@MouseMama817 it's not too difficult, even on mobile. Here's how I do it: google image search whatever you want a gif of (for example: chris evans shirtless gif), select an image to open, press and hold the photo until you get options, select open image in a tab, go to the tab with the image, copy the website address (making sure it ends with .gif or if it's a photo .jpg or whatever) then go to TB, select the add picture icon (little square with mountains and a sun type thing), paste the address you had previously copied and select "enter" and post it!

Otherwise you can select to download image instead of open in new tab and then select that same add picture icon and instead of pasting the web address select choose file, select the recently downloaded image, and post!

@lurvleybunchococonuts I literally salivate every time I see that man. I mean...for the love.....
  • @MouseMama817 are you using an iphone? sometimes i have a hard time gif-ing with a link, but i have success saving the gif to my iphone, then inserting it as an image.
  • @highsteaks Yep, an iphone. I’m able to copy the image link and paste it into the little photo icon thingy but when I hit “okay” or “go” on my keyboard, nothing happens. The little image url box just stays on the screen. It’s a head scratcher. I ended up doing a screen shot of those beautiful photos and then inserting from my photo stream. But I want to be able to participate in the animated gifs too! Sometimes I really hate technology.

@MouseMama817 the same thing happens to me! try saving the gif to your photo library, then mountain pic>choose file>photo library then select the saved gif. should load automatically.

eta-you can then delete the gif from your photo library after posted, if you don’t want concerned questions later... lol
  • Maybe I should add this to the UO thread, but Jason Momoa just doesn’t do it for me. But you ladies have at it!;)

Rant time!! I passed out invites to my DD 6th birthday party two weeks ago and so far I have gotten two maybes and nothing else!!!! Why do people do this?? If you can't/don't want to go just say so. I have no clue if I should prep for 5 kids or 15! It is so frustrating.

Also, the weather forecast has changed and it is suppose to storm all Saturday and possily rain Sunday (party is on Sunday). The party is in a park with no rain plan. Ugh...
  • @lifesabeach85 YESSSSS!!! Beards.....Ryan Reynolds.... *drools*
  • @wannaflickone lord, have mercy....
  • @wannaflickone Omg. That is about all I can say. Best gif ever
  • Rant: BIL texted yesterday to ask if we would keep our 2 year old nephew saturday night. Of course I said yes because DS loves having a playmate around. The rant part comes in because his SAHM demands that he go to a sitter three days a week so she can have "me time" and tries to send him to one of his three sets of grandparents nearly every weekend.  I love that we will get to spend time with him this weekend, but I know by asking for him to spend the night they really mean he will be dropped off at our house by 8am saturday and not picked up until 6pm sunday evening. I just wish he got the attention at home he deserves from both parents and that his mom would understand that motherhood means putting your kids first the majority of the time. This should not come as a surprise to her as she has a 10 year old from a previous relationship.
  • @msb11182018 That’s really obnoxious. Can you specify the drop off time so it’s not a 24 hour thing?
I have an uncle who used to do this all. the. time. He had partial custody of his daughter so he only saw her on the weekends, yet every weekend he would drop her off at my moms for 5+ hours a day. I could never understand it.
  • @MouseMama817 I'm hoping DH works the times out with him since its his brother. If he tries to take advantage I guess we will just have to think twice before taking him overnight again. I just got off the phone with MIL about it, she said that he must have asked us to take him because she refused. She's already taking him for nearly a week this month so they can take a trip, plus she stays home from work once or twice a week to watch him for free. Poor kid, I just hope his parents work out their issues before he is old enough to realize he is being pawned off.
  • @msb11182018 I agree, it's sad. Maybe the younger years are just harder for some people and they need more breaks? I don't know, making excuses lol

Mini rant. When it comes to any home improvement projects, the ones I want to do get put on the back burner and anything MH wants to do gets done right away. I know MH does most of the work, but I'd happily help out. For example, I want to get the nursery painted asap, mostly as an excuse to clear out the room to start using it to put things for the baby. Mh gave me a list of things that need to happen before painting. I've done everything I can on my own, now I'm waiting on him to help with furniture moving. Instead of moving the furniture this morning, he's installing the ceiling fan he bought yesterday...
It took a YEAR for him to hang the art my father bought me as a present for my 30th bday, even though I bought the hanging materials a week after I got the paintings.
We still don't have the shelves I wanted to put up when we first bought the house, but he has all the things up in his office.
I hate having to nag, but if I don't things will never get done!

  • @middleschoolmommy I feel you. We have lived in our house for 10 years, and I still don't have baseboards and crown molding in the back of our house. Your H is doing way better than mine. So at least there is that.
  • I always threaten to hire a handyman for the things DH drags his feet on. I’ve never actually done it but maybe you actually could?
  • @MouseMama817 today, I just started moving furniture so that he HAD to help. He finished his ceiling fan, but I made sure the desk got moved so the next phase of the "paint the nursery" plan can happen next weekend.I like the hire a handyman idea though! I wonder if that would work the same as hiring a maid if he fails to do the cleaning he agreed to do

  • @middleschoolmommy I know that rant well. Our problem is DH finishes about 85% of it. He does all the grunt work but then when it comes to finishing, it never happens. Now I just hire someone to finish it when he is away for business trips. My rant: the darn bump app has had me locked out all weekend. I finally deleted it and downloaded again and can finally talk to y’all again.
