Yup, it's so so so painful on my poor messed up pelvis. If not for that it would be just awkward and time consuming. I call myself a beached whale.

Omgoodness, dh actually used the words “beached whale” the other day! In the kindest least offensive way possible... really. Dd has an ipod touch she runs around with like it’s her phone, and has snapped a terrible pic of me sitting on the sofa. Dh saw it, and later when I brought up how big I feel he commented that in her pic was the first time he really noticed the beached whale look. He was trying to commiserate that it isn’t in my head, the bump is that overpowering these days, and that it isn’t an all the time look for me.

Anyone else having trouble rolling over in bed? I swear it takes all my energy to roll from one side to the other sometimes.
For at least a month or 2 now. It's a freaking challenge. So much grunting and groaning and occasional crying. It hurts my pelvis so bad and requires so much effort.
@klj0228 yes!!! It takes so much energy to toss and turn. If DH hears me, he'll help roll me over. I normally toss and turn now only when I have rib pain so I'm normally making some groans when trying to roll over. I've had trouble getting up after sitting for a short while also. I've referred to myself as being a whale.
@klj0228 Yes! It’s so hard to turn over because I can’t stand the moment of laying on my back. I also don’t feel like I have a single ab muscle left to help me turn smoothly or sit up. But, I have a solution - just get up to pee every 2 hours and purposely switch sides when you come back to bed. It’s been working for me!
@magnolia209 haha...that’s one way to address the issue!
Glad to know I'm not the only one. For some reason this darn hotel bed has made it worse or made me notice it more. Oh and thank you pregnancy insomnia I love being wide awake at 3am. When I’m at home I can take a power nap in the day, can’t do that while visiting corporate.
@lilidubs As others have said, BHs are totally normal. I had
a few and asked my OB and she said that we didn’t want to see more than like 10
in an hour or 2, and not to worry unless they got painful and/or too regular.
@southernlady07 Not sure what the iron pills look like, but
since there is some in your prenatal, would it work if you cut them in half?
Maybe a lower dose (even 2 times throughout the day) would help with the side
effects?
@sclarke7 Yes to the changing movement! Some days it is out
of control, and others I have to sit and think when the last time I felt
movement.
@klj0228 I spend a lot of time in hotels as well, and
recently I just used ALL the pillows and a rolled bath towel under the bump.
@klj0228 Yes...rolling over is no fun! I hope you were able to get back to sleep this morning! I never sleep as well in hotel beds.
@Redpuma119 Yes, I have been taking half (it's a chewable), so that plus the iron in my prenatal adds up to almost exactly what my doctor told me to take. I have an appointment Monday and am planning to run that by her and make sure it's OK to continue doing. Taking it with breakfast the past two mornings has helped so much!

This is definitely TMI, but here goes! Lol! Feel free to skip past this...
I feel like someone kicked me in the crotch. (Maybe because I have been! Haha) Everything feels so tender down there, it hurts just to wipe after going to the bathroom. I'm assuming it has something to do with nerves or maybe swelling from all the extra blood flow. There aren't any other symptoms, so I don't think it's a UTI. Mostly I'm just incredibly sore and notice it primarily when I wipe, which unfortunately is a lot since I'm going to the bathroom constantly! Lol. Any ideas what's going on? I'm at 29 weeks and 2 days right now.
I'm planning to ask my doctor about it at my next appointment, which is a little less than a week away. Fingers crossed for some answers and/or some relief!

@redraider2012 I get crotch soreness that lasts 2-3 days, then goes away and comes right back. I assume it's just pressure from the baby and things shifting. Sort of feels like I had a crazy night with the hubby.
@magnolia209 My iron supplements definitely gave me more energy. I also notice a BIG difference in energy if I take a vitamin D supplement and an iron supplement. I work in an office and don't get nearly enough sunlight. Good luck. Hope the iron helps you!
@klj0228 - Rolling over is a pain at home, but we were on vacation last week and it was TERRIBLE in that bed. I didn't feel like it was a super uncomfortable bed in general, but I didn't get good sleep there for sure.
@redraider2012 - I think it's not uncommon for pregnant women to have UTIs without some of the typical symptoms. Or possibly a yeast infection, maybe just a mild one? Definitely could just be related to extra blood flow and pressure, though. I've had days when it feels more tender there for no apparent reason. I'm 29+3, so right at the same point! I might call the nurse if it continues, but if it kind of comes and goes I'd probably just ask at the next appointment.

