup in for a while and it leaked, so I was glad to have the liner (although it was a pretty big leak and still got on my pants - fortunately right in the crotch where nobody at the store could see it). Since then I’ve debated getting a cup at all though, because if it’s full and leaks, it has the potential to be a lot.
@melbo444 you never know what it might do. Having twins made my periods go from horrific 7 day bloodbaths (like filling a super tampon in under 45 minutes kind of bad) to 3-4 days of super light bleeding. Maybe yours will fix your vag?!
I know I’m late, but same for me. I was always 7-8 days of consistent flow, but after DS I’m two heavyish days and 3-4 days of light spotting.
@purplegoldfish2 I know after you have kids you are supposed to use a different size. I am guessing if you leaked that bad you had the wrong size, it wasn't fully open/sealed on your body, or it was over full.
I think the brand I have is soft cup. I use the stem to pull it a little lower and then take it out by cup not the stem. I trimmed my stem shorter as it was not comfortable I know some that fully cut the stem off.
+1 to the Diva Cup. I was a little wary about it at first but it is so much better than tampons and you can leave it in up to 12 hours!

+1 to the Diva cup! I started using one in college and I never looked back! I find it stays in place much better than tampons. The only time I don’t recommend using it is camping or other no-bathroom access experiences.
I've always been afraid of the cups because I read somewhere on the internet (lol, don't judge) that they may not be advisable if you have an IUD, because it could cause it to come loose? Is that a thing???
Im glad were having this discussion. I'm definitely intrigued by the idea of the cup but I'm so intimidated at the same time. I think I'm gonna give it try when the time comes.
I've never even considered the cup because I dont even like tampons and the entire process of inserting them. I'm pretty content with Pads which sucks because if I'm in an emergency situation none of my friends have pads, they only use tampons... after reading a lot of peoples love of them I might look into it though, i like the environmental factor that it's one and done instead of all the waste of pads and tampons too

If it has a stem, it is not a Soft Cup.
