Trying to Get Pregnant

TWW Fri-YAY 06/15

**This is a thread that welcomes all regardless of where they are at in their TTC journeys. Please be mindful of topics that are discussed that could be hurtful to those going through tough times. Mention of children or pregnancies of others should have a TW and be in a spoiler if possible, and only be mentioned if it is extremely pertinent to the conversation. Thanks for keeping this a safe place for us all to engage!**

Re: TWW Fri-YAY 06/15

  • Month/Cycle: 2/1

    CD/DPO: 42/ either 5 or 6 DPO

    Timing: Good either way

    Typical LP length: 13 days

Testing: None yet.  Probably will around 10 dpo because I have so many Wondfos.

R/R: Again I woke up like three times last night.  It was only for a min or so and I went right back to sleep, but still annoying when you're trying to get accurate temps.  Then this morning, after I took my temp, the drawstring on my pants moved slightly and I felt it and thought it was a bug.  I jerked my hand and my pinky nail hit my fitbit on my wrist really hard.  It bent the whole nail back pretty far down and hurt sooooo bad.  It was bleeding and everything.  So then I was just up for the day.

CS/Q: Temp is up today.  Another open circle due to waking up multiple times last night.  *sigh*

  • Loading the player...
  • @meri-mac Hoping it stays away for you!!
  • @sparklingdiamond Thank you, but oh my gosh! OUCH! I hope you are okay now. That is an unpleasant way to start your Friday. At least it can only get better *knock on wood*.
  • @meri-mac It's a bit better but still hurting!  I had to put a band aid on it.  Of course its on my right hand too (I'm right handed)
  • @sparklingdiamond Of course it is. The universe has a cruel sense of humour. I think we are the only TWWers today...

  • @meri-mac No one wants to play with us apparently!  Its ok I can keep a convo going!
  • @meri-mac I’m here!!

@sparklingdiamond Wow that sounds super painful!!! What a horrible way to start your day!

    Month/Cycle: 2/1

    CD/DPO: 51/7

Timing: nothing good! H was out of town

Typical LP length: 12 days I hope

    Testing: WFAF

R/R: Rave: I am going to a concert with a friend tonight and the weather is still beautiful! Rant: Bummed that we missed our FW this month, although hopefully we have no reason to miss it next cycle!

CS/Q: Just hoping FF is right and WFAF next week before my OB appt!

  • @meri-mac I've got a quiet day today also. I really don't mind the alone time. People have been stupid this week and I just want today to go by quickly.

@sparklingdiamond OUCH! Hope that heals quickly!

@dogmomma271 have fun tonight! Outdoor concerts are awesome.

    Month/Cycle: 2/2

    CD/DPO: 20/3

    Timing: not so great

    Typical LP length: 14 days

Testing: not unless AF is late, but realistically I'll break down and test on CD30 or CD31

R/R: Yay for Friday!!! DH is leaving for a work trip tomorrow and will be gone for 8 days :( Also, the humidity is doing awful things to my hair. Anyone have hair products they love that help with humidity?

*Idk if this next part needs a TW*
Also, why does TB have ads with pregnant women on the TTC board? The ads are probably on all the community boards, but can't they choose different ones for this board or something? I hate seeing them.

CS/Q: FF gave me CH on CD 17, which was the day I was pretty sure I Oed, yay!
  • @dogmomma271 Fun!  What concert?

@luckywife10 Totally with you there!  I hate those ads.
  • Month/Cycle: 7/8

    CD/DPO: 23/11

    Timing: -2,-1,O,+1

    Typical LP length: 13-14

Testing: BFN today. To be honest, I had a lot of different "symptoms" this time around and had my hopes way, way too high even though I totally know better.  Especially with how much was riding on this cycle.  I'm crushed... again.  I don't plan to test again, I'll just wait the few days for AF to show and call the RE.  Now my H and I have to make the big decision if we're ready to start clomid.  :'(  I know it's always well-meaning, but I'd appreciate not hearing any "it's still early" today.  <3

R/R: Rave: FRIDAY!  Rant: I'm sad, like real sad.

    CS/Q:

  • @luckywife10 I was just thinking about those ads too! It is really awful. @BumpAdmin is there anything we can do about them?
  • @Sparty18 I'm sorry for the BFN. You still have a couple more days in your LP. I will keep hoping for you! Fx and hugs.
  • Hi Everyone!

@Sparty18  So sorry about the BFN.. :(

@luckywife10 I saw that too and did not like it.  Sidebar ads are fine I guess but the videos right in the line of the feed really caught my attention.

@dogmomma271 Sorry that you missed the FW this month.  If my calculations are right, DH will be out of town for the entire week of my FW in July.. Ugh.

@sparklingdiamond I have pretty long nails and I hate ripping one off like that!  There is always someone that looks at my Band-Aid and gives me a hard time for "just a broken nail" but they can be so painful!

