This is a place for those of us who have already started TTC, but have started infertility testing and/or treatments. You can express your thoughts, feelings, and frustrations on infertility. TTC can be a long journey naturally, then add in the difficulties associated with infertility, and it becomes a whole new ball game. The road to infertility can be lonely, frustrating, and complicated, so let's make this a place where we can vent, ask questions, and support one another. Feel free to resurrect this thread at any point in the week if you have something to say. Treat this as an ongoing conversation.

What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): As soon as AF arrives (hopefully in the next 24 hours) then it’s baseline scan and BW to find out if we can do IVF#4 this cycle.
How are things going?: The priming has literally all but wiped me out. It was damn tough the first 1.5 weeks, but I got through it. The last theee days however finished me off. All I managed each day was a few hours after waking up, then sleeping for 4-6 hours, then a few hours of doing a bit more (mostly eating) then sleep and repeat until bedtime. If I didn’t know differently I would have suspected that someone had drugged me. Coming out of sleep each time feels like coming round from heavy sedation. Overnight intense cramping has been added to the mix, just to liven things up a little... DH has been awesome though. But I’ve been totally useless. Luckily it’s a public holiday here today so we had a three day weekend. I do feel I’ve wasted the gorgeous weather we’re enjoying as I pretty much just slept the whole time. What I’m hoping more than anything is that all these side effects means the priming has been effective. But I’m also worried it was too strong and my ovaries are not going to wake up to stim. Trying not to think too many steps ahead. Just hoping AF shows up very soon so we can get the baseline results and know if we have the green light or not this month.
Any questions?: If you’ve taken Provera or Norethisterone or something similar before (medroxyprogesteronacetate) how long after the last pill did you get AF? I’m already cramping 10x worse than is normal for me and really hoping I don’t have to be like this for 3 days which is what they said it would take for AF to arrive...
GTKY: Well my most embarrassing one as an adult was when the zip broke on my red full zip ted baker dress at a corporate event... I flashed a lot more than everyone had bargained for!!!!! Luckily one of the ladies grabbed a jacket from a guy and shielded me as I made my escape. I was pretty popular for the rest of the night once we’d fixed it! As a child I have many embarrassing incidents. Going with the theme from the royal wedding at the weekend, here’s a pic of me dressed up for our street party in 1981 for Charles and Diana’s wedding. (In spoiler as it’s gigantic)

@emmasemm yay you’re so close! Have all of your transfers been fresh? Will it be a fresh transfer this time too? I feel like I’ve been on estrace so many times now for priming and surgery and FET that I like to let her know that I’m in control! And it still sucks cause I feel nauseas and have no appetite. I will start it for my transfer cycle again next week. What cd will your baseline scan be?
What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): just had my endometrial biopsy this morning. Now I’ll stay on BCPs until next Monday and start meds for my transfer on 6/1
How are things going?: good. The biopsy went well. At first he started with “this catheter is large so if we can’t grt it in will have to schedule a time under anesthesia” I tried not to panic cause I’m done w anesthesia, I’ve had 4 surgeries with it in the last 6 months between two retrieval’s and 2 hysteroscopies. But he got it in thank God so my cervical dilation surgery in February really did wonders for me! The biopsy hurt, bad. It was like he clipped onto my lining and just kept tugging and pulling until a piece ripped off. I’m glad it’s over with. He did a cath check for my FET after and it went right in!! So now BCPs till next Monday, then monitoring on 6/1 to start estrace and doxycycline and we are on our way!
Any questions?:
GTKY: What’s your most embarrassing wardrobe fail? i went to private school; I fell down the stairs in my skirt freshmen year and it my skirt was like up to my head exposing my grans (granny panties). It was brutal.
@beachbunnyxo123 oh I’m so glad they could get the catheter in so easily! After all the stress around that (six months or so ago now??? Omg is it already that long ago???) before it’s so good that you don’t need to worry about that part too on top of everything else. I’m supposed to go CD2 for baseline, but there is one day that I can’t do this week so in case that’s CD2 then we’d have to do CD3 baseline. To be honest I’m not expecting them to be able to see anything on the US if the estrogen has made my ovaries half as sleepy as it’s made me. I’m interested how the E2 levels will work as surely some of the estrogen patches will be left in my system so it’s not really a true baseline... I do feel like a walking lab experiment every month! And no more fresh transfers is the plan. We want to bank. We need to bank. Plus the other part of that plan is to wipe my immune system pretty much out and restart it before the transfer which puts a fresh one out of the question. My RE explained it like if you’ve had your computer on for a while and opened lots of different programs then it’s trying to run everything in the background even if you’re not actively using that program at the time and it slows down and the performance is not as good as it should be. If you completely shut down and restart then you can still reopen whatever programs you need, and any you’ve set up to restart directly from logging in will start themselves again. You don’t lose anything but you get a “cleaner” performance of the programs you need to run. And we want the best possible performance of program “uterine lining supports implantation”!

