We planned late last year a trip to Greece with some friends of ours in early September. I'm estimating I'll be around 19-20 weeks, any travel suggestions are welcome!
kaf1788 oooh my parents went to Banff last year and loved it. Bring your bear spray!
DLpanda08 hey- Virginia- my home state - and NYC- my now home town. Enjoy!
tosh24 totally understandable you aren't comfortable to travel. It's good you know yourself well enough to stay home and relax. That is just fine too!
Kabazaba my staff person goes to DragonCon every year and makes her own costume. Yay nerds!
We are going to Maine for a week on June 3. When I planned the trip I knew I would either be pregnant or dealing with another failed IVF transfer and want a real getaway. We are flying to Portland on a quick flight and then renting a car and driving about an hour to a house rental for the week. It was designed to be low maintenance. We can take day trips if I'm up for it or we can lay on the dock and do nothing. I can't wait.
@ramfam2507@saltedcaramel518 DH and I did an Disney Cruise last year for our first anniversary in October. The weather was awful and we still had the most amazing trip. I want to go back again so soon!!
@greenhillgirl my family owns a cabin (calling it a house would be generous) in midcoast Maine right on the water and we used to go every summer. My parents still do but my sister and I now go every other year. It’s my absolute favorite place in the world. DH proposed at the lighthouse in our village and it was amazing. Hopefully this baby sticks and next summer we can bring it with us!!
I'm headed to Miami this weekend for a bachelorette party. This ought to be interesting given that I can't drink. I'm only 4+2 and *TW* had a loss at 8 weeks in Feb *end TW*. I don't want any of the other girls to know this early. I did tell the bride since she is one of my best friends and knew/supported me in Feb.. any tips on fake drinking, haha?
@Mandamay1414 I had a great server last week at a work reception that was happy to make me this fancy looking mocktail. I’m a little worried though for this weekend - we’re seeing a ton of family and going to a bunch of sit down dinners. I’m hoping to go to the restroom and find the waitress and discretely ask for something without alcohol since doing that while everyone is sitting right there would probably not go unnoticed.
thanks @olivemomma but unfortunately the MOH (bride's sister) wants to try to do most of the drinking at our air BnB. Normally I'd be all for that since it's so much cheaper that way, but it makes it a lot harder to fake it..

DH and I are heading to the beach this weekend. The forecast says 80-90% chance of thunderstorms the whole time we're going to be there.

@Mandamay1414 you could say you are on a medication and can't drink because of it? Lame but may work?
