@binxybaby It's so hard to remember because sometimes it feels like they've hired us to play their patient. BS! I can drop them like a bad habit if they do something that makes me angry. There are countless numbers of good OBs!
Just found out our genetic testing came back normal (thank goodness) and we're having a baby boy!!! I thought I would be a little disappointed we can't reuse a lot of my daughter's wardrobe, but I'm actually super excited to buy a bunch of new baby clothes (my weakness, lol.) Ahd it's funny, the second my husband and I saw baby at our very first ultrasound we both *immediately* thought boy, so I guess our intuition was right! (Or we had a 50/50 shot and guessed luckily, lol.) Anyway, exciting!
@laurench912 The ultrasound tech said she wouldn't have said anything if we didn't already know we were having a boy. If someone didn't know they wouldn't want to make the mistake since she said the boy parts will grow by like four times or something. But since we already knew she was like yeah I can actually tell and showed us. It was cool!
NIPT results came back; all genetic testing came back negative... including the test for a Y chromosome. Looks like our little girl is getting a little sister! Name is officially set as Marion Florence.
Congrats @AGK2015! Great name, my sister and great-grandma are named Marian.

We have a 15 mo boy now and we always agreed on only 2 kids so it looks like I will be a boy mom! I’m obviously way excited to be having a baby at all, but still a small part of me is a little sad on what I will miss out on by not having a girl
I have 3 boys- and I get it- I want a girl too. But you’ll see, brothers are SO much fun. I couldn’t have imagined the joy of watching them together if I tried. ❤️
I feel like I'm the only one who doesn't know what baby is yet! I wasn't given the option of any sneak peak test, but if I want to have the genetic testing done (I'm thinking MaterniT, but not sure yet) I can find out the sex as well between 12-14 wks I think. I had some genetic testing done last Monday, but they never gave the option to find out the sex with that one Still waiting on the results of that test, and it's SO nerve-wracking! I really don't want to have any other genetic tests done because I feel they are unnecessary, but I also don't think I can wait until 20 weeks to find out. So many choices!
@scaredunprepared You're not the only one! We aren't doing any special testing other than the most basic option. We aren't going to find out until the 20 week appointment
@hkom @scaredunprepared I'm in Canada and we don't really have those available maybe we do (I think I read somewhere that we might), but it would cost $500. So we are waiting to see if the baby cooperates at the 20 week scan
My sister waited to be surprised for BOTH of her pregnancies, but I don't understand how. I always thought if I was pregnant I would want to wait until baby's born, but now that i actually AM pregnant I want to find out YESTERSAY! But I actually think I will just be patient and wait until 20 weeks, unless my doc tells me I need further genetic testing. Sneak peak seems interesting though... let's see how patient I really am!
@jens_hoes I'm also holding out until baby is born.
@scaredunprepared I felt like that with DS! I couldn't wait to find out. I hear nothing but great things about not finding out and since we've already done it the way that we do find out, I want to see what the not finding out is all about.
@scaredunprepared also waiting until 20 weeks! You're definitely not alone!! I'm not paying extra money just to figure out early, we don't have the money to spare honestly. But, if my high risk OB wants to make a guess at our 13 week NT scan I wouldn't say no lol. (And I know it's not reliable at that point, but why not? Lol)

We won’t either.

I got my Nipt results back. Everything came back normal ( sigh of relief) and we're having a boy! I swore it was going to be a girl. I'm anxious to see how my daughter will react to getting a brother.
We got our sneak peek results back last night and we are having a girl. We really had our heart set on a boy because my husband's family only has little girls (our daughter will have 11 all girl cousins) and I'm not super girly, but I'm trying to be grateful for a happy healthy baby and reminding myself to be grateful we were able to have a baby. I hate that I'm being a brat though.
You can get sneak peek in Canada (I paid $79, regular $99) you just ship it back, comes with everytging including postage paid for return...working up the courage to do mine tonight!
I’ll find out for certain in 2 weeks, but from my NT today the thought was that this could be a boy. First picture she was pretty sure (she asked is I wanted to know and I said yes, she said it’s a boy), second picture when she went to show me- not sure and said maybe it could be a girl. Either way it’s fine...I just have to be ready for a 3rd boy. This will be my last so it’s bittersweet either way.
@laurench912 it's okay to be a little upset! We were upset to have a boy the first time, and probably will be upset again if this baby is another boy. But, I wouldn't change it for the world. You're allowed to be a little upset over what you won't have, but I promise you'll love that little girl no matter what. And so what if you're not "girly"? She might not be either! I wouldn't worry about not being "girly" and having a daughter
@CecilB93 thanks! It makes me feel better that other people get disappointed too about it. I definitely felt like a huge jerk about feeling a little sad. And you're right, she may not be super girly

Definitely don’t feel a jerk. I feel like it’s bittersweet either way. If you can imagine yourself having a son or daughter I feel like you are already having to move past a vision that you may have had, even if you know that you are so happy for what you are having.