What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): We did our third IUI cycle on 5/12.
How are things going?: Pretty well! My parents were in town this weekend, which was a nice distraction. I have not ordered any hpts yet. I know if I do, I will use them & I really do not want to test until at least this Saturday. I am beginning to get a bit impatient to know one way or the other so we can plan or next steps.
Any questions?:
GTKY: My freshman or sophomore year of HS, my church group was on a trip. We went to the beach one day & the top of my swimsuit malfunctioned. Normally, I would shrug it off. However, they gave me a lot of grief and that was probably more embarrassing rather than flashing people. Also, I had really heavy periods for a while. I didn’t have cramps at that time, and would often start my period with no earning & bleed through my clothes. I remember once I was at my uncle’s for poker night & stood up & it was everywhere. I don’t know if no one noticed or didn’t say anything out of kindness.
@emmasemm , I actually started when I still had three pills left... But I was already super late, and didn't prime, so . I dunno. I really hope your priming has prepared you well. I have heard it can do wonders. I have all my fingers and toes crossed for you.
@beachbunnyxo123 , Eeek. You are finally so close to that transfer! I am so thrilled you have such beautiful embryos waiting for you. Looks like I will just be a bit ahead of you in transferring. Sorry the biopsy hurt, I've heard a few people say it wasn't super pleasant.
Diagnosis (if you've been): MFI, RPL
Status (WTO/TWW/TTA): WFFET
What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): Transferring my last two embryos. I have baselines scheduled for tomorrow. We will take it from there, I guess.
How are things going?: I'm trying to force myself to find some sort of hope. Honestly, I just can't. I still am just in shock that we did so much last time and it still didn't work out. What else can I do? Why? Like, is there something inherently wrong with me? Is it wrong for me to a be a mother? Is this the universe giving me a sign? I know that's all silly, but I just can't even imagine it turning out any different. It sucks that I can't even pretend that this will work.
Any questions?: No questions, but positive vibes and encouragement welcome. Ya'll. I am so tired. So, so tired of this game.
GTKY: What’s your most embarrassing wardrobe fail? So when I was younger, I was super tiny. I was completely flat chested. Completely. Like, I didn't even wear a bra till well into high school. Not even a training bra. Because there was NOTHING. Anyway, I was at home hanging out in a ratty old shirt, no bra, and shorts. Well the shirt had a few holes in it. My nipple found a teeny tiny hole somehow, and was poking right on through. Even though it was just around the house, around family, I was so embarrassed when my sister pointed it out to me. The family STILL brings it up and laughs about it. I started wearing my stupid training bras that day.

@KristoKekerooni That is absolutely not silly to think about those things! Given what you have been through, it is absolutely understandable those thoughts roll around in your head. I remember often how a while back, you said that regardless of hope and attitude, that embryo will implant or not. Your uterus does not know your feelings. Feel what you need to make it through this. I hope that you have a wealth of support that is genuine & comforting to you ❤️

@jrm_14 You are right, practice what I preach, right? My uterus doesn't hear my thoughts. I just wish I had some sort of hope so I can pretend it'll work. I miss the blissful naive thoughts.

@KristoKekerooni Easier said than done to practice what you preach, right?! The important part is allowing yourself to feel whatever. Remember to do what you need to do to get through this cycle & beyond. Screw what other people expect.
@emmasemm Fx so hard that you get the green light for this
cycle! I’m sorry the priming has been so rough.
@beachbunnyxo123 So glad the cervical dilation worked so
well! The biopsy sounds torturous, but hopefully the results are good!
@jrm_14 I hope this IUI works for you and you don’t have to
move on to any next steps! I’m glad you had the distraction of your parents
visit. Things like that always help with the TWW.
@KristoKekerooni As you’ve helped the rest of us to
remember, whether or not this works doesn’t depend on how hopeful you feel. IF
sucks, so take care of yourself and protect your heart however you need to.
Sending so many internet hugs.
@rallykat14 Bailing on baby showers is pretty much a
necessity at this point! I fully support your decision.
What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): IUI #4, maybe (see below)
How are things going?: Not great. I was making it through this cycle just fine - no side effects from the clomid, feeling slightly hopeful, etc. I went in for monitoring this morning, and I have six follies, so now they're probably going to cancel the IUI. I have to wait for my doctor to call this afternoon to let me know her decision. I'm feeling pretty disappointed right now though. Also, they cancel when there are too many follies because of the risk of higher order multiples. After three failed IUIs and 16 or so months of TTC, I have a hard time believing that even one of the six would fertilize and implant.
Any questions?: I have four follies on the right (19, 18, 16, and 14) and two on the left (23, 15). I was under the impression previously that anything under 17 wasn't considered mature. Should they even be worrying about those three smaller follies? Has anyone had experience with a situation like this?
GTKY: What’s your most embarrassing wardrobe fail? Probably jumping in the pool and having my bikini top flip completely up.
Happy Monday ladies! I'll do my best to catch up a bit later (was just out of the office for two hours so I don't have much time) but I wanted to give a quick update.
Had my 3rd biopsy this morning. We have a meeting with the doctor on Friday to discuss, but from talking to him today it seems that as long as I'm not like extremely far off, we're doing the transfer either way next month. Which part of me is pumped and the other part of me is just numb to all of this. I hope it comes back receptive, I'll feel much more confident going into the transfer. If it's not, he said he'd probably just have me do an extra day or two of progesterone and then do the transfer. I trust my doctor, especially since we're doing this month after month to get the timing right so I told him if he's confident then I'm confident and he said he is! Done and done!
What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): I have a hysteroscopy in the OR on Friday. I'll stop my BC this Thursday and start on estrogen patches early next week.
How are things going?: Meh, they are going. I didn't hear from my RE's office all last week, even though they were supposed to schedule a pre-op appointment and the surgery time for Friday. I still feel like I have to keep track of everything myself. Thank goodness I'm "experienced" in this arena so I know what to do and what questions to ask. I have no idea what this is like for her other patients who are new to IF!
Any questions?:
GTKY: What’s your most embarrassing wardrobe fail? My friend from high school still teases me about a pair of corduroy overalls that I used to wear. My mom bought them for me and I used to wear them when I didn't feel like tucking in a shirt to comply with dress code at school.

@KristoKekerooni hugs friend. I’m rooting so hard for you! Are you doing the same protocol this cycle?
@rallykat14 I’m sorry that I forget but will you get all of the donor eggs or a certain number of them?
@darkstar42 that’s a lot of follies! When will you know if they will move forward with this cycle? When are they having you trigger? I was lucky to ever even produce even two follies for an IUI cycle so I can’t relate but I hope it works out for you.
@50Wife so hypothetically speaking, if your results were the same as previous cycles would your doc recommend a natural or medicated transfer cycle?
@AlohaKumu sorry if you’ve mentioned this recently but what is your hysteroscopy to check for?
@emmasemm I hope AF shows up for you quickly! The meds always made me really lethargic, too. I constantly felt like I just did a crazy-hard workout and just wanted to rest. I absolutely love your royal wedding celebration outfit! @beachbunnyxo123 I'm sorry to hear that biopsy was so painful for you, but heck yeah that they got it in! I remember what a nightmare it was when they just couldn't do any of the testing for you. @jrm_14 You have awesome willpower. I'm glad you had a distraction last week to get through the TWW, but I get too impatient to wait every time. @KristoKekerooni Man, do I relate to those feelings that nothing will change this time around either. I feel like I'm going through the motions of all the testing and preparation, but there's no light at the end of the tunnel. It's okay that you don't feel into it. And you are absolutely not wrong to want this so badly, even in the face of loss. I'm so hoping that your sweet baby bee is just around the corner for you. @rallykat14 I hate that you have to wait yet again during this excruciating process, even if it's great that your donor is doing this again. I hope everything goes perfectly this time around. I'll be thinking of you! @darkstar42 Woah! That's a lot of follies. I'm not sure about the sizing issue, but most of my friends who have done this had their REs err on the side of caution when there are so many. @50Wife Gosh darn it, I hope this is it for you! It sounds like your doctor has a backup plan, but I really want you to get those receptive results after everything you've been through!

@beachbunnyxo123 When I had my saline sono, the RE said my lining was too "fluffy" for her liking. She wants to make sure I don't have endometritisor something like that. However, she claims that anyone who has menstrual cramping--ever--has some form of endo, which I've never heard before. I know I'm not a doctor, but that seems like a big leap. I had also only been on BC for a few days when she did the test, but she claims that your lining immediately loses that fluffy appearance even after just a few days. (Again, I know I'm not a doctor, but I'm kind of skeptical of what she's telling me, since no other doctor ever seemed concerned about my lining.)

Lurking again*** @darkstar42 once you trigger your follies have 36 hours to continue to mature and they mature at 1-2 mm a day, so even though yes they are not mature yet there is a chance they will be. I would talk with your RE... I have heard of some that will let you trigger and do the IUI with 6. Also have a heart to heart with your DH about the risk of HOM, are you OK with that risk? would you selectively reduce if it came down to it? The highest I ever did was 4. GL

@50Wife Yay! Glad your doctor is working so hard on making
this transfer successful and I hope the lining check looks good and gives you
some peace of mind!
@AlohaKumu I’m sorry you’re having to do so much to keep
your RE on track. That’s always so frustrating. Also, I used to have corduroy
overalls too… My RE said my follie situation is a real gray area, because there
are five that are large enough to be mature, but the estradiol level (550) is
consistent with three mature. We’ve decided to move forward, so we’ll see what
happens!
@beachbunnyxo123 I just talked to my RE and MH and I have
decided to move forward with the cycle, triggering tonight. My estradiol level is
consistent with what my RE would want to see (550), so it seems unlikely that all
the follies are mature. Fx we’re not setting ourselves up for a horrible
situation here.
@wabash15 Thank you for the info! My RE said she considers
five of the follies to be mature size, but my estradiol level (550) is still
reasonable, so she left the decision up to us. We have talked about selective
reduction, and I think we would do it if we had to, even though it would be
horrible. Fx we don’t have to make that decision.
@darkstar42 I'm glad you'll be able to move forward based on your hormone levels! I hope you have a successful cycle.
RE update--they just called and wanted me to come in tomorrow morning for my pre-op appointment. SERIOUSLY?! I'm a teacher and you are giving me about 24 hours notice to drop everything and come in? I got them to push the appointment time back closer to lunchtime, but once again, I'm the one who had to chase them down to even remind them that I need this appointment. Grr.

@emmasemm Wow I can't believe how bad those meds are kicking your ass!! I really hope it means they're working and it's all worth it. Hopefully AF shows soon so you can get this show on the road. @beachbunnyxo123 I'm happy things went well today (except for the pain! jeez!) and I'm even more happy that you have a date!!!!! Wahoooooo I am so excited for you!!! Also, I'd imagine we would stick with a natural cycle since he knows my lining isn't absorbing the other meds enough to have me fall into that receptive category. He said he's seeing much better results with the natural FET in patients who have average 28 day cycles so I just keep hoping I'm not an outlier and what he's been seeing is true with me too! @jrm_14 I hope you enjoyed your weekend with your parents! Good luck this cycle. Order them from Amazon on Thursday so then you can't test until Saturday! @KristoKekerooni we will be hopeful for you and you just need to do what you need to in order to protect your heart (and sanity). I really really hope this is it for you @rallykat14 Can't wait to hear how this cycle goes for you! I've got everything crossed for you guys! Do you get 6 eggs again this time (It was 6 before, right?). And good for you for bailing on the shower! I'm all about doing whatever you need to do. @darkstar42 noooooooo as I was reading I was going to question the size of your follies. I see that you've decided to move forward - did your doc kind of totally leave it up to you? Or suggest moving forward if you're ok with 3 mature? I hope it all works out for you! And ETA for your IUI? @AlohaKumu Getting closer! I hope everything goes well on Friday, good luck!! Do you have a date for your biopsy? Sorry I feel like you may have mentioned it before...
@50Wife As of right now, we are shooting for June 18 for the ERA, with the results expected the following week or so. (I think that's pretty standard based on your experience too, yeah?)

@AlohaKumu Yea you should go in for bloodwork and a scan before starting the PIO. Should be 10 days or so before your biopsy. I'm assuming the same number of days you did previously.
@50Wife She did leave it up to us, but said moving forward was reasonable, given the estradiol level, so fx. I'll trigger tonight for a Wednesday morning IUI.
@darkstar42 , Have you triggered yet? Because they grow more after trigger, I bet they were worried about them catching up. Not that it helps, but if I were in your situation, I would move forward, given your history, and the hormone levels.
@50Wife , What a rollercoaster! I really hope this ERA gives you the answers, but I am happy your doc feels comfortable in moving forward. I know it's gotta be stressful to continue after all that you have been through. HUGE hugs!
@beachbunnyxo123 , yeah, pretty much., We are adding in intralipids, if I can manage to afford them, but that's the only difference. The doctor swears it was a "fluke," and there is nothing else to be done. I even asked about ERA and further testing, but he said the hard part for me should be getting to implant. After that, it should be smooth sailing, since we did all the extras. So basically I am a freak of nature and my body hates babies. If this doesn't turn out well, I am going to see a specialist I think, maybe an immunologist? I dunno. We'll see.
@AlohaKumu , @darkstar42 , @50Wife , @beachbunnyxo123 , and anyone I missed, thank you so much for the love. I love ya'll so much. It's been a rough few months, and it'll be a rough few more regardless of outcome, but I'm glad I have ya'll by my side.
QUESTION: After FET, are there limits to what I can do? I didn't do anything last time since it was cold and I am lazy when it's cold. But I kayak every single weekend. And I certainly don't want to give that up and sit at home with my mind. Can I still kayak? Can I swim in the river? Or kayak, but stay out of the water? We have an 5 day camping/float trip planned with a bunch of friends. I'll already be the only one not drinking. Ugh.

@AlohaKumu , @50Wife , ahhh perfect. I probably won'y kayak will around 4+ DPT, so I don't think it's to close to the day of, since I'll still be in NY for all that. So you think I can swim too, or should I stay in the kayak? It's a pretty lazy river, with only a few rapids every few miles that last a total of two minutes, so I am not worried about it being strenuous. It's really just floating along the whole time.

@KristoKekerooni Yeah, my reasoning is the same as yours. The hormone levels definitely gave me a bit more peace of mind moving forward. I'll trigger tonight for a Wednesday morning IUI, so there is a chance of more follies catching up. We'll just have to see what happens! I'm trying my best to stay calm. I have acupuncture tomorrow, so that'll help.
@KristoKekerooni my understanding is that as long as your heart rate is not getting up high that light exercise is fine. My doctor would rather me to be active then inactive as long as I’m not taking it too far. I’m glad you have a lot of fun things coming up hopefully that keeps your mind occupied during the TWW. And I will definitely be thinking and praying for you! Can’t believe you’re already getting started, yay!
@AlohaKumu that’s what my biopsy today was for, to check for endometritis and inflammation. They did mine in the office but they can also do it under anesthesia during a hysteroscopy. And that’s annoying that they sprung that on you last minute I’m glad you were able to work it out!
@50Wife oh I see! That makes sense. I asked about a natural cycle this FET but I guess my last IUI my lining was only a 5.8 at trigger and for my FET it was 8mm so I guess I’m better off medicated
@darkstar42 Best wishes for the right number of follies to fertilize & implant for your safety & health.
@50wife So will your RE have your results before your appt on Friday? I love reading about your confidence!!
@alohakumu That is incredibly irritating when you’re on top of things & they’re last minute. Glad it ended up working a bit better with your schedule, closer to lunch.
@beachbunnyxo123 This new RE doesn’t do betas unless there is a +hpt. Idk when I will test. I am attempting to hold ou until at least Thursday (12dpiui).
@beachbunnyxo123 Ouch! Sorry you're biopsy hurt. I'm glad it's over for you too!
@KristoKekerooni It sucks to not feel hopeful, but it's okay to not feel hopeful. We'll be hoping for you, and thinking all the positive, embryo-sticking thoughts possible. I get all those terrible thoughts too - the "maybe I'm not meant to be a mother" thoughts. But I know deep down that's not what it means. We got dealt a bad hand, but it doesn't mean we weren't meant to be mothers. There is nothing wrong with you. You're not doing anything wrong. Hugs.
@rallykat14 Ugh. **TW** I had a sneak pregnancy announcement yesterday, and it sucks!! **end TW** I'm glad you bailed on the baby shower - put yourself first!
@50Wife So excited for you to finally be moving forward!!
@darkstar42 It's so hard to make that decision on whether or not to move forward when you're in that gray area. Sorry you had to make that decision today. Best of luck to you that one of those follies fertilizes!
@AlohaKumu That sucks you are chasing down the clinic. Hopefully they get their act together.
@emmasemm What autoimmune issue do you have? To add: Oh I see RA. What is APS they are testing for? It's nice to see some other ladies on here who have autoimmune issues. Do you go through flare ups and remissions too or is RA pretty much all of the time? Nice photo. You look like such a lively girl! I'm sorry that you slept most of your holiday. I know what that's like. It's difficult but it's apparent that your body just needed it. Do you think it is related to your condition? Idk much about RA or if fatigue is a common thing with it. Hopefully all of that rest was the ticket for getting your ovaries to stimulate for you. Hugs to you
@beachbunnyxo123 Ugh, I'm so sorry that you are going through all of this. Those biopsies are the worst! I don't know why they don't just put us out for all of it. Why have you had to do two hysteroscopies?, if you don't mind me asking. I'm glad you are getting closer to a transfer. Rooting for you! Hang in there. When do you get your biopsy results?
@jrm_14 I don't think I knew you have an autoimmune disease either! Which do you have? Chances are you prob told me in a pm and I forgot Good luck on Thursday, fx! It's great you got to visit with your parents. Do you get to visit with them often?
@KristoKekerooni Hugs. You have been through SO much, to say the very least. I know that you are exhausted. Your feelings are not silly, ever. I think that it's okay to not feel hope sometimes and so, we will hope for you. Hugs I'm curious, have you been with the same RE this entire time?
@rallykat14 Bail away! It's necessary and I'm glad that you are doing what you can to protect your mental health. 8 more days! I'm so excited for you.
@darkstar42 I fully support your decision to continue. Good thoughts coming your way for Wednesday. I wish that your follies will do what they will do to give you the best chance and that the ones that aren't necessary will diminish. Fx!
@50Wife When is your transfer scheduled for? So the biopsy can check to see if the uterus will be receptive to implantation?
@AlohaKumu Good luck for your appointment on Friday. Hopefully your determination by way of advocating for yourself will free her up to better help those ladies new to it. I'm sorry because I know how frustrating that is. To add: Oh I see they bumped it up so good luck today!
Ladies, I pray for all of you often.
People think we become mothers when we give birth but the truth is we become mothers the moment we start calling our babies to us in our thoughts, dreams and prayers. Some paths are short and some are so long that you can easily forget where you were headed.

