@purplg8r My Re's office was worried about OHSS for me, especially with how high my levels were. They gave me medicine to take starting the night of my retrieval to help avoid it and I guess it worked. Definitely ask the questions if you're concerned - ask them beforehand about signs/levels/if they could do anything to help you avoid it, etc...
@purplg8r It was my estradiol level. They said I was the highest out of all of the women stimming at the time. I think I was well over 5,000 if I remember correctly.

I’m grateful that my insurance is covering the cost of my gonal-F/ovidrel this month, but doing a home stretch switch of specialty pharmacies is not fun. This is why I asked them if they took my insurance at least three times in the past two weeks. To avoid this *exact* scenario.
I can feel the progesterone pills making me a crazy woman, too. I try really hard to not be rude to customer service personnel because I’ve been there, but it’s *really* tough to not go off on someone right now.

What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): We did IVf#4 retrieval, now priming for next cycle.
How are things going?: Well my movie plot cycle continues - Saturday they were supposed to freeze our embryo, but I still don’t know if that happened or not. Long story short, the embryologist on duty near the end of her shift had a stroke and is still very ill in hospital. The head of the embryology department is on vacation. They think she completed all tasks for the day, but as she hadn’t done the paperwork/admin before she was taken ill then we’re not sure. They want to wait for the head of department to come back to check on all the work she did that day. So maybe we have a frostie, maybe not. However we are aligned with the RE for the next cycle - I started priming again end of last week and will finish this weekend, hopefully ready for AF to show up on Tuesday for new baseline on Wednesday. Then depending on the US and BW he will decide if we start or skip a cycle (eg if FSH too high). Still waiting for the prescription for my meds to be ready in case. This weekend will be nothing TTC or IF related as we are traveling to my Executive MBA graduation event. So lots of nice dresses and long speeches. But hopefully some fun times too.

@sheepshepherdess I didn't have any restrictions during the TWW. If you typically work out then I'd say you're good to go. I wouldn't suddenly pick up weight lifting if it's not something you've already been doing!
@sheepshepherdess welcome! My REs have said nothing “strenuous”. Walking, but not running for example. Not taking yourself to the point of exhaustion. Staying hydrated is very important.
@50wife I don’t know how you coped with over 5000. But I now got the explanation why I got OHSS this time - on ER day my E2 was 3800. For 4 eggs. None of which were actually mature, it more suggests they were over cooked... It’s not good it happened, but I’m a little bit relieved it wasn’t me just being a big baby about the bloating...

Thank you to everyone for all the well wishes. Procedures went well- MH has seemingly lost the paper the RE gave him after surgery. They removed endometriosis, fibroids, cyst, and the partial septum. He said the RE told him I have notably small ovaries? I’ll know more next week at our post-op appointment. Or if MH locates that paper.....
@50Wife and @emmasemm really appreciate the input! I guess I just see that conflicting info a lot, either "take it easy, nothing too strenuous" or "do your daily activity, no worries" and can't seem to trust my body or my doctor, who tell me the second one. I feel like my daily activity is strenuous, and that certainly confuses my already anxiety-filled brain!
And to everyone in general... thank you all so much for being here and sharing your stories. I have never heard any stories from folks TTGP. I didn't even realize IF existed, beyond a small number of women. And when it happened to me I really thought something was wrong. Honestly, I am keeping all this TTC a secret from friends and family because I can't take the pressure of their questions, but I finally let a few key friends know. Their reactions were generally along the lines of, "But people get accidentally pregnant all the time! Infertility wouldn't exist in the natural order of things!" Seriously. I mean, I generally like these people, but that was too much. I didn't have any info or facts to retort with, so I just shrugged and felt horrible. But coming here I realized all the info, the huge numbers of folks who experience this, and how common it is. I just wanted to say *thank you* for sharing your stories, especially all the details along the way like procedures and medications. I was beginning to feel like I was the only person in the whole world to do these things.
My best wishes go out to all of you on this round of testing and treatment and waiting.
@sheepshepherdess if you're going to be kicking yourself in the ass and blaming your workouts if it doesn't work (which I hope you wouldn't), then I'd just skip what you normally do and take walks or keep it light. I feel like each doctor will give you a slightly different response. Mine is all about healthy eating and working out so when I asked for any restrictions during the TWW after my first IUI, I was basically told that hard drugs were off the table lol
@sheepshepherdess my RE said nothing that would over stress my body. So if it was something I was already doing, then I was ok but not to start anything new.
@purplg8r I pray that you will get nice and mature follicles, that you will have peace and calm, that everything will go smoothly, and that this will be successful.

@50Wife love it! I don't own white pants because I cannot be trusted. And my dad is coming to visit so no hanky panky .I did start spotting so I called the office anyway and got a Monday appointment. I mean, it has to start by then!!!

Because of the late fertilization it was only really 30 hours when it was frozen and only six cells. But luckily as the poor embryologist was already feeling not so great she had decided to freeze it early in her shift so it (and the other critical jobs of the day) was done before she was taken ill. They are not really sure if it’s good or just ok quality. So they said they would never plan to freeze it alone for an FET just in case it doesn’t make the thaw. But we have a first frostie after 10 months of IVF!
And in the meantime we had a super graduation ceremony yesterday for my MBA. My husband was soooooo proud.
Though of the ten other girls on the course, six of them announced they were KU yesterday. Like I know it was not practical during the program as we had to fly around the world each month, but wow since Xmas when the travel stopped that’s 60% in six months. Way to ruin an IF free day...

I can feel the progesterone pills making me a crazy woman, too. I try really hard to not be rude to customer service personnel because I’ve been there, but it’s *really* tough to not go off on someone right now.

What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): We did IVf#4 retrieval, now priming for next cycle.
How are things going?:
Well my movie plot cycle continues - Saturday they were supposed to freeze our embryo, but I still don’t know if that happened or not. Long story short, the embryologist on duty near the end of her shift had a stroke and is still very ill in hospital. The head of the embryology department is on vacation. They think she completed all tasks for the day, but as she hadn’t done the paperwork/admin before she was taken ill then we’re not sure. They want to wait for the head of department to come back to check on all the work she did that day. So maybe we have a frostie, maybe not.
However we are aligned with the RE for the next cycle - I started priming again end of last week and will finish this weekend, hopefully ready for AF to show up on Tuesday for new baseline on Wednesday. Then depending on the US and BW he will decide if we start or skip a cycle (eg if FSH too high).
Still waiting for the prescription for my meds to be ready in case.
This weekend will be nothing TTC or IF related as we are traveling to my Executive MBA graduation event. So lots of nice dresses and long speeches. But hopefully some fun times too.

@sheepshepherdess I didn't have any restrictions during the TWW. If you typically work out then I'd say you're good to go. I wouldn't suddenly pick up weight lifting if it's not something you've already been doing!
@sheepshepherdess welcome! My REs have said nothing “strenuous”. Walking, but not running for example. Not taking yourself to the point of exhaustion. Staying hydrated is very important.
@50wife I don’t know how you coped with over 5000. But I now got the explanation why I got OHSS this time - on ER day my E2 was 3800. For 4 eggs. None of which were actually mature, it more suggests they were over cooked... It’s not good it happened, but I’m a little bit relieved it wasn’t me just being a big baby about the bloating...

Thank you to everyone for all the well wishes. Procedures went well- MH has seemingly lost the paper the RE gave him after surgery. They removed endometriosis, fibroids, cyst, and the partial septum. He said the RE told him I have notably small ovaries? I’ll know more next week at our post-op appointment. Or if MH locates that paper.....
And to everyone in general... thank you all so much for being here and sharing your stories. I have never heard any stories from folks TTGP. I didn't even realize IF existed, beyond a small number of women. And when it happened to me I really thought something was wrong. Honestly, I am keeping all this TTC a secret from friends and family because I can't take the pressure of their questions, but I finally let a few key friends know. Their reactions were generally along the lines of, "But people get accidentally pregnant all the time! Infertility wouldn't exist in the natural order of things!" Seriously. I mean, I generally like these people, but that was too much. I didn't have any info or facts to retort with, so I just shrugged and felt horrible. But coming here I realized all the info, the huge numbers of folks who experience this, and how common it is. I just wanted to say *thank you* for sharing your stories, especially all the details along the way like procedures and medications. I was beginning to feel like I was the only person in the whole world to do these things.

You really couldn’t dream up my cycle. But the good news is we have a frosty!!! Because of the late fertilization it was only really 30 hours when it was frozen and only six cells.
But luckily as the poor embryologist was already feeling not so great she had decided to freeze it early in her shift so it (and the other critical jobs of the day) was done before she was taken ill. They are not really sure if it’s good or just ok quality. So they said they would never plan to freeze it alone for an FET just in case it doesn’t make the thaw.
But we have a first frostie after 10 months of IVF!
And in the meantime we had a super graduation ceremony yesterday for my MBA. My husband was soooooo proud.
Though of the ten other girls on the course, six of them announced they were KU yesterday. Like I know it was not practical during the program as we had to fly around the world each month, but wow since Xmas when the travel stopped that’s 60% in six months. Way to ruin an IF free day...
