Re: IF Testing and Treatment Week of June 11

  • Ladies I have been MIA this week and will come and post more tomorrow. But I just wanted to stop by and say that I am sending all my thoughts and love your way. @KristoKekerooni @jrm_14 Thinking of you both!
  • Loading the player...
  • @Aurora1973 I’m teally hoping that one of these two cycles are it for you.  You deserve it. And I so admire your attitude

    @beachbunnyxo123 I’m actually worried about over responding and OHSS. I need to do more research so I know what to be looking for at my spots.

    @KristoKekerooni thinking of you!!!

    @purplg8r My Re's office was worried about OHSS for me, especially with how high my levels were. They gave me medicine to take starting the night of my retrieval to help avoid it and I guess it worked. Definitely ask the questions if you're concerned - ask them beforehand about signs/levels/if they could do anything to help you avoid it, etc...
  • @beachbunnyxo123 I guess I should add that I’m also worried it’ll take longer for me to respond

    @50Wife what levels were high?  I know they’re trying to prevent it by having me eat no carbs during stims
  • 50Wife50Wife member
    @purplg8r It was my estradiol level. They said I was the highest out of all of the women stimming at the time. I think I was well over 5,000 if I remember correctly.
  • Diagnosis (if you've been): IF (but all tests are normal), hashi (medicated but monitoring)

    Status (WTO/TWW/TTA): TWW

    What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): IUI on 6/7 w/Clomid + Ovidrel, frozen sperm

    How are things going?: Current mood is "I felt a cramp in my left ovary, it must be IB!" at 6dpo. Five seconds later, "Oh wait, it's just because my pants are too tight." You can guess my favorite thread.

    Any questions?: What does everyone else's doctors say about exercise during the TWW? I feel so weird doing my normal activities.

    GTKY: What are your favorite summer traditions? Working! But really, sitting around a fire pit just before dark, and as the sun sets watching the fireflies come up.

  • @KristoKekerooni I’m thinking of you too!

    I’ll be back later for comments. How is today already Thursday?
  • I’m grateful that my insurance is covering the cost of my gonal-F/ovidrel this month, but doing a home stretch switch of specialty pharmacies is not fun. This is why I asked them if they took my insurance at least three times in the past two weeks. To avoid this *exact* scenario.

    I can feel the progesterone pills making me a crazy woman, too. I try really hard to not be rude to customer service personnel because I’ve been there, but it’s *really* tough to not go off on someone right now.

    @emmasemm whaaaaaaaaaaat?! Horrible situation all around!!! I hope your little embie made it! Let us know once you have an update. Geez.
    And in a situation like that, how mad can you really be? Not like you can raise hell when something like that happens.
    And I hope you have an awesome weekend!!!

    @lin0442 I hope you can get everything taken care of!

    @madspunk Hope you're doing ok!

    @sheepshepherdess I didn't have any restrictions during the TWW. If you typically work out then I'd say you're good to go. I wouldn't suddenly pick up weight lifting if it's not something you've already been doing!
  • @purplg8r I pray that you will get nice and mature follicles, that you will have peace and calm, that everything will go smoothly, and that this will be successful.

    @madspunk Surgery went well- The RE removed endometriosis, fibroids, tubal cyst, and the partial septum.

    @Avrilmai Recovery has went smoothly overall. I’m glad I have had several days to rest & be still.

    @emmasemm Horray for a frostie!!!!!!  That is hard about the other classmates in the cohort. Clearly you are perservereant one with how many rounds of IVF+everything else ;)

    @rallykat So hoping your acupuncture works & your ute kicks itself into gear pronto!