@jrm_14 Honestly, I'd be shocked if he had my results by Friday - I just feel like it's too soon! And I'm confident for now, whenever that embryo is finally transferred I'm going to be shitting my pants and freaking out the entire time just wondering if what we did was good enough! I mean, I'm more confident because I know the normal FET protocol doesn't work for me. So at least we took that out as an option that wouldn't work.
@suzycupcake , For the IVF, yes. We briefly saw another RE when we got H's diagnosis. But I wasn't a fan. If this one doesn't work out, I will see what they say, but probably pursue another option, just to see if we can get a reason for the losses. The current RE just keeps saying he doesn't know, and "sometimes these things just happen." That's just not good enough for me. How am I supposed to know if it's an embryo problem or a uterus problem? I don't know if we should move forward with adopting an embryo or using a surro until I know where the issues lies.

Oh man, I am so behind this week. Hope everyone had a great weekend and a good start to the week so far!
@emmasemm Sigh, those meds have really kicked your butt. I hope that they work for you and start to get your energy back soon and that your ovaries are not taking a nap. Love the getup for the Royal wedding, so cute.
@beachbunnyxo123 Sorry that it hurt, but glad that you didn't have to get put under again. FX for good results.
@jrm_14 Hoping that number three is the lucky one for you! Aw I feel so bad for you having that accident with your period. My sister had a few of those too and it is so awful.
@KristoKekerooni I have no words of wisdom, but I am sending you all my positive vibes and wishing nothing but the best for you and your little embies!
@rallykat14 I wouldn't feel bead about skipping the shower either. You have to take care of you, first and foremost.
@darkstar42 Oh I am so glad that you are still going through with your cycle. Everything crossed that you won't be faced with any tough decisions though. I have also lost my bikini top on way too many occasions.
@AlohaKumu That is frustrating. The other patients must be lost, I would be lost. Luckily you know what you are have to deal with and are able to take charge of thing. Not cool at all. But good luck for Friday!
@50Wife That is great that your doctor is working on trying to make this cycle work for you and that he is confident. Really reassuring.
What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): OB/GYN Jun 7th
How are things going?: This weekend was a rough go, getting the MRI results and then AF showing up the next day. I was not a happy camper at all. But I pulled myself together and have been doing loads of research, went and go myself a new book to read, ordered a metric ton of new supplements and then drowned my sorrows in chocolate salted caramel ice cream bars.
Any questions?: Anyone have any experience with Pelvic Congestion Syndrome or Adenomyosis? Also, from reading my reports it looks like my lining is only 6mm, which I would assume could be problematic? Other than pom juice and RRL tea, any other tips on increasing blood flow to the uterus and helping the lining? TIA
GTKY: Wedding dance floor fail. Apparently too many drinks, too low to the floor and I completely ripped my crotch demonstrating my rug cutting moves. I didn't even notice until I went to pee (in a bush because I couldn't wait in the line) later that evening. Winning!
@rallykat14 oh yes that’s right I remember 6 from your first cycle. I’m hoping so very hard for you!!
@nitnat007 what cycle day was your MRI? Your lining will measure differently depending on where you are at in your cycle so I probably wouldn’t worry too much about that unless they were measuring right at ovulation with the purpose of checking thickness. Are they havin you follow up with an OB? Is that the diagnosis they gave you?
@suzycupcake I had a hysteroscopy in October because of my difficult IUIs and my doctor couldn’t get a catheter in for my saline sono. At that hysteroscopy he put me under anesthesia and he still couldn’t get the cath in, $3k out of pocket for absolutely nothing. Had to do it again with another surgeon in February, he found a polyp that wasn’t seen on a saline sono so he removed it and he also dilated my cervix to correct my cervical stenosis which was making it difficult and very painful to pass a cath through to my uterus. My biopsy results should be in within about 2 weeks.
Re: IF Testing and Treatment - week of 05/21
Status (WTO/TWW/TTA): WFAF

