    My favorite canon-compliant fic is SUPER angsty and Im hesitant to rec it because it could very well shake your faith in Larry's current relationship. LMK if you feel strong enough for it. After I read it I was convinced that it was an accurate portrayal of the nature of their relationship, for a really long time.
    Ok I just did a practice-run with the golf one and NEWP can't handle even the slightest shaking of faith, lol. I got teary. I am not ready. But now I know what canon-compliant means and how to look for it so thank you! :)

    GDI. I have kept those adorable boys at arms length until now. I get it and I'm in. The problem is I'm old. I have finally sort of figured out twitter enough that I don't feel like Wooderson in dazed and confused everytime I'm on it. And now I need to figure out tumblr to keep up with Larry? I can't. Someone please promise to update here!

    Summary:


    They're all coping with the break in their own ways. Liam's learning new skills, Zayn's joined a charity that has him on another fucking continent, Niall's working out, Louis' growing a beard and Harry has a cat.


    Two months in, their house is overrun by cats and kittens, Harry is transforming into a feline, and Louis can't get head without interruption. The break is going great.

    Or, the canon fic where One Direction go on a six month break and Harry adopts a billion cats and that's it that's the fic.

    So, I was thinking about the whole requisite Lou and Eleanor picture from last night or whatever, and was kind of confused by the whole thing. However, what you guys were saying about needing to show them "together" makes sense, because why else would anyone take a picture be like, "Lou looks annoyed as fuck. HAPPY FAMILY PHOTO."

    Tumblr question: can other people see what you follow? I have to start one for semi professional reasons (ie for a class and future internships look at this shit and I don't want them to see me looking at Larry blogs, lol)

    They all came in as singles, were going to be eliminated but the judges knew they were far too adorby to let go, so they put them all together in a band and they lived in the X-Factor house together, learned songs, sang on X-Factor, came in third and then Simon Cowell signed them anyway because he's a genius.
    As a newb I was wondering how they came to be too. 

    They came in 3rd?!  WTF. Thank goodness Simon Cowell is smart. I'm spiraling on their X-Factor songs now and you can just tell they were meant to succeed. Their enthusiasm and energy is amazing.

    I remember reading it on tumblr, originally, because the format sucked for reading a novel. I'll trying finding it on Wattpad.

    ETA: I found a link to it on some 1D wattpad thing and the link says it no longer exists. whomp whomp

    I found it especially interesting in the light of a popular tumblr post that has been making the rounds in the last couple of days comparing different perspectives of the same scenes of the boys: what mgmt wants us to see vs. what really goes on. Maybe someone else can link the entire post but here's an example:
