Re: July Symptoms

  • Selfishly created because insomnia. Been up for almost two hours  :(

  • Ugh! Yes to no sleep ( on the nights I’m not working) plus side is I’m getting through Scandel.

Pretty sure it’s I lost some mucus plug tonight at work. What I would give to go into labor soon ( given baby’s lungs are developed enough )

I was able to convince DH to do a little p in the v last night. BH kept waking me up just being super uncomfortable, and more mucus plug fell out this morning when I peed. (I even took a picture but I'll spare you!) I'm going to make a prediction for next weekend. I'm 37 weeks and a few days today...possibly even 38 weeks today if you go by early ultrasounds. I'm getting really excited.

  • +1 to a wonky sleep schedule.

Wish I could say +1 to MP stuff, but nothing there yet.  LOL :D perfect phrasing @flockofmoosen3 I am definitely trying to convince my hubs to do it.  He is a little wigged out about 'staring at our son' during now that the bump is so big, but I want to try.  Maybe it will stir things up!

    @cseley321 what are ankles?
  • +1 for swelling. My weight is up four pounds because of water. I usually push the stroller around the neighborhood to get some excercise and move the water but it is way too hot.

  • I've had a little cramping last night for a few hours, not painful but felt like menstrual cramping. Then woke up after only one hour to go to pee, guessing the babe moved and was really squishing that bladder! Today I feel good but not sure if baby is dropping but I just feel a bit of pressure in the very low of my belly, in summary these last few days are getting pretty uncomfortable!
  • Add me to the cramping list - I hadn’t menstrual like cramping for a few hours last night as well... I got a little spooked and almost made DH install the car seat at 11pm just in case.... lol.  We will definitely be doing that today!

  • Total exhaustion, like fall asleep at work with one foot up on my desk exhaustion.  I don’t remember this from last time.

I have also turned a little ragey.  It always reminds me of this scene from Jerry Maguire, where the football player’s wife says something like, “I’m nine months pregnant and incapable of bullshit!”  I have officially lost the ability to bullshit.  Sorry not sorry...
  • +1 for not remembering what my ankles used to look like. Finally made it to the pool for the first time this pregnancy and hoping the cool-ish water might help? Definitely enjoyed the relief from all the vag pressure and may attempt to make this a daily routine from here on. Baby was super low in my Fri doc appointment, but no other signs that she’s ready. So theoretically 4 more weeks of this fun to go!

Anyone get headaches and shortness of breath with Braxton Hicks? I don't remember that from my prior pregnancies. I'm so exhausted. I was up all night with contractions and diarrhea but of course the contractions decided to stop! 37 weeks so I have time, but if my uterus could just chill that would be great. Or if not, then bring the pain and let's deliver a baby. This false labor is not my fave.
  • So I think I may finally have some BH or contractions .They deellike tightening in the very low of my belly. I've tried to track them and they are short, only 30 seconds, and are coming every 8-10 minutes. I know they mean nothing but I hope that at least my body is getting ready!
  • +1 with shortness of breath at random times while trying to relax/sleep. I get some tightening too but not really painful but they last a while.
  • @kissableviv for me, BH feel tight/hard all over my belly, not just the lower half. I just know they are BH because they are generally completely painless, and I feel them better with my hands. They get more uncomfortable as I near labor...like they were getting last night.

  • @flockofmoosen3 thank you! I've had these all day and now it tightens my low back a bit too. But they are still kind of lower and not all over my belly. Weird. Some have been pretty uncomfortable borderline painful. I'll ask the ob tomorrow and see. I was not going to get a cervix check until Thursday but I've felt so off today I just might!
  • I have a pain towards the end of the day on the lower right side of my bump. Like a stretching pain, like baby is just laying there and pushing outward. It is there without fail regardless of whether i am active or not and it hurts and it sucks. rawr.
  • kat029kat029 member
Baby is doing massive turns (sideways, like DUDE YOU ARE TOO BIG TO BE SIDEWAYS), but then again, it gets his head off of my cervix, so trying to be okay with trading one pain for another.

Contractions and extreme swelling. It's been two weeks since I fainted, so taking it easier is working well. Still working 50-60 hour weeks and it's killing me! I'm so ready for the baby and maternity leave.
  • So much pooping and gas! It’s not diarrhea but still an increase from my normal.

Do contractions ever feel more like lightening crouch pains? My stomach is usually hard anyway but the pain comes in waves down there.
  • @elizabethrn87  I've been having this pelvis splitting pain that I thought was contractions ( I even went in for monitoring once) because it was down in my vagina and also around the sides of my lower abdomen and back. I'm now pretty sure it was baby being super low and my pelvis just moving apart to accommodate that. It stops me in my tracks when it happens though, and is definitely a new pain for me.

Finger and toes pain here. Like all the joints are loosey goosey and crack or feel like they need to be cracked all the time.

Insimnia and sleep deprived acid reflux are a given.

Constipation is back and i hope the miralax kicks in soon. Insomnia sucks.

eta got out of bed to use the restroom and felt lots of liquid come out but not enough to go out of my underwear. Maybe i peed myself or maybe it was clear watery discharge because nothing happened once i used the restroom.

Woke up last night to insane pains in my vagina/butt like someone was trying to split them open. I think it was baby's head as he was kicking and pushing the top of my uterus but man that wasn't fun at all. All it did was remind me that baby is eventually going to split my vagina eventually in the next several weeks.

+1 to the pooping and gas! Also having a hard time not waking up throughout the night and my back is hurting because I just can't get comfortable.

@elizabethrn87 I described my lightening crotch to my doc last week (and also thoughts i was leaking fluid but....just pee and/or discharge lol) and she said they could be contractions.

  • +1 for BM issues - back to either going 5x a day or not going for a couple days
+1 for so much pain - can't get comfortable at night - start on my right side but then my right hip dislocates and one of my knees hyperextends and my left hand goes numb....so then i wake up and pee and switch to left side where my heartrate goes crazy and kid starts doing flips and intestines start cramping... DH keeps reminding me my recliner is coming Friday and I'll probably be moving out of the bedroom then for the next few weeks.

  • +1 for the sleeping/rolling over woes. I feel like my body is going to break in half every time I try to roll over but I’d i don’t my hip hurts so bad it feels like it’s dying.
  • So much gas. So so so much gas. DH was so close to sleeping on the couch last night  :D
Sometimes when I move/breathe I can feel my intestines gurgling up where my lungs used to be.

I can’t get comfortable at night either. There aren’t enough pillows in the world to cradle my body the way it needs now. I feel so many joints pop when I roll over, stabby rib pain, hip pain, sciatic pain, numb hands, back soreness. Plus I’m out of breath any time I change positions or make one of my 5x nightly bathroom trips. Plus contractions. Ugh
  • Last night was a complete B.... I was feeling OK was in a good mood, told DH to come home early to talk about the kitchen and we'd run out for dinner and grab some cabinet hardware at HD - in the 15 min between him hanging up at daycare to coming home with DD I suddenly was having really bad nausea with reflux, GI cramping to induce crying, I had a BM with blood, then started having contractions 10 min apart for over 2 hours... LO was being really quiet too so I chugged 32 oz of cold lemonaid to kill BH and movement test with one stone - well then he started partying hard and setting off cardio events but contractions still went on for another bit after.  They never got more intense or less regular, they just wouldn't freaking stop until they kind of fizzled.  I barely slept, my sinuses feel like i got hit in the face with a baseball bat, and if I get out of bed holy pelvic/cervical pain and it feels like this kid is about to fall out.... I really need to make it 21 more days...

  • I'm all of a sudden nauseous every morning. I eat breakfast so not sure why its all of a sudden a problem, but I recently added evening primrose oil and maybe its just too many vitamins for my stomach at once.
  • I seriously don’t remember feeling this tired during a BFing session. I’ll start off with energy and feel drained with 5 seconds.
  • @wildtot I literally was in the EXACT same boat as you. I felt great prior to nursing and then felt like I just could not keep my eyes open 5 minutes in. I asked the hospital staff and LC and she said breastfeeding actually releases a hormone (oxytocin I think?) That makes you feel drained while nursing. Hang in there.. I'm 6 days out now and am not feeling that same fatigue when I'm nursing now. I think it went away (or I became accustomed) around day 4.

@kbernal2021 good to know it’s normal and will go away (or just get use to exhaustion again lol)! I’m trying to eat something while feeding see if that helps. Literally the minute i look down at something my eyes start to close.

  • I seem to recall drinking ice water for the first week or so to keep myself awake. I also had a friend give me some Snickers bars to snack on during nursing which was awesome for the MOTN feeds.

@wildtot and @kbernal2021 i had no idea BF sessions made you tired! Thanks for mentioning that so i am prepared!
  • I feel like I should definitely sleep but I still have too much adrenaline. In other symptom stories, I am 100% gassy and have not had a BM since birth, I'm also seriously scared of that first PP poop!