    Month/Cycle: 3 / 2

    CD/DPO: 21 / 4

    Timing: -4, 0

Typical LP length:  Not sure, I'm still irregular after stopping the pill in April

Testing: No yet, AF will probably come right after a girls weekend trip (next weekend). But I'll probably test right before I leave so I don't wonder all weekend.

R/R:  Rave: Leaving work early today for some self-care before a busy weekend.  I'm quite the introvert, so I need my precious alone time before being social all weekend.

CS/Q:  No questions but... I've learned so much from lurking and I feel pretty confident in my tracking!
  • @Sparty18 So sorry about your BFN :'( The sadness part can be so unbearable. Lots of hugs your way!
@sparklingdiamond I hope you start sleeping soundly through the night. I bought some eye sleeping masks to help with my sleep, should be here today or tomorrow.
@lindanp We are have similiar DPO. I'll be rooting for you! Lurking is the best. I've also started listening to the podcast "Fertility Friday"-I would definitely recommend it!

    Month/Cycle: 3/3

    CD/DPO: 17/5

    Timing: -2, -1, 0

    Typical LP length: 14-15

    Testing: WFAF

R/R: Rant: Second day of parent-teacher interviews-it is so exhausting. To boot, me and H slept in late today and had to rush big time.

CS/Q: Temperature was a bit higher today. I also heard that BBT pre-ovulation should be at 97.3 or higher...has anyone else heard this? Mine was around 96.8 consistently. Just wondering if I should be concerned/consult with my doctor. I take BBT orally.
  • edited June 2018
Ok one of my friends asked what my chart would look like if I went in and used the BBT adjuster to account for my crappy sleep.

ETA: Finally got the pic but its so tiny!

    @Sparty18 I'm so sorry :cry:

    @lindanp Enjoy your time alone!

@professional_ruminator Do you have PCOS?  I know people with PCOS often have a lower BBT in the 96s.  I think other things can cause lower temps too.
  • @meri-mac Fx for you honey! <3

@Sparty18 I know how disappointing this is and I'm so sorry. Any news on the blocked tube part? I'm curious why you gies are planning to use clomid.

  • @suzycupcake I will have a HSG next week to confirm if the tube is truly blocked.  They said "why waste a cycle" and let's start you on clomid at the same time.  They said that if it is blocked, then at least it will give a better chance of follies on both sides, and if it isn't blocked, well it just gives us a better chance anyway.  Given our age, he is ready to treat us regardless.  If it is blocked, he will likely switch us to gonal-f, but I guess time will tell.  So, my H and I will have to discuss this weekend if we are ready to try clomid before knowing for sure about the tube or not.

Alright. I'm just asking because you only get so many shots with Clomid. If there is no infertility present, I would advise to think about it longer and do some research. It should be a specialist like an RE who administers fertility drugs with careful monitoring. Also though, the rule is a year or more of actively trying if under the age of 35 and 6 months if 35 and over. Not sure if you know about that, but it's worth trying a little longer and then going straight to a specialist to try and find out what the issue is if that hsg comes back normal.

If you are having pretty regular cycles and judging by your signature, I don't think there should be any worry right now. There's nothing wrong with your ages. That's my two cents, FWIW. Best wishes to you gies!

  • @suzycupcake  I do know the rules and have done a lot of research. It is the RE we are working with and who will be doing the HSG and any treatment.

That is why we need to discuss if we are ready to start because if there is no blockage we know we have no other known issues. The RE was still comfortable starting treatment but we have to decide if we are.

    *TW*
We still want 2 more kids and I’m almost 34. He is also taking that into consideration. It did take us 9 cycles to conceive our first, so all things for us to think about.

That's what I'm wondering about though and please forgive me for being so adamant. If you haven't been diagnosed with infertility, why does the RE want to do fertility meds when you didn't have an issue the last time you ttc? Last time, it looks like it was 7 cycles of trying which was well within normal.

  • It was 9 cycles last time, I have short cycles so the months are misleading in that regard. We were referred to the RE after the SHG from my OB.  We had the initial consultation this week and that was the plan he gave after reviewing all labs, a PP issue I had, semen analysis, etc... I can’t give you a for sure reason other than what I already mentioned for why he was ok starting treatment and like I said, I’m not sure if we agree with him on starting.

Trust me, I’m not trying to borrow trouble here. I fully understand we are not infertile by the rules at this point.  We know the odds and now we have to decide what we feel is best for us moving forward.

@Sparty18 That makes me happy that you seem to have informed yourself and that you're seeing a specialist. I meet so many women who don't, at all, and put their bodies through unnecessary stuff. I'm sorry to stick my nose in like that. I hope that you guys have success before that will even be necessary. <3

  • @suzycupcake Thank you, I do appreciate you wanting to inform others. I agree that so many are not informed and I am certainly passionate about wanting others to know more about everything as well.   <3
  • @sparklingdiamond I don't have PCOS, but thanks for the info! It is my first month doing BBT so I'll see if I have low temps next cycle too. Since O they have been in the high 97s/low 98s, so I feel like that's a good sign. We'll see! Looking at your adjusted chart, it seems like CD36 was O day to me :)