What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?):
just had my endometrial biopsy this morning. Now I’ll stay on BCPs until next Monday and start meds for my transfer on 6/1
How are things going?:
good.

@beachbunnyxo123 Yikes- that sounds incredibly painful. When will you get the results?
Diagnosis (if you've been): Autoimmune, adrenal/ovarian insufficiency, MFI.
Status (WTO/TWW/TTA): TWW

@emmasemm Fx so hard that you get the green light for this cycle! I’m sorry the priming has been so rough.
@beachbunnyxo123 So glad the cervical dilation worked so well! The biopsy sounds torturous, but hopefully the results are good!
@jrm_14 I hope this IUI works for you and you don’t have to move on to any next steps! I’m glad you had the distraction of your parents visit. Things like that always help with the TWW.
@KristoKekerooni As you’ve helped the rest of us to remember, whether or not this works doesn’t depend on how hopeful you feel. IF sucks, so take care of yourself and protect your heart however you need to. Sending so many internet hugs.
@rallykat14 Bailing on baby showers is pretty much a necessity at this point! I fully support your decision.
Diagnosis (if you've been): unexplained, AMA
Status (WTO/TWW/TTA): WTO
Status (WTO/TWW/TTA): WF more testing

@jrm_14 when is your beta? Will you test at all?

@darkstar42 once you trigger your follies have 36 hours to continue to mature and they mature at 1-2 mm a day, so even though yes they are not mature yet there is a chance they will be.

Glad your doctor is working so hard on making this transfer successful and I hope the lining check looks good and gives you some peace of mind!
@AlohaKumu I’m sorry you’re having to do so much to keep your RE on track. That’s always so frustrating. Also, I used to have corduroy overalls too… My RE said my follie situation is a real gray area, because there are five that are large enough to be mature, but the estradiol level (550) is consistent with three mature. We’ve decided to move forward, so we’ll see what happens!
@beachbunnyxo123 I just talked to my RE and MH and I have decided to move forward with the cycle, triggering tonight. My estradiol level is consistent with what my RE would want to see (550), so it seems unlikely that all the follies are mature. Fx we’re not setting ourselves up for a horrible situation here.
@wabash15 Thank you for the info! My RE said she considers five of the follies to be mature size, but my estradiol level (550) is still reasonable, so she left the decision up to us. We have talked about selective reduction, and I think we would do it if we had to, even though it would be horrible. Fx we don’t have to make that decision.
Grr.

I really really hope this is it for you
@rallykat14 Can't wait to hear how this cycle goes for you!

QUESTION:
After FET, are there limits to what I can do? I didn't do anything last time since it was cold and I am lazy when it's cold. But I kayak every single weekend. And I certainly don't want to give that up and sit at home with my mind. Can I still kayak? Can I swim in the river? Or kayak, but stay out of the water? We have an 5 day camping/float trip planned with a bunch of friends. I'll already be the only one not drinking. Ugh.

Winning!
@madspunk how are you doing friend?