I've been having some swelling and soreness down there, too. I think it's a combination of the heat, increased blood flow, and the pressure of the baby.

I feel like the day I hit third tri (Monday) baby started going through a growth spurt or something. I have been exhausted and in bed early every night like in first tri. My belly feels like it's stretching out and all of my aches and pains seem pronounced.

@southernlady07 I'm experiencing the same thing. My skin feels tight and I for sure think the bump is getting bigger. I also am definitely starting to notice that I can only eat small amounts before I feel super uncomfortable.
So I think I’m lightheaded? I def feel funky, I let dh know and tried to get in touch w a friend to just kinda keep chatting w me. I’ve done nothing strenuous, we’ve been sitting at the table for like an hour while dd takes her ever loving sweet time eating. and I’ve been catching up here... not sure how concerned to be, or what to do about it, I wouldn’t feel comfortable driving, and have dd w me. All my local friends and fam are either away for the day or working.
Getting up and moving around doesn’t make it worse.

@jhjocelyn the only time I get like that is when my blood sugar is low so I eat a banana or drink something like orange juice. You may want to call the Dr either way to see what they say. If it something to be concerned about they will let you know. Could your H come home and take you?

My boobs are leaky faucets this morning apparently. I decided to lay down and take a power nap so I can try to function and woke up with the most ginormous wet spot on one side.
Has anyone gotten platelets tested while they're testing for GD/hemoglobin? I'm sure I'll talk with my doctor today, but mine came back below the normal range, but not by much. Obviously Dr. Google, my 24/7 on call doctor, has insinuated what this might mean for delivery, but I'm struggling to find if it's a hard and fast cut off (if you're below 150, this is what it means), or if it's a "you're lower than what we want you, but you need to get down to X to have this happen." Anyone experience low platelets in this pregnancy or previous pregnancies?
@nlc8424 I have not been using breast pads, so that will go on my list today. I don’t wear a bra often because I am around the house all the time so it will probably still be an issue at home unless I want to wear a bra.
@Patience7150 I have not heard of low platelets in pregnancy and what it can mean. I’m sure your Dr will y’all through it with you though especially if it is of major concern to them.
@klj0228 I know I'm being impatient (haha...;)) but I'm just so tired of my appointment count continually increasing and shit hitting the fan late in my pregnancies that I was trying to get ahead of it and know if I needed to mentally prepare for whatever information my OB will give me.
@Patience7150 as healthcare consumers we should all be more involved in what is happening with our health. Do you have access to a portal with your providers office where you can ask questions through provider/nurse messaging? Maybe you can reach out to them that way. You want to be as prepared as possible for what might come and I think they would understand that.
@klj0228 I don't wear a bra to sleep or nap so when I had leaky boobs I just put a towel under me. One time though I slept too long and into feeding time and I woke up with two huge boob shaped wet spots on the comforter. Oops. But I'd rather get milk on my sheets than wear a bra/breast pads so I just deal with the extra clean up. My nips need their fresh air.
@Patience7150 - I have an online friend who dealt with low platelets, although I can't remember all the details so I'm not much help. I do remember there being a cut-off for when it would affect the type of delivery she was allowed to have - possibly something about too low means no epidural. But even though her platelets continued to drop throughout third tri, she never hit the cut-off. If you're only a little low now, hopefully you don't have to worry about anything more than maybe getting them checked a few more times.

@stothi I just figure I will stay in this same shirt the rest of the day around the house and just leak away. Before H comes home I’ll change into a new leaky shirt so I don’t look like an absolute slob.
ETA: it doesn’t really bother me to be leaking it’s just weird to have random wet spots on my shirt. Also, it’s kind of a reminder I really am pregnant (because severe nausea and a growing belly isn’t enough) and that I’ll be a mom in a few short months.
@klj0228 yup! Mom time is a coming Along with all kinds of interesting stuff that will end up on your shirt, lol. A little leaky boob is good practice! That was actually one of things that caught me by surprise that probably shouldn't have- how much "stuff" winds up on your clothes when you have a little baby/toddler. It seemed like I'd get dressed and 5 minutes later there was something on me. Half the time I was/am clueless what it is or where it came from. Thankfully you'll have lots of baby wipes around the house so you can just wipe up and it's no big deal
Eta: since hubby usually works from his home office I didn't have to change into a new shirt cause he was home enough through the day that he was covered in "stuff" too, lol. It was so nice that he knew first hand where I was coming from. (Leaky boobs aside.)
